(ThyBlackMan.com) Things got worse for GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul when his GOP presidential rival Newt Gingrich called Ron Paul on the carpet for purported racially inflammatory utterances he made in the 1990s in his officially approved newsletters, “Ron Paul’s Political Report” and “Ron Paul’s Freedom Report,” which brought in a considerable haul of cash. Ron Paul’s purported half-baked racial scribbles are by now well known. He bashed blacks as chronic welfare grifters, thugs, lousy parents, and said they are inherently racist toward whites. Ron Paul issued a terse denial that he authored or even read any of the racial slanders at the time but there is no evidence that he wrote a correction, or issued a clarification.
Ron Paul was back at it again in 2008. On his campaign website ronpaul2008.com, Ron Paul spotlighted race as “Issue: Racism.” “Government as an institution is particularly ill-suited to combat bigotry.” In short, the 1954 landmark Supreme Court’s Brown vs. Board of education school desegregation decision, the 1964 and 1968 Civil Rights Acts, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, and legions of court decisions and state laws that bar discrimination are worthless. Worse, said Ron Paul, they actually promoted bigotry by dividing Americans into race and class. None of this would have much mattered to Gingrich or much of the media if Paul hadn’t become a front runner in the Iowa Caucus.
His kind of sort of, let’s drop the subject retort to the press challenge to forcefully repudiate the past writings was the standard Ron Paul dodge. The jury then and now is still out on whether those views truly represent his feelings or not. He loudly protests that he’s not a racist now because he has to if he is to have any credibility as a serious presidential contender. But protests and dodges, don’t change the reasons for Ron Paul’s seemingly out of the pale attacks. They likely did accurately reflect Ron Paul’s thoughts about racial matters, if not in the crude wording, as he protests wasn’t his wording, but in political sentiment. That’s the operative word, “sentiment” because this sentiment can easily morph into lethal and incendiary public policy advocacy.
Ron Paul’s boast that he would not have voted for the landmark 1964 civil rights bill that’s been the law of the land for nearly six decades is a textbook case in point.
Ron Paul’s rap against the bill is just as absurd and tortured as the rap that Southern Democrats and Northern GOP conservatives who bottled the bill up for more than a year in Congress used to pretty up their opposition to it. It violated property rights. Ron Paul, nearly six decades after their efforts failed in a interview reiterated, “…I’m for property rights and for state’s rights, and therefore I’m a racist, that’s just outlandish.”
The equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment wiped away the bogus claim that property rights trumps racial discrimination a century before Ron Paul and Jim Crow maintenance proponents used this ploy to torpedo the civil rights bill. But his anti-civil rights position linked directly to the old property rights canard fits neatly into the stock libertarian argument that the best thing that government can do is stay out of the affairs of private citizens and private business. That the root of America’s woes — bloated spending, soaring deficits, congressional gridlock, crippling energy dependence, massive tax disparities, the drug plague, and even America’s wars are the result of top heavy government interference and intrusion in the lives of Americans. Ron Paul also knows that spicing up the horribly distorted Jeffersonian principle of limited government with race has broad implications for scrapping regulations on environmental and civil liberties, and consumer protections, gutting regulations to prevent corporate abuses, and of course, slashing funding or eliminating government health services, education, welfare, and labor rules and laws. He has drilled home in his talks, lectures, and innumerable GOP presidential debates. Ron Paul’s seeming anti-establishment, anti-party, maverick position plays well to the legions of frustrated, disgusted, even enraged GOP rank and filers and purported libertarians that are desperate to have an alternative to the GOP establishment anointed presidential contenders.
Ron Paul can be magnanimous and apologize for the racist rants while deftly deflecting blame to someone else and then quickly lecturing the press to get over it and talk about the “substantive” issues. But the dredge up of the newsletters gave him what he wanted. He is a near household name and a viable force in the GOP. A slash and burn assault on government, even when its race tinged, doesn’t hurt Ron Paul one bit. It gets media and public attention, draws denunciations from his defenders as hitting below the belt, and quiet cheers from the multitudes that happen to agree with Ron Paul, his racial suspect views notwithstanding. In other words, Ron Paul flunks the R (Racism) test for good reason.

If I wish to employ only black people in my private business, I should be able to. I should not have to employ white people just because the law requires it!
This is the civil rights nonsense which Ron Paul stands against. Only the childish will believe Ron is racist. ALL the others, Obama included, are the racist ones.
unbelievable dribble. you can’t possibly believe Ron Paul is racist.
Wow! Enlightening comments! 1-888-322-1414 Merry Christmas to one and all; red and yellow, black and white; republican, democrat, libertarian; barbarian, Scythian, Jew and Greek–ya know–Jesus Christ died for the sins of the entire human race, and we’ve all ‘been there done that’. Cheers!
@David, I wish there was a like or fan button here! But instead Great Post!!!!
Racist bias exist in our police right now. Blacks are disproportionately held in jail for non-violent crimes (read this as taking drugs). If I am that guy in prison or his family, I’d rather be freed by “racist” Paul than kept there by neocons and their war brothers in Democratic party.
Regarding CRA, I am Paul supporter and I have mixed feeling on his CRA standing.
When Paul says that CRA is taking away freedom of a person to manipulate private property in any manner that is not affecting freedom of others, he is logically correct. As someone who lived in communist country I understand his concern – once government sets that principal for something that majority of us would approve as right (“not discriminating your clients”), it is possible it will be extended to something that is less desirable as in “you cannot serve those that aren’t Party members, or those belonging to ethnicity we are currently in war with”. This is similar to freedom of the speech – you have to listen to some idiots who are talking trash, racial slurs and expressing bigoted views, although it would be more appropriate to slap them over mouth and tell them to shut up. However, there is a danger that if you ban them now, tomorrow your question why Fed owners have right to print money out of nothing, give it to banks, so that they can lend it to US for higher interest with effectively no risk would be classified as “unpatriotic” and as such forbidden.
On the other hand when Dr Paul says that racial relationship in US improved despite CRA act, I am not sure that is true. I don’t know how to measure the effect of CRA act on racial relationship, so I am left with my hunch. My hunch would tell me that this government “push” might have helped in the long run. Looking back, I think that CRA brought a lot more good than bad. I hope it stays that way in the future.
I have problem with some other standings of Dr Paul (for example, his anti-abortion preference), but positive stuff about Paul overweights so much (anti-war, personal freedom, end the fed) that I have to vote for him. Comparing him to corporate puppets like Romney, Gingrich or Obama doesn’t leave much choice anyway.
Basically, this article can be condensed to “Ron Paul says he’s not a racist. But I don’t believe him. So he’s a racist, because I say so.” As a bonus, it’s written by an associate of Al Sharpton, who profits from and deliberately stirs up racial hatred.
I’m supporting Ron Paul. Anyone who can earn the hatred of warmongers, racists, multimillionaires, and egotistical “experts” deserves my vote.
This guy has massive inferiority complex
This is quite a sorry excuse for journalism. Everything Dr. Paul has ever said AND done completely contradicts these racist accusations. Guess who voted for MLK day as a holiday? RON PAUL. Wanna know something even funnier? Gingrich VOTED AGAINST IT!
Sad to see another media smear on the only honest and consistent politician in Washington. Do you really think Newt or Mitt cares about African Americans or ANYONE for that matter?! Doctor Ron Paul fights for liberty for ALL people, regardless of the groups the media and government has classified them as. Vote for PEACE AND PROSPERIY. Vote Ron Paul 2012.
ThyNegroman Why do you feel you need white people to tell you what to think and when to think it. If this is truly your stance you knew it long ago because this information’s been around for a long time. Only now you come out with this bag of lies and falsehoods when weeks ago this very same website had plenty positive remarks for Dr. Paul. We know your slaves to the establishment but your so brazen with it at this point it shows how desperate you little minions really are.
This is a MSM syndicated column! When did thyblackman start publishing MSM crap?
http://youtu.be/F-DQ1cRtcE4 check it out.
Nelson to spout goebbels in relation to Earl is plain ignorance,if anyone is a goebbels progeny it would have to be Ron Paul with his newsletters, talk about the best form of defence is attack.
Its amazing the legislation that the hypocrites have passed in Washington without reading any of the bill. Ron Paul is supposed to account for every word published under his letterhead though. He has disavowed them . Anyone who knows anything about this man knows he personally in incapable of what he’s accused of. The puppet masters days are at hand as well as their minions in the media. Enjoy your final days.
The leader of the NAACP in Texas is racist because Ron Paul is racist. It is a thought crime and racist to deny ThyBlackMan’s deep research into the content of this article. To disagree with this comment would be racist.
I always come to thyblackman for unbiased articles, and the fact there articles seem to have a little different slant to them! But this article is just the same as the MSM crap! If you think Ron Paul is a racist, DON’T VOTE FOR HIM!! But quit trying to make other people agree with you! Sure it was not a good idea for Ron Paul to let disgusting crap like this appear under his name, but it did happen! He explained it to the best of his ability. Other words everyone knows about them, so it is time to move on!!!
Ron Paul 2012!!!
I’m glad everyone is finally seeing that Ron Paul is a hypocrite, just like all the others…and that skinny, ghetto crack head obama…it’s time to start over with a new government…the jews are in control, so we all gotta get together build an artificial intelligence to take the place of government…and legalize all drugs!
The leader of the NAACP in Austin Texas said Ron Paul isn’t a racist.
http://www.therightperspective.org/2011/12/24/ron-paul-no-racist-naacp-austin-president/
@Peoples: 1. Our legal system MUST treat all defendants the same regardless of race, creed or color because it’s federal law and federal laws can’t be racist. You’d be racist to deny this. 2. Ron Paul is racist and opposes civil rights because he opposes one provision in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and everyone knows that opposing federal law is racist. That’s why Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King were racists. 3. Slavery in other countries has not ended because only government mandate and war can end social problems. To deny these truths would be racist. Any negative reply to this message is racist.
The establishment is desperate to discredit or marganilize Ron Paul any way they can, this article speaks volumes to that fact. It all eminates from the fact Dr. Paul, a true supporiter of America’s men and women in uniform does not want to see their blood shed in various assholes of the world for a foreign policy which is really counter to American interests but fits nicely with the ambitions of Israel. He will not be bought off by AIPAC as so many of “our” polkiticians are. Good for him.
I’m not going to comment too much on this article. I will say it’s the worst kind of yellow journalism and is filled with lies and half-truths.
I know for a fact that Ron Paul is not a racist and if you listen to the people that know him (like leaders in the NAACP) you’d find he’s just guilty of the charges laid down in the article above.
If the black community decides to go against Paul they will be loosing the only chance they have in this election cycle to elect someone that will do major things to help blacks, things Obama, Mitt and Newt never will. I can not believe how duped the author is and how easily he’s manipulated.
I think if the blacks in this country take a good long look at what the candidates say and what they plan to do they will vote for Paul as he represents the least racist person in all of congress.
I know to the many blacks that are supporting Dr. Paul that this issue is very insulting as the other candidates seem to believe that gullibility and ignorance abound and that the blacks in America can be easily manipulated and steered toward the candidate they’ve chosen for election.
This prominant leader of the NAACP seems to think your “lamestream media” attacks are motivated by something other than news.
http://www.therightperspective.org/2011/12/24/ron-paul-no-racist-naacp-austin-president/
Funny how the author of this hit piece doesn’t mention how Ron Paul voted for MLK day when………..FIG NEWTON did not. Yes I`m sure you all have to take your turn on the Ron Paul bashing and yes you paycheck is safe but really……………
Ron Paul 2012
What are YOU talking about? And who is paying you to smear Ron Paul is the question….
Long live ThyBlackMan! Which unfortunately should also put out the similar disclaimer that most who hear about the “newsletters” forget to realize:
“the following opinions expressed may not necessarily represent the views of the publisher, or its advertisers, viewer/reader discretion advised.”
SHOCKING! SHOCKING! that statist Ofari may occasionally verbalize his usually poorly researched history that would could naturally lead one to break out the popcorn & read with sheer bemusement(as in laughing AT you Ofari), all of which ThyBlackMan has no minute to minute control over.
Having stated such, what more can anyone say about Ofari’s view reflecting a completely historically amnesic view that can only come from a mindlessly liberal and worshiper of FDR & Lincoln the state centralizers in chief?
Ofari loves the fact that a strong central Fed.gvt was able to dictate that just because of your skin color you should be locked up in concentration camp during WWII, in America, if you were of Japanese, Italian, and German lineage.
Ofari completely ignores the fact that main motivation behind Lincoln was NEVER abolition, as ANY jr.high school history student who actually got the homework assignment note & actually read the Lincoln’s personal letters as well as statements described in depth on the issue of race: it was all about keeping the Union together, at all costs, mainly deaths of 650,000 souls which I must assume in Ofari’s psychotic mind, ‘hey all those racist bastards deserved to die anyway, what better way to send a message’ would not be too far off.
Except, thousands of pro-abolitionists, newspaper writers & editors, undergroundrailroad operators, slaves, freedom fighters, innocent women raped, children maimed & killed, all along with them ‘racist bastards.’ Yeah, funny how cannons & bullets don’t distinguishes who is a friend or foe, once it’s out of the muzzle and aimed poorly.
ALL WARS are a racket, Ofari!
Then again, as shocking as it may be Ofari to consider, frankly many actually view FDR’s fascist New Deal Program (yes, FASCIST because it’s an EXACT COPY of Mussolini’s! Of course, if you actually studied history, not what public indoctrination centers ‘taught’ you, you’d know that Ofari),
Tell me Ofari, does oBUSHma stops being GWB 2.0, when he’s continued and expanded ALL of GWB’s illegalities & warcrimes?
Do you even live in the real world? Do you honestly believe a man who is about to sign S1867/H1540 NDAA policestate/Posse Commitatus destruction bill into law can be trusted to roll back all of the growing DHS policestate at home?
If you actually had a geopolitical neuron in you brain, you’d see that all the corporatist empire parade that the Left usually love bitching about committed against the “3rd world” or the brutal militant policestate measures used against innocent people of color in the name of a drugwar at home, is nothing but a BETA-TEST for the real golden goose: middle class America.
But suppose we go by your childish logic of keep them 650,000 not-all-racists dead-meme, one would have to assume what’s coming down the pike for rest of America is what the people of color had to endure everyday for the last 500yrs, so time they learned a lesson eh?
But, once everyone loses freedoms, it won’t come back Ofari.
And you know who’s the only one that can & will end all wars abroad & at home? Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul.
Do you know why people who have actually read Ron Paul’s THOUSANDS of articles and books, listened to him live and on air interviewed on radio/TV & at speeches 1MILLION % DON’T BELIEVE he wrote them, NOR APPROVED them?
1. because we actually READ his works, and followed his principally consistent individual liberty philosophy that he’s walked the talk on bravely, for over 40yrs
2. because the chief reason why NO ONE believes a bunch of newsletters not written by Ron Paul 20yrs ago?
It’s because they’re a bunch of newsletter NOT written by Ron Paul 20yrs ago!
Ron Paul maybe one of the most archived politicians in American history, let alone for a mere Congressman. You think a closet “racist” could work that long in public leading a ‘double life’ without being caught doing a Freudian slip, or a “macaca moment?”
Your black president has killed MORE Americans & Afghans in Afghanistan in his 4yrs than entire tenure of GWB, not to mention more illegal CIA drone bombing against muslims, especially in Pakistan, along with ASSASSINATING TWO AMERICAN CITIZENS, raiding more innocent medical marijuana dispensories/raw milk farmers/organic farmers across America than GWB could ever dream of doing.
Let me repeat, Obama whom you support has MURDERED people.
MURDERED people.
Do you get that, Ofari? The man you support MURDERED people.
Do you get that?
You think those of us watching likes of FakeNews or CNN featuring war/police state policy designers talking slick in $5000 suit ON MSM TV/radio doing segments, paid to consult for them, isn’t a TRILLION TIMES worse, if not infinitely more DISGUSTING than a newsletter NOT written by Ron Paul, whose only mistake is negligent publisher duty, in which what he thought was delegating the task to a trusted colleague who let those ghostwrites go off the reservation? If you ever ran a business, these things happen, with print, once it’s out, it’s out. & since passages went on under his name, he just has to live with it. But lessons learned, as exhibited by his successful OB/GYN practice which he was doing full time when those newseletters went out, ran a successful gold coin dealership/investment firm, 12 terms as a Congressman without having ANY of his aides go off the reservation, and his other freedom advocacy groups.
Suppose if people spewed same crap in your comment sections at ThyBlackMan, should the publisher apologize for everyone who makes off hand remark here, too?
People forget that in the age of internet, there’s instant moderator who’s ‘controlling’ the ‘publication.’ In the snailmail age, once it’s out, it’s out. No moderation. capice?
Plus those passages are 7 in 4 issues, out of THOUSANDS of passages across 9yrs.
So, puhleeze, give me a break.
Frankly a statist socialist like yourself Ofari who espouses an idea whose active followers were responsible for murder of over 300million people alone in the last century, are nothing more than a modern day Goebbels’ progeny.
So, I know you feel you’re a nice guy, but to those who actually studied history, watching people like yourself considered the “norm” in political opinion is frankly, disgusting.
Then again, the entirely deluded AmeriKan sheeple don’t seem to be able to make the distinction that anytime likes of CNN/MSNBC/FakeNews feature Clinton, GWB or their aides who designed murderous war/occupation/murder/rape/torture/secret indef.detention abroad/DHS police state at home, aren’t even in the same class as a bunch of print publication NOT WRITTEN by the accused.
CNN ‘prints’ when they feature these murderers on TV. Make no mistake, Clinton, GWB, & their aides are MURDERERS. Their pen is MUCH mightier than Ron Paul’s NON-PEN which killed no one.
Wake the hell up.
But I don’t expect you to change. After all you’ve invested way too much of your life into statist’ murderous ideology.
How gullible are the sheeple? Observe.
http://thehill.com/video/campaign/201317-ron-paul-supporters-uncut-video-shows-he-didnt-storm-out-of-cnn-interview
ThyBlackMan,
What is the deal? Another bad article? Why? What is up with yall? Hating on the only candidate that stands for civil liberties? Why?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip3zcBJCEJs
Ohh look another typical black man writing about how he’s racist towards the white man. Typical of some black people. And they think white people are racist….give me a break!!
Judging by the pro Gringrich and Romney ads on this website, One would think this article is biased against ron paul. Also, thank you thyblackman for not linking this article to the supposed articles. I just love being led around like a fucking sheep.
If you cannot be objective and process what you’re saying then stop trying your hand at journalism. Accept the answers that he gives 50 times. When he is pressed to answer the question repeatedly the purpose seems more sensational than newsworthy. If you don’t accept his answer then disagree with it. It’s a great way for all of us to be misdirected from other more weighty issues of insolvency and sending troops around the globe to fight and die over border skermishes rather than fighting for a sovereign America with our own border problems. How do you expect a man to print a retraction over a story that was written in his name 20 years ago that he read 10 years after its printing. That makes no sense. If you don’t like his answer that’s fine “Blackman”. There is no reason, other than demogogery, to suspend factual reporting and inflammatory conversation.
Let me start out by saying I am a Ron Paul supporter. There is no way to justify these documents. The remarks were negative racial stereotyping to the nth degree. WIth that said, I have listened to and read many of Paul’s speeches and I truly believe this was marketed under his name without his knowledge. I believe he was negligent in oversight just as I’m certain other people who sell their name to a brand does not oversee all the details. In looking at his actions, and his public comments from his mouth, I see no hint of views as such displayed in the newsletters. As a doctor, he treated poor minorities for free and he is the most outspoken candidate in regards to the injustices in our legal and penal system towards minorities. I do not believe his arguments against the civil rights act and desegregation are driven out of racial motivation but more out of his libertarian leanings. That doesn’t mean his argument was correct, but it was idealogical and not race based.
Earl Ofari Hutchinson is at it again with his anti-ron paul rhetoric, and has joined the left and extreme right using the race card, which is the only thing that can come up with. Unfortunately it is back firing.
They always leave 30 years of Paul’s history out of their “opinion.” They also leave out Paul’s REAL associations over the years, like with his openly gay friend for 12 years Kent Snyder, his jewish and black friends, like Walter Williams, will which defies the charge of racism. Then they refuse to make a point that they have NEVER heard him speak like that and there is not one single audio or video clip of him speaking anything remotely like that.
Then they cite John Birch Society and other so-called racist groups as proof that he is a racist, because he spoke at their events. Again, if he was racist he would have been fueling racist slurs at such events. He did not and has not.
The establishment is so scared of Ron Paul, and for good reason. He would stop a lot of the corruption and the REAL RACISM going on in this country. Like drug wars, judicial bias and overseas wars against brown people.
RON PAUL 2012!
You’re all just farting in the wind.
Words, words, words…
Fart, fart, fart.
Farts in the wind…
All you’re doing is farts in the wind…
All that comes from your mouth is farts in the wind…
You all stink.
Go away. Go find some other planet to stink up. You’re killing this one.
Stupid Ferengi.
@Gerlad, are you kidding? Our legal system treats minorities the same as whites? Why are most minorities disproportionately punished for the same crimes as whites? Ron Paul has always brought up this issue.
Ron Paul doesn’t oppose civil rights, he opposes the Federal government using a bogus transportation clause to force the states to accept integration, which is unconstitutional. It wasn’t even the correct legal procedure to take.
As for slavery, Ron Paul merely said that Europe got rid of slavery without having a civil war.
How come nobody mentions Ron Paul’s stance that the justice system and war on drugs unfairly targets minorities?
Oh, and people like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King were strongly supported by the government. All those protests of the 60s and marches on Washington were to display solidarity for government policies. The U.S. government was and is filled with enlightened people who must force the poor, violent and bigoted citizenry to treat each other humanely. Our lives would be short, nasty, and brutish without wise leaders to manage our social interactions.
Ron Paul is advocating for equality of government, the idea that government should treat everyone the same. No matter what you’re race, religion, wealth, attitude, or morals are the government should treat everyone the same! So the Civil rights act of 1964 is Racist, the Jim Crow laws were racist, the progressive tax is discriminatory towards the rich, welfare steals millions of dollars from the middle and upper class and gives it to the poor and lazy, social security gives people in retirement more money than they put in- stealing from the unretired, Ron Paul wants to abolish FEDERAL health services- FEDERAL managment of education, and get rid of burdensome regulations that keep big businesss from profiting and hiring more employees(More Hiring=Lower unemployment). Earl Hutchinson, stop twisting the minute details of his campaign into a negative thing when he is the most fair, least racist, and smartest candidate in this election.
Sad that a champion of treating people as individuals instead of groups based on color, is here, and you can’t support him. Sad…
There is no better thing than treating people as individuals, Ron Paul 2012.
What a bunch of crap. God forbid anyone wrote a positive article about the real front runner.
Ron Paul did not write them. He disavows the articles. HE SPEAKS WITH HIS ACTIONS. but nothing he says is good enough, you 24 hour “news” “journalists” just have to keep pressing the issue because you can’t think of anything more intelligent to report on.
THYBLKACKMAN STAFF ARE all a bunch of black communist negros
it’s foriegn policy that is racist.

Thank you !
Brown v. Board of Ed and the Civil Rights Act solved the problem of racism in America! Public schools and private businesses today provide equal educational and economic opportunities for all because it’s a law. Our legal system effectively treats white collar and blue collar, white, black, Hispanic criminals the same because it follows universal logic which is color blind. Americans are no longer divided by race because of government mandate not because of free associations and voluntary choice. If the U.S. government hadn’t stepped in, there would still be slavery in America today and the world would look much like Beyond Thunderdom. The obviousness of these facts are self-evident and any who would question them must be racist (even though we cured that disease long ago). This is not propaganda, it just can’t be questioned because that would be racist. Any negative response to this message is also racist.
This guy should work for FOX news. Let’s ignore the fact that he’s the most popular candidates among NON-whites and how the ONLY non-constitional thing he has voted for was for giving Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. his own day. Clearly “research” means nothing to this guy.
Ron Paul 2012
If you think Ron Paul is a racist you truly have hate in your heart or your just incompetent. Merry Christmas everyone!
Life.Love.Liberty.
Ron Paul 2012
Watch the 8-9 minute interview, seeing how CNN intentionally cuts the video to make it sound like he’s impatient and storming out. In truth, it’s Gloria’s relentless repetition of the same questions. Watch and learn.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RLonnC_ZWQ0
Gloria Borger is married to LANCE MORGAN. Lance is the chief communications and crisis strategist of POWELL? TATE. Powell Tate is a D.C. firm that represents every part of the very same MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX that Ron Paul wants to reduce!
This is a total conflict of interest! Her husband’s firm includes overseeing a coalition to support congressional funding to parts of the U.S. Military! All of these “journalists” seem to be profiting from these wars! They thrive off of the misery of others.
Ron Paul is inarguably the LEAST racist candidate. The civil rights act is inherently racist legislation, not to mention collectivist and unconstitutional.
Furthermore, Ron Paul is the only candidate in favor for the complete end to the “War on Drugs”, possibly the single most racist thing to come from the government since legal slavery.
To claim Ron Paul is a racist is to be completely ignorant towards his views and towards the effects of policy that claims to promote equality but instead forces further inequality, including any policy that enforces affirmative action.
Luckily those who support Dr Paul understand his stance on issues and know that he is the only candidate who can bring about a real change to status quo. Why do you think the media is attacking him mercilessly on these baseless issues? Because Paul SCARES them. They, and the rest of the corporate empires that are in control don’t want to give up their power hold.
Vote for change! Vote Ron Paul 2012!
I’ve seen Ron Paul speak many times about this issue. I’ve heard the President of the NAACP talk about this issue. Ron Paul is not a racist, and does not strike me as one in any way. The reasons that he gave for not voting for the Civil Rights act are right on. They are unconstitutional, and he has ALWAYS voted for things that are unconstitutional. He does not support racism, and just like he wants to legalize drugs does not mean that he supports drugs. Every man woman and child has the right to do what they please on their property as long as it does not infringe on others’ rights. This man is not a racist, and he doesn’t care that you are one either. where’s thywhiteman.com anyway? oh wait… that would be racist…
O above said it well. Ron Paul has championed the fight against the viciously racist federal drug laws, enforcement, and sentencing in a way no other candidate has. The question comes down to whether we want to fight real racism or just use it as a witch hunt political tool.
Furthermore, on the “no evidence that he wrote a correction, or issued a clarification” point right at the beginning, logic dictates that you cannot prove the null hypothesis. In other words, the burden of evidence lies with the ones making the accusation, not the one defending. Because if that wasn’t the case, we could all just go around accusing each other of false things and then scramble to “prove” innocence with evidence, such as being done to Dr. Paul now. All of this because a candidate of substance wants to fight real racism?
But don’t take it from us. Take it from Nelson Linder, head of NAACP Austin who sides with Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is not a racist. If you can’t understand his view on the Rights issue, listen/watch Dr.Walter E Williams a prominent African-American Libertarian he explains why Paul’s position on it is right.
Seriously this the best the media can do? Paul is the only guy with a dry closet so we’re going to have to say he hates blacks and gays even though his views all align in defense of minorities.
Here’s a guy attacking the cancer drug war, and its uneven treatment of minorities.
Why not go read the few books he’s written, why not read the articles and watch his interviews and discussions from decades?
“…He bashed blacks as chronic welfare grifters, thugs, lousy parents, and said they are inherently racist toward whites. …”
– Ron Paul says he did not write that statement, disavows it and takes moral responsibility for neglecting to monitor every word of the newsletters and prevent these statement from being published.
(SPEAKING IN CONGRESS) – RON PAUL: “Mr. Speaker, I rise today in opposition to H.R. 573. At the same time, I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.
RON PAUL ON MARTIN LUTHER KING AND ROSA PARKS (“… Rosa Parks is one of my heroes…”)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
What part of “the War on Drugs is racist” and “if I were elected president I would pardon all non-violent drug prisoners both Black and White” do you not understand?
Worst case scenario…
