(ThyBlackMan.com) A few weeks ago I wrote an article about the inimitable Ron Paul (R) Texas. The article’s theme was the dangers of Mr. Ron Paul and it focused on his comments about the Federal Emergency Management Association, FEMA, and, I believe that I touched into Paul’s social beliefs which I truly feel are based in bigotry. If the word bigotry is a bit disturbing, then supplant the word with ‘socially biased’ and ‘non-compassionate libertarian”. Ron Paul: Another Look at the Irrationally Irresponsible and Ron Paul Exposed.
A bit of detail related to assertion in the previous paragraphs about ‘the dangers’ of Mr. Ron Paul. After writing the“Irrationally and Irresponsible”, and posting the article to a website, I received a response from a Ron Paul supporter. The supporter connected to the website “Progressives for Ron Paul“. ( I do not have the url; do not need it ,nor want it). Basically, the response was in the realm of why I should support Ron Paul for the GOP nomination. Why, because he is not likely to defeat President Obama in the General Election. Wow, I actually read that comment.
I realize that U.S. politics is wrought with mind games, subterfuge and out-right manipulation but, the comment really bothered me. Someone was suggesting the I tone-down my comment about Ron Paul and fall-in-line to support him (Or stop writing negatively about him) for sake of paving a way for a flawed GOP candidate. You must understand that the writer was very pleasant and non-confrontational. But, the writer (who happened to be male) asked that I go against my thoughts (and beliefs) on Paul to provide a soft candidate to run against Obama. There-in lies a set of problems that for most people could induce a lack of sleep.
How different is that than common GOP political trickery and subterfuge?
My paradigm was shaken because I was asked to partake in that ‘game; or I was the unwitting potential victim of Paul Campaign trickery.
Let me state unequivocally that Ron Paul is not a viable candidate for president of the United States of America.
My reason for ‘going there’? If you read the linked article above, you probably have a sense of my concerns about Mr. Ron Paul. The concerns go far deeper than his social issues and his penchant for irrational thought accompanied by very poor execution of oratory (for expressing his points of view).
Libertarianism
As you know Mr. Ron Paul is a Libertarian. If you are reading this treatise you know of libertarians and you may even subscribe to the school of political/social thought. A core principle for Libertarians is ‘small federal government’ and ‘States Rights’. We are fortunate to live in the greatest nation on Earth. We are 330 plus million people who are dispersed among 50 states. Despite the obvious mishandling of our nation’s budgets, finances, and the overall economy, there has to be a central body that serves as a central governing body the good of the nation. If properly managed effectively by presidents from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush (with democrats in between) this nation would be in far better economy condition. {details available if interested}. Now, imagine our country with a very de-centralized governing bodies trying to work together for the common good of the nation. It would not happen. Imagine ‘States Rights”! One state wants to do something in one way, and another wants it another, and then others want it with additional differences? Oh, factor-in a weak centralized governing body at the federal level trying to mediate that mess: futility. It would not happen. One example, imagine allowing the States to handle issues associated with dismantling Jim Crowe Laws and facilitating voting rights for all citizens regardless of race or gender. Teh federal government, under Lyndon B. Johnson, forced the Southern states to comply with his desire to provide fair and equitable voting rights for all. Additionally, we currently have a political party working to suppress voter’s rights: the GOP. There is no way “States Right’s as a doctrine can work. “States Rights” is central to Libertarianism. Ron Paul is a Libertarian.
Odd Cognitive Processes
How can anyone consider themselves a viable candidate for president of the United States when they speak in the following vernacular?
* Legalize Heroin (allowing with Marijuana). While I feel that decriminalizing certain levels of ‘pot’ can help to alleviate or courts systems, I dread the thought of complete legalization of Heroin. The mind altering (and in one case addictive) substances are not the central issue. The central issue is Mr. Ron Paul’s thought process that would lead him “go there”‘.
* As previously stated via my links above the business of dismantling FEMA is outside the scope of reality. Ron Paul has added the Environmental Proection Agency to his list of “can do withouts”. I will ask you to again, imagine. Imagine, a world in which companies are allowed to pollute as they wish, with no regard for you and me as people, no regard for our children, no regard for our health and no regard for the environment in which we live? Do you really think that the majority of companies will do the ‘right thing’ in all cases? I personally do not think all companies will comply with their social and environmental responsibilities.
* Regardless of how we feel about healthcare reform, we should recognize that there are people in our nation that are suffering without opportunity to seek medical care. Opposition to healthcare goes beyond the borders of people who are against healthcare reform (and specifically the Affordable Healthcare Act), many libertarians have problems with Social Security and Medicare.
We cannot afford to have a president who has any designs on dismantling either program and we should be cautious about any elected official who wants to dismantle medicare as we know it. The people who are making the decisions (On entitlement programs) are, for the most part, wealthy people; they do not need the benefits as they grow older.
Mental Acuity Leading to Communication
I have watched Mr. Ron Paul for many years. I have watched as Paul, as is the case with each of us, has diminished a bit in mental sharpness. How could it be so easy to ‘tangle’ him-up into long rambling answers to questions? Wolf Blitzer’s question about the hypothetical 30 years who refused to purchase medical care via his job, should have garnered a quick and decisive response. “Would you let him die?” Paul, “No, but…..”
Instead Ron Paul spoke for three minutes and had to be asked the question again to secure a quick perfunctory ‘no’ with an answer that pleased the GOP audience. The “no’ did not please the crowd, but Paul’s answer surely pleased the crowed. The question related to ‘death’, not pain and suffering, death.
As posted in the link above, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked Paul about his racial slurs in a campaign newsletter. The answer given by Paul was without doubt akin to, being caught with one’s hand where it should not be (IN THE COOKIE JAR). He could not provide a cogent answer to a serious question. So he ends the interview with a Pre-Donald Trump remark (in 2007) about, ‘the blacks’. (Paraphrasing) ” …….I have had some campaign staff turnover and some of it may have been placed there…….some political trickery that might have contributed. …” why…”because I am doing well in surveys with “the ‘blacks”. Where is the mindset of that sort of thinking and speaking. Pre-Paul and Trump, I recall reading about such in the old south as plantation owners looked out across their slave filled fields. Or, I read such as I read about how certain pioneers to the West who felt the “got along well with the, INJUNS”. A president of the United States of America really should be better equipped (mentally) to deal with the fact that his or her nation is not that of one race of people. Moreover, the president should be able to use his mind to deliver language that better fits a world of ‘tolerance’. How hard would it have been to use the words, “…doing well in surveys and doing well with black people, or African – Americans’?
I have listed a few examples of why I truly feel that Ron Paul is not only not a viable presidential candidate, I think he is a danger to segments of a free society.
It is important to understand that we live if fragile times. While many do not like to hear it, we cannot afford the same or worse mistake than those of the Bush Years. Our current president is continuing to combat issues left from the last administration. Data related to the economy and his efforts to turn things around will bare out my assertion. And, it is clear that the opposition party in Washington D.C. is following a strategy of ‘ non-cooperation” for political gain. How can we afford to turn the administration back to someone like Ron Paul who at times exhibits confusion, hidden intolerance of people and one who wants to dismantle our proven federal system of government. That system has it problems, but turning the nation over to the States, would be a humongous mistake from which we could never return.
One last point. We have a conservative Supreme Court. Do you think it wise to further drive the SCOTUS to another level of conservatism with a trace of Libertarian in the mix?
In fairness, I do appreciate Pauls disdain for anything militaristic.

The author of this pathetic article is obviously scared. Because yes, Pardu, Ron Paul will win 2012 (and beat Obama). Get ready for it. 🙂
“The Pardu” says in the article above
“I recall reading about such in the old south as plantation owners looked out across their slave filled fields. Or, I read such as I read about how certain pioneers to the West who felt the “got along well with the, INJUNS”.”
You made my point about “invoking slavery”, and it hasn’t been “just since Obama in 2009”. It is okay for “some people” to speak openly and frank without persecution, but just not the “other” “some people”. It is that hypocrisy that is very hard for someone to admit to.
As far as “If you truly support Ron Paul, do a better job of explaining rationally his positions versus those of the author.” How do you rationalize freedom? How do you rationalize individually? How do you rationalize personal responsibility? How do you rationalize fairness in law and respect to all people evenly? How do you rationalize obeying the constitution? I can go point by point, line by line, but those are fundamentals, if you don’t know that… look, I can give you the fish, or you can learn to fish. The info is out there; just do a more informed and less skewed piece next time. That is all I’m saying. Everyone who is commenting on this sees what you are doing. And you can twist my words around and try to invoke hate and guilt but I don’t care, you will do what you think is right. Bless you for that. I think I know where this leads though and a pain or hate filled heart is difficult to convince.
Sure, everyone makes slights and errors towards others for whatever reason the individual “feels” offended them, I am sure many can make that claim against “the author” just the same. But I mean no offense, I only want what anyone would want, a sane and free world to live in. I apologize if you felt offended by my retort, I just “went there” because you “went there” and all things being “equal” you helped prove my point. So thank you.
I supported Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente and also Ron Paul in 2008 (gave money, rallies, gave out flyers and info, ect.), I didn’t vote out of protest against the “chosen” candidates (same bad taste just now in assorted colors!). I will be voting for Ron Paul this time around.
Quoting comedians is laughable… get it? Ha! Peace be with you my friend. Lighten up a bit.
I agree with Dr. Paul and I agree with all the comments for Dr. Paul (99% of the comments for Dr. Paul). This is a hit piece article and is skewed and twisted, full of hate and rage. Really you should be happy that there is a man running for president that would free the non violent political prisoners and promote an american industrial revolution where your opinion is heard locally and your vote counts toward issues that directly affect your neighborhood, schools, public works, and environment. Where there will be many more social systems able to be established and better funded locally than from the federal government which doesn’t hear, see or address your local issues very well. There would be more jobs for people in a community rather than let politicians thousands of miles away decide where the tax dollars go. Big corporations would rather pay off the the top of the pyramid so the laws and money are allocated the way they want and who doesn’t get the money? Your neighborhood.
The only thing that is black and white is the ballot at the box now go out and vote for Ron Paul in 2012. Cain is from the eye of the pyramid, former chairman of the Federal Reserve who is being paid for by Goldman Sachs and Stanley Morgan who by which are some of the groups who own the Federal Reserve. The FED is not a federal agency but a private central bank. If you vote for Obama or Cain you will be very sorry you did once they draft someone you love to go into Iran with a gun before they can legally vote. See what the other people who made comments think? Everyone is for Ron Paul no matter how many slanted, twisted MSM and internet articles they put out. Keep it up you are helping people realize this!
You are a truly ignorant person; ignorance of worst kind. First, you obviously do not under the basic tenements of what Libertarianism encompasses. Second, Dr. Paul is the true champion of civil rights and supports true civil rights for all citizens. Lastly, you logic is flawed for many of the arguments you make and are based on false assumptions. Please add Ayn Rand to your reading list sir.
The author of this article writes it to get views. I know that’s a compliment…to call the person who created this drivel an “author” but hey…
I would write a point by point critique of what was spewed from the fingers of the author, but there really isn’t any need. The words in this article could neither inspire nor sway anyone to believe or disbelieve anything short of realizing that they need better journalism educating…badly.
Actually, Libertarianism is a branch of economic thought from which social and political principles necessarily fall. You apologize for the country’s mishandling of finances as if it were even possible that government could, or has the knowledge to allocate efficiently the country’s resources at any given time. You make the gross assertion that we require government, that it has somehow always been the benevolent servant to the people, that it has effected the most efficient resource allocation while obtaining the highest level of altruistic distribution possible. When, and under what circumstances has this ever occurred? That somehow everything we have, we owe to the state.
Come on! A “mishandling of finances”, as you call it, or the outright coercive theft of private property subsequently distributed strictly on relative notions of fairness governed by perverse incentives and fiscal illusion, (as the rest of us see it), is a predictable result of classic Keynesian economics. There is no social welfare function! Even Samuelson admitted that. The government cannot know the preferences of people such that it can provide for everybody, everywhere, everything, all the time. $15T in debt, a Federal Reserve that buys out 30 year treasuries as fast as Geitner can issue them, to keep people in jobs to produce stuff that nobody wants while subsequent price inflation erodes the real income of middle class America is, putting it mildly, unsustainable. How arrogant you are, therefore, to summon Paul and appraise him against the same mythical dogma that has brought the country to the brink of social and economic chaos.
You mock Paul’s criticism of the EPA without understanding how the EPA was established. At one time, property rights protected the environment where a single individual, at no cost could invoke an injunction against an entire industry if it was found that the actions of that industry were adversely affecting persons and/or their property. But, the Federal government legislated those rights away for the Public Interest (where the benefits to the many outweighed the costs to the few). So, the takings clause to the Fifth Amendment, that which was enshrined to protect the individual, is now essentially meaningless and it is this that is the source of your environmental derision, not Ron Paul. Finally, Paul’s answer to Blitzer’s loaded “live or die” question hurled at him warrants more than just “a quick and decisive response”, as you assert.
For Paul, the obvious answer was/is, of course, NO! But!, this is a meaningless conclusion. There is a much larger issue at stake. That is, do you Staff mean to say that since the answer is indeed No!, that we should therefore provide free healthcare to any and all and that such healthcare be provided for regardless of quantity and cost and by whom that cost is shouldered? The bigger issue is not whether the dieing man ought to be saved. Rather, the bigger issue is why the insurance costs so much that it prohibits the young man from purchasing it in the first place? In a competitive market where healthcare is priced like any other good or service and not regulated and protected as it is now, the cost for the provision of healthcare would fall and with it, the associated insurance policy.
In other words, why does healthcare cost so much so as to discourage people from making the rational and logical choice? This is the essence of Paul’s argument, and not, as you would have us believe, the ranting and raving of some heartless bastard.
To close, you appeal to some data set that supports your assertion that the current Administration’s attempt to “turn things around” is somehow justified. We are left wondering what that data set might comprise. Unfortunately for us, the only data set that we see is chronic unemployment, a President that has spent more money than all Administrations before him, and a debt measure that in no uncertain terms calls for the very spending cuts that Paul prescribes.
So, do the readership of this forum a favor. Do some homework before you take to petty character assassinations that one would expect from only the uninformed. We deserve better.
I’d rather be kidnapped than read this crap

And there in lies my real fear with his possible (although not very likely) ascension to the Presidency. It is just like a great comedian once said, “who you gonna believe me, or your lying eyes”. I speak what I see and how I see it. Now, look up . I see a reference to slavery. Why the affinity for the slavery characterization and analogy since President Obama took office. It was just not widely used an an analogy prior to 2009.
this is an odd article.
1) Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate addressing the inequity between Higher and Lower socio-economic individuals effected by the current prison industry. this is one of the largest problems facing minorities in america and Dr. Paul is he only candidate running who even talks about this problem. and u think he’s a dangrous racist.
2) 48% of affrican american babies are aborted in the USA today. Dr. Paul is the only staunchly pro-life candidate who would end federal funding for orginizations like planned parenthood, which is a strong contributing factor to 48%(!!!) of black babies being aborted. And u think he’s a dangrous racist.
3) it’s widely accepted that Blacks are effected by poverty more than any other race in america. Dr. Paul is the only candidtate who want to address economic policy that increases prices, which harms those in poverty because they have no money to begin with. And u think he’s a dangrous racist.
I believe the author of this article, like all progressives, is the actual dangrous racist. articles like these are dangrous in themselves because they promote hate, and ignorance for the real blights on Black Scocity.
Excuse me…
I was under the impression that this was a conservative outlet. I have read a dozen or so articles here and for the most part the authors would offer up a well reasoned, balanced, constructive viewpoint that, agree or disagree I had to respect! Now it is apparent to me that that “thyblackman” has allowed itself to be hijacked by “The Pardu”, a progressive blogger incapable of producing the level of material I had grown accustomed to seeing here. I am truly disappointed. thyblackman had become a bit of a breath of fresh air for me, a pleasant break from all of the other “news outlets” and bloggers.
I voted for that piece of crap and regretted it within two months just as YOU should have with his No Strings bailout of his friends. The fact that there are people like you trying to hype for him by attacking Paul makes me sick.
Here’s your precious at work on YOU – http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/25/taxpayer-assets-vulture-funds_n_937063html
Your Corporate Sellout warmonger obama is now biching to go to war on Iran so we can give even more trillions to bogus ‘defense’ Corporations AND trillions to the surveillance state going in HERE. 8 TRILLION in bogus ‘security’ in just the last eight years. You are being surrounded, but too busy with your worries about handouts to notice.
You are selling Out black people with your bogus BS. Trust in people Not the government or WE ALL will pay the price.
Ron Paul for the People in 2012.
Ron Paul is not “white”, he is transparent! That is something no candidate can claim. All humankind is created equal, and Ron Paul believes that more than most because he understands WHY this nation is great. He understands “individual liberty” and knows you do not have liberty in groups. Libertarian ideas are difficult to understand for those that require the need to be coddled and are fearful of the danger freedom brings. We were once known as the “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”, and although “freedom” may have not been evenly distributed at first for debatable reasons and varied degrees of support to full realization of the intent and purpose of our founding, we have always been brave. From the Marine to the slave, we have always been brave. From sea to mountain top, we have always been brave.
Now look at us, at this moment in history, the time all history has been waiting for and all history to come will fall back on as “the time”, and we Americans sit in utter fear. Fear of terror, fear of police, fear of your neighbor, fear of losing your job, fear of Republicans, fear of Democrats, fear of Tea Party or Occupy Wall St. or any protesting, fear of conspiracy, fear of reality, fear white, fear of black, fear to call people by color or origin descriptions, fear of not being “politically correct”, fear of liberty and speaking out, fear of being “different” in whatever way pertains to you. You see, the great hidden in-our-face secret about our beautiful great nation here is that we have established a flag of freedom on this speck of dust we call Earth, that freedom, as stated, is “We The People… Are Created Equal and endowed by our creator (or by chance of sentience) with certain inalienable (we posses, individually) rights, and among them are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness..”
You see, if you REALLY believe that, then you can not rule out every person on this Earth either (most people don’t understand this is America’s true foreign policy and our greatest export). That is our legacy and our destiny. We started it here, and are still working on it, but it is for the whole world to share. That is why tyrants and robber barons have hated and schemed against us from the time since our nation was born and poisoned the divided the American people’s minds against one another. It has never changed and never will; “ever vigilant” actually means something. Ron Paul understands where we are in history, he understands our history, and he sees what has been wrong and what has been right about America. Just because “States” have their rights does not mean it will go back to the “bad ol’ days” of inequality in this nation, there is still plenty of room for improvement on a multitude of sides, but that ol’ship has sailed. As long as the states stay within the constitution and within the bill of rights then each state is an “experiment” and the whole is a lesson for the world to understand how to live free together and not be in anarchy.
Ron Paul represents that first step back to our destiny to be an example to the world of what is right with humanity and enlighten all. He won’t solve everything, and those that support him know this. Ron Paul being in office will allow the public to understand they are the ones with sovereignty, not the government! The government can not give you rights, as Ron Paul would say, you already have them. This is your nation, this is my nation and this is our nation. Ron Paul knows this. You think any other Republican or Democrat would do more for equality? Criticizing him on not perfectly speaking every single time you catch a clip of him on the web or on TV or (as many have said) that he doesn’t “look right” is preposterous at best, ironic at worst. Sure, go ahead and listen to the silver toughed slick looking guy that tells you everything you want to hear and “looks right” but then turns out to be just the house slave telling you to stay on the burning plantation.
Invoking images of those types of things such as you did to disparage Ron Paul is beneath a person of intelligence, so I make no apologies in providing an example of my own in the same tone. At least I can thank you for providing the platform to allow me to present my opinion on this matter. Be well, God Bless, live free. ~ Mythic Mystic (A white, male, American also known as “Satan” to the rest of the world. How is that for being hated?) We use to be brave.
Nothing but pure garbage.
Ron Paul’s going all the way to the whitehouse in 2012!
Ron Paul’s logic is perfect. He does not support the use of hard drugs. He supports LIBERTY. That is all he is trying to get across. No person has the right to tell another person what they can and cannot put into their body.
And besides, the war on drugs doesn’t work. Maybe you noticed a little problem down Mexico way. That whole issue would disappear immediately if the USA would just get rid of all the prohbition on drugs.
Liberty baby! Constitution… Ron Paul!
All of our protections are rooted in the constitution. We are in the process of loosing our constitution and thus losing all of our protections. It may attractive to ignore the constitution in the short term because it stands in the way of the latest “program.” But in the long term maintaining the constitution is the best way to preserve freedoms and prosperity.
I will vote for Ron Paul because understands and protects the constitution.
Written by a true ignorant and uneducated fool. Thanks for helping me to decide to vote for Ron Paul definitely. Get a brain, writer.
The danger! is if Ron Paul is not elected. The runaway deficits and imperialism will destroy this country.
This site ought to invest in some new “staff”.
The Meme (picture of Dr. Ron Paul) you have posted, clearly shows you have an adolescent mind.
Ron Paul 2012!
Listen, it boils down to this: agree or disagree with Ron Paul, if you DON’T vote for him, your children and grandchildren will be born slaves to the criminal bankster empire in the one-world government.
Because ALL the other candidates are bought and paid for; we all know this to be true.
So instead of picking the “lesser evil”, shouldn’t we all seize this momentous historical opportunity to vote for “NO evil”?
Free America Now.
Bring our Troops Home. End the Fed.
Then we’ll see what’s what.
Dear “Staff,”
Please go back to your history courses and reread all US History books to find out where our nation came from and what our history is, and review the reasons of the founders and they debates they held regarding proper government. Read some of David McCullough’s books on past presidents, the federalist papers and discussions, the articles of confederation (and by extension, our US Constitution), and then start looking at where America started diverging form these principles in the 1910’s …
Then write an article that ISN’T based on dribble and misinformation. You show little comprehension of Ron Paul’s libertarian ideals, and exhibit a disdain few would take pride in for principles of freedom, prosperity through equal opportunity, and the rights of the individual. It seems to me that you advocate government-managed theft (taxes on income and private property) and redistribution (subsidies and contract benefits), no? The government does NOT own us, nor does it deserve miraculous credit for “creating and sustaining a positive work environment.” And they mismanage EVERYTHING. Learned that hard lesson yet? Because the rest of us have been aware for a while.
Who thinks their State would legalize heroin? Sound Off.
Wow.. amazing!
J.D. Atkins… do you realize that having BA, MA, Ph.D doesn’t matter these days? I wonder if this is your best defense to open with the credentials to prove that you’ve got an education or to validate your comments? Honestly, those things doesn’t mean anything to me, because back in the day, white people with BA, MA and Ph. D. actually have been oppressing black people. Now, people in general, are not really honoring the degrees that they have earned, so skip that crap. “Just a bit about me before I let lose, I am an African American in his twenties, I have a Masters degree in Computer Science, and I am currently working and resident in Sweden. Despite what you may think..I have hassled to get to where I am…things haven’t always been easy.”
It feels to me as though that the history repeats itself based on human behavior:
When something “new” or “honest” comes out, they’re at first aimed to be shot down, misinformed and so on. For example, FBI, that we, are supposedly, in awe of, was the same
department that had written up misinformed information on Martin Luther King, when he was fighting for our liberty, and our rights. So imagine the media, CNN, you (with Masters degree), Huffingtonpost have been spewing negative information about Ron Paul just to get people, who know little or nothing about Ron Paul to quickly believe you. Look what happened to John F. Kennedy? Look what happened to Malcolm X? Look what happened to Muhammand Ali when he stood his ground and say he refused to go to war, since he had nothing against Vietnam and they haven’t done anything against USA!!!
Just so you know, I’m African American, and I have BA Degree, also have a License in Massage Therapy… but does that mean anything.. hell no. What is really important to me is that I still have my liberty, my freedom, and my rights. I want those to be protected by the US Constitution.
Because without these, what would credentials mean? Hmm…??
From African-American to African-American (if that’s true), wake up. People here aren’t stupid, and obviously you were wishing that we are.
Let me begin by saying that I voted for Obama in the last election. I believed he was going to bring about change. While I am still happy to have elected the first black president, and I am happy that Bush is out of office, I do not agree with what Obama has done to this country. He has started more wars than Bush and seems to be in the pockets of the big bankers. I am disappointed. Because of this, I’ve paid close attention to the policies of all the candidates running this time around.
After much research I have come to the conclusion that Ron Paul is the best candidate for the African American people and for the country. By ending the drug war he would prevent thousands of us from going to jail. By ending the oversea wars he would prevent thousands of black soldiers from dying needlessly. By closing down worthless government bureaucracies he would save our country from debt and restore the value of the dollar. He does not give in to corporate lobbyists and will not sell out.
I have watched Ron Paul campaign, listened to him during debates and tv interviews and I believe he is the most honest, least corrupted candidate out there. Articles like the one you wrote above are doing a disservice to our people. We need to look beyond what politicians say just to get votes and pay attention to their actions. Ron Paul is the real deal.
As a black woman, I am proud to say that Ron Paul has my vote for president and I will be sharing this information with my family and friends.
The following remarks are not affixed to anyone respondent. If people cannot state their opinions we are in a tizzy of a nation.
My remarks about Ron Paul have nothing to do with him as a person. I take great exception to his beliefs regarding government, aid to people who legitimately need it and to his poor use of language when it is critical to get it perfect. It is virtually impossible to argue the points in the video with Blitzer. He rambles through an answer about his newsletter that was completely incoherent. He also rambled though the answer on the debate stage.
His comments about legalization controlled substances? How presidential is that? The article relates to his potential president. I would not want to live in a world of completely legalized heroin. I must assume that those who have taken exception to this person’s opinion would find such palatable.
Bigotry? Look-up the word and realize that I carefully avoided the word racist as I did not believe he is such.
Now, for those who would argue in favor of states right’s. How was that phrases used in the 1960s as people were denied access to freedoms based on skin color. It means that each state will do as it pleases and that, in and of itself, is dangerous for the good of a sovereign nation.
No FEMA. NO EPA… how about shutting down a few military bases and bringing home a few hundred thousand troops? No one likes FEMA until that catastrophe hits and The Right hates the EPA (AND FOR WHAT?)
So, comment aside, I find Paul a man of conviction but his convictions differ form mine and we all have a right to speak about our opinions. You are doing same. But, it is hard to argue with the videos.
Opinions only, folks. If people cannot respect a persons right to disagree, then the nation is lost.
BTW, I do respect Paul’s comment regarding militarism (for the second time) But I have to take his videos and comment as I see and read them. All I have to go by.
I wish Ron Paul supporters were as articulate as Ron Paul. Please refine your comments to an intelligent response.
If you truly support Ron Paul, do a better job of explaining rationally his positions versus those of the author.
I’d like to hear what your opinion will be in about 5 years. See where it is oriented at that time. May be fun for the readers of this article to compare it with today’s.
You must be getting worried to spend this much time to trash one candidate. Your message on the EPA is actually quite wrong. Ron Paul’s main message is that it’s not the Federal Governments job to perform many of the functions that it currently performs. The states should be in charge of managing public resources, not the Federal government. Goverment operates much more efficiently when the function is performed on a local level. Furthermore, you’ve brought up the same slanderous article about racism. This item has been addressed so many times in the past. Your refusal to ackowlege Paul’s defense on the matter is your choice.
What is your true agenda here? For hundreds of years black men and women in this country have fought for their freedom. Yet in the last ten years our freedoms and liberties have been taken away from all Americans. Whose taken these freedoms? Democrats and Republicans. I would think that the black men and women in this country would be especially taken back by the loss of these liberties.
What about Ron Paul’s stance on the Drug War. Many studies have shown how this drug war disproportionately affects the minorities in this country. Ron Paul isn’t advocating for the use of heroin. He’s acknowledging that the drug war is a failure, it’s a waste of money, and it’s a tool used to circumvent people’s liberties. Every person that has been convicted of a felony in this country no longer has the right to vote. Minorities representation in government has been disproportionately taken away by the ongoing drug war.
As for Social Security and Medicare. Ron Paul has turned in a budget that has cut 1 trillion dollars in one year. He’s done this while keeping intact Social Security and Medicare. Let me tell you something, if we don’t get our budget under control immediately, then there won’t be any social programs left. You can stick your head in the sand if you want to, but this country is growing more broke by the day.
It’s time that you and your readers begin looking at the situation as it is. Will budget cuts be painful? Most certainly. Will not getting our financial house in order be painful? It will rip this country apart?
Ron Paul supports the people’s personal liberty. As in all American citizens. What can possibly be bigoted about that? It is time for a real change! I personally do not support every stance he takes, but Congressman Paul is the cream of the crop as far as I am concerned.
It takes an open mind to agree with Dr. Paul, which this guy does not have.
Terrible article, or as it should be labelled, completely uneducated opinion based ranting.. Oh and isnt that nice, the author decided not to put his/her name down and simply put the author as Staff.. how convenient..
Wow, J.D Atkins above wrote a better article than this poor excuse of writing. It would be really great if some of these so called writers would actually educated themselves before they spue such garbage. Ron Paul 2012!!!
Dr. King, in his Beyond Vietnam speech recognized that “A time comes when silence is betrayal” and “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today (is) my own government.” Good stuff, stuff the chicken-shits in Washington wouldn’t dare put on his memorial. Very little has changed today. The US government (I will sully myself by calling it mine) has no shame in killing others. So far as I can tell, Ron Paul is THE leading voice of sanity in the asylum. I do believe that Dr. King would agree that Ron Paul is the one truly deserving of a Peace Prize, not some war-monger like Obama.
So, Andy, I suppose that this puts you firmly on the side of the murders.
Will you quit it with the bigot stuff? That was shot down as soon as it was invented.Louisiana tried to stop B.P. from spraying over two million gallons of corexit in the Gulf of Mexico and the E.P.A.ignored their pleas for sanity.I know Florida would not allow corporations to pollute the land as evidenced by the voters past record.Have the E.P.A.done anything to stop the destruction of our wetlands/fishing estuaries? Not in my lifetime and I am 42.By the way I am native American and so are a lot of my friends. We do not mind one bit being called Injuns,in fact we address one another as such.Get with the times.
I see a double standard here. If a white man posted this article on Cain or any other person who doesn’t share their color, they are “bigots.” The fact of the matter is white people are far from bigots. Youtube Black Panthers…they are calling for extermination of all whites, and killing white crackers, and killing white babies. They stopped whites from voting in the 2008 elections and they are racist. It is odd that they want “reperations” because their ancestors were slaves, but the white people sacraficed 400,000 lives freeing them. Also, if you are still hateing on whites because of the mistakes they made over a hundred years ago you have a flaw in your logic because any person living right now are not responsible for that history and no one is alive from that point in time. Also, the freed black slaves took to the slave trade, and they owned a majority of them in Louisiana prior to the civil war. Please, do your research, all men are flawed and every race has its evils. Grow up will ya, and stop dividing this country.
Actually …. in my opinion, this article is a fine example of thyblackman bigotry.
Hi all,
Just a bit about me before I let lose, I am an African American in his twenties, I have a Masters degree in Computer Science, and I am currently working and resident in Sweden. Despite what you may think..I have hassled to get to where I am…things haven’t always been easy.
That said I really love my country and wouldn’t want it slipping down a path of ‘mediacracy’ sponsored ‘tyranny’. I stopped to ask myself why some one so strongly supported with my cash..and so much time has backtracked on every single thing he promised from the troops to bailing out his chief cooperate sponsors on wall street, getting involved in un constitutional war (like in Libya,Uganda,C.Africa,Pakistan and what not), which has had such a negative impact on our economy, so much so that I now have to send money back home to my mum, baby sister and two brothers to help them get by. Well I shouldn’t have expected much from Obeezy being a lawyer and all. I surely can’t stand for more of the same not after Bush, now the disappoint that is the President, I mean we can’t keep living on yes we can.. something real has to manifest, he had two years with a full congressional majority and did nothing positive with it ..except spend 700 Billion+ 400B of your tax money parcelling it out to his croonies. why should the next few years be any different..well for me Obama is the promise that never was..after all the smoke and mirrors..its plain to see, he doesn’t have your interests at heart and personally I feel as people of color this has been our greatest weakness.. just coz the guy is black doesn’t make him a better president, the same can be said for Herman Cain, with all due respect I have much admiration for him he has really climbed up that leader, from CEO of God father Pizza,to Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank..he’s also a fellow computer scientist. But all one has to look carefully at is what to these people stand for? Does his past record show one who stands by his principles regardless of if its popular, but if its right? Has be been the engaging, selfless person who loves and helps the community like his campaign rhetoric claims?
To me its all lies..I personally make sure to carefully check on the facts behind someones opinions views and what they stand for.
If anything I don’t fully agree with all the things Ron Paul stands for but one thing you can not blame him of his being dishonest, if there was any more honest and principled politician who consistently and knowledgeably speaks the truth..its Ron Paul
And for that he has my confidence..for the fast time I watch videos of a politician not speaking empty “enchanting” oratory but rather actual factual truths that can get out great Nation back on its feet..
Just in case you should check this out to ratify and correct your flawed views on Dr. Ron Paul..its always good to have an open mind, check the facts and not have preconceived notions about someone with who you disagree.
This what you get when you vote for more of the same. It’s a shame. However we have an opportunity to save this Great Republic, if you love your Nation at least run your eyes through the text below.
Have Americans read Dr. Ron Paul’s written plan for the country?
Are Americans ready to upset the apple cart in a controlled and methodical way for the betterment of the greater good?
The main source I am referencing here is Dr. Ron Paul’s website, so that we can debate his priorities and proposed approaches.
I have paraphrased items from his site; however, I encourage the reader to thoroughly review all the links.
Here is Dr. Ron Paul’s 11-point plan:
11. Energy Independence:
Eliminate the federal gas tax of $0.18 per gallon and eliminate the EPA, allowing prosecution of polluters to answer to citizens, not Washington, and allowing coal, oil, nuclear and other forms of energy to be safely explored.
10. Education:
Dr. Paul would like to see the U.S. Department of Education return its powers to the states and parents. He proposes and intends to give parents a $5,000 tax credit per child for kids K-12 to help with all the costs of education. He is supportive of home-schooling and will veto legislation that interferes with parents choosing to home-school their children.
9. Workers’ Rights:
Dr. Ron Paul is against forcing workers to join unions and pay dues if they do not want to, citing the $8 billion that union leaders bring in annually that is often given to political candidates. He does not want workers forced to belong to unions or to be under union control against their will.
8. Protect Gun Rights:
Protecting the right of Americans to keep and bear arms. Here is an example of atown that required each head of household to own a gun. This policy resulted in decreased crime.
7. Heath Care:
Dr. Ron Paul will repeal Obamacare, allow for tax credits and deductions for all medical expenses and not allow money that belongs in Medicare or Medicaid to be misused for other purposes. He will protect the privacy of American citizens’ medical records from the federal government, remove barriers for all citizens to have HSAs and keep the FDA out of vitamins and alternative treatments. Also, he wants to provide payroll deductions for terminal illnesses and caregivers.
6. Pro-Life Issue:
Here is the one fact all Americans need to know. Dr. Paul is the only Republican candidate who has said, “So while Roe v. Wade is invalid, a federal law banning abortion across all 50 states would be equally invalid.”
Abortion is one of the most divisive issues and may always be a divisive issue as long as Americans have freedom of religion and the right to be, think and feel differently. Dr. Ron Paul may be personally pro-life; however, his voting record indicates that, even if a bill attempting to make abortion illegal federally in the U.S. were passed by the House and Senate, Dr. Paul would veto the bill as unconstitutional. Which other Republican candidate has a track record to indicate that? Would Dr. Paul look to put pro-life judges on the Supreme Court bench? Probably as much as past Republican presidents.
The current Democratic President has recently placed two women on the Supreme Court, and new Justices are appointed only when a Justice dies or retires. Six Republican Presidential candidates have already signed the Susan B. Anthony List 2012. Dr. Ron Paul is the safest Republican candidate because he would veto anti-abortion bills at the federal level and support states that chose to protect women’s reproductive rights.
His other strong Constitution-based reforms outweigh the small risk that Roe v. Wade would be overturned during his term, returning the power to the states, who can then protect women’s reproductive rights, as Vermont has. Would he truly respect the states’ rights on this, considering his strong personal stand? Many progressive states have anti-abortion laws on their books that are not enforceable due to Roe v. Wade. So far, Dr. Paul has written bills to make it possible for states to make abortion illegal in the Sanctity of Life bill.
He wrote the We the People Act, which, if passed, would render Roe v. Wade invalid and return powers to the states. He signed the Susan B. Anthony list, which describes federally defunding all abortions and Planned Parenthood.
If Dr. Paul can fix the economic mess, is the slight chance that Roe v. Wade would be rendered invalid something Americans are willing risk for the betterment of the country in many other important areas? We will not ever go back to a time before birth control, morning-after pills,RU 486, the Internet and other advancements. Certain states, even with Roe v. Wade, are extremely restrictive.
5. Immigration:
In Dr. Paul’s own words:Immigration reform should start with improving our border protection, yet it was reported last week that the federal government has approved the recruitment of 120 of our best trained Border Patrol agents to go to Iraq to train Iraqis how to better defend their borders! This comes at a time when the National Guard troops participating in Operation Jump Start are being removed from border protection duties in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas and preparing to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan! It is an outrage and it will result in our borders being more vulnerable to illegal entry, including by terrorists. Also, we need to take serious steps to prevent terrorists from gaining easy access to targets on our soil.
Quite alarmingly, even with the knowledge that the 19 terrorist hijackers entered our country legally, and that 15 of them were from Saudi Arabia , student visas from terrorist sponsoring countries are still far too easily obtained. In a baffling move President Bush struck a deal with Saudi King Abdullah in 2005 to allow 21,000 more Saudi young men into the US on student Visas.
Of course, not all students from terror sponsoring countries are terrorists, but I place a higher premium on the security of the American people than the convenience of citizens of hostile countries. We should not be making the goals of would-be terrorists easier to accomplish, but rather should be vigilant about defending against enemies at every turn. They should not be slipping through our doors so easily, using our immigration laws against us, and that is why I proposed the Terror Immigration Elimination Act (HR 3217) to toughen standards for VISAS from countries on the State Department’s list of terrorist sponsoring countries in addition to Saudi Arabia .
Just as you decide who to invite to a dinner party in your home, we should be in charge of who we allow in this country, without apology. Also:Both the Bush administration and congressional leadership have promised to spend the next two months addressing national security issues. But real national security cannot be achieved unless and until our borders are physically secured. It’s as simple as that. All the talk about fighting terror and making America safer is meaningless without border security.
It makes no sense to seek terrorists abroad if our own front door is left unlocked. In short, Dr. Paul’s plan is to secure the border, end amnesty, abolish welfare to illegal immigrants, end birthright citizenship and protect lawful immigrants.
4. National Defense:
Dr. Paul’s approach is simple. He believes in a strong national defense and is against militarism —
In other words, protect the U.S. but do not police the world and require congressional approval before declaring war. The last time the U.S. formally declared war was World War II in 1941. Dr. Paul would bring the troops home to protect America. Dr. Paul said he would get the troops home as soon as the ships would get here. He is the largest recipient of donations from soldiers in the U.S. military, getting 71 percent of all military donations.
3. Taxes:
Dr. Paul would support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that abolishes income and death taxes. Ideally, he’d like to close the IRS. He would seek to repeal capital gains taxes and reduce then abolish taxes on Social Security. Before a flat or fair tax would be implemented, Dr. Paul would ensure that the 16th Amendment, which made income taxation legal, would be repealed so we don’t end up with both.
2. End the Fed:
The Fed was created in a time of turmoil and seems similar to the Patriot Act in that it was done from a position of hysteria, not logical and rational decision-making. The U.S. Constitution is considered such a well thought-through document as it was drafted in a time of peace rather than as a reaction to a panic. Documents and policies that are reviewed and seen in the light of day by calm, rational people tend to be better for the long-term wellness of the people than policies passed quickly in an emotional, reactive and hurried manner.
Dr. Paul equates the Fed with deeply-in-debt parents sending their teenagers out with credit cards and blank checks. Dr. Paul’s ultimate goal would be to see the Fed end, yet he would not act rashly. What his focus would be is a full and complete audit of the Fed, as Congress is currently unable to audit the Fed.
Dr. Paul would commit to passing legislation that requires transparency and accountability from the Fed. At this time, the Fed can keep secret to whom they are lending trillions of taxpayers’ dollars. If the Fed is handling American money responsibly, for what reason would they refuse to open their books?
We American citizens are all subject to audits from the IRS, but the U.S. central bank is not? Please take three minutes to watch this amazing video of Bernie Sanders asking Ben Bernanke, where $2.2 trillion of taxpayer money is. Bernanke will not answer the question and will not disclose where $2.2 trillion went, and he doesn’t have to.
1. Economy:
Dr. Paul’s plan is to audit the Fed, veto any unbalanced budget and refuse to raise the debt ceiling. He is also committed to getting rid of self-dealing and corruption in D.C. Additionally, he will eliminate income taxes, capital gains taxes and death taxes.
It would be a breath of fresh air to have the Fed audited and wasteful government spending eliminated, and to actually be able to keep more of the money we make. America’s debt did not come out of nowhere.
In 2008, the U.S. had spent $3 trillion on the war in Iraq. The current costs are at $3.2 to $4 trillion. How much did we vote to increase the debt ceiling? We raised the $14.3-trillion debt ceiling by $2.4 trillion, to $16.7 trillion on Aug. 2, 2011.
Here is agreat 10-minute video with Dr. Paul clearly stating how, if elected president in 2012, he would balance the budget in one year.In this discussion, I request that emotional reactions and sarcasm be set aside.
The goal is an accurate, clear and truthful dialogue. We are blessed with a group of knowledgeable Americans making comments here. What I want to suggest is that we discuss what is best for the greater good for our country, not just for ourselves.
Any presidential choice we make involves a risk. Is he lying and manipulating to win the election, or is he honest? Will he/she serve American citizens ethically and honorably as president?
The U.S. Constitution was created to unite the states in our country in certain crucial areas, like national defense, while allowing states their autonomy and uniqueness. In the spirit of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, good character is the most essential quality to bring to our government.
Dr. Paul combines solid character and backbone with seasoned wisdom and experience. He has not compromised the values and principles that America holds dear.If you are not going to register as a Republican and vote for Dr. Ron Paul in the primary, who do you think is better, and for what reasons? Don’t state what you dislike about Dr. Paul’s plan.
It is easy to shoot someone’s ideas down.”[At times of hysteria] that is all the more reason the President has to speak out for what is right. Otherwise, he’s got no reason being in the White House. The President has to do the leading in a case like that. I’ve said before, the President is the only person in the government who represents the whole people. There are some who can afford to hire lobbyists and others to represent their special interests, but the President isn’t elected to pull strings for anybody. He’s elected to be the lobbyist for everybody in the United States. And, he is, too, if he’s any good.”

Wow. You are an idiot.
What candidate has been speaking the truth since 2008? Ron Paul
He predicted the bail outs, he said Obama would move troops from Iraq to Afghanistan.
He is the only candidate that speaks about ending war and closing bases in places we don’t need them (Japan still? Really?)
We can’t afford to borrow 40 cents on the dollar to pay for endless war and bank bailouts.
We can’t afford to payoff peoples homes.
We can’t afford anything.
Ron Paul has a solution. It’s not difficult to understand. You do it just like I do it: do spend what you don’t have and limit spending to pay down debt.
I think you shouldn’t be alarmed by the way Ron Paul muddles over words and has extreme stances on what gov’t should be doing. I would think you should be more alarmed at Obama for sending more of our “OtherBlackGuys” into more wars and dying at a higher rate and how the military under Obama targets more “BlackYouthGuys” out of high school.
If Ron Paul is a bigot, then you are worse off my friend. Educate yourself rather than perpetuating the nonsense you write.
We doubt if you’re fooling anyone, but Neocons will eat it up.
Ron Paul would bring home the troops and end the drug war. How many congressman want to end the war and drugs and cite how the drug war is designed to harm afican american people and the poor. HMM guess the author of this article likes the war and drugs and the prison-industry complex.
With all the war/killing/ and nation building, I think Obama’s working for someone. He’s worse than Bush! All the drone bombings are bound to cause another 911.
Ron Paul’s down to earth and real. He doesn’t cater to big business and corporations. His statements, at times sound bizarre, but when you listen to the logic, it makes total sense! Especially on free markets, foreign policy, welfare, and especially student loans. I think the guy really does care to make a difference.
The dude’s got my vote. And he’s an old white guy from Texas! 🙂
Ron Paul is the Hottest man in America!
“dismantle our proven federal system of government.” -Love this line.
“Imagine, a world in which companies are allowed to pollute as they wish, with no regard for you and me as people, no regard for our children, no regard for our health and no regard for the environment in which we live?”
Currently nobody gets to sue companies like BP because the EPA protects them. The gives indemnity to polluters and protects them when they violate property rights.
The only way to avoid such corruption is to have much smaller agencies at the state or local level.
This blog has shown up a few times in my customized Google News and I’ve read about a dozen articles. I was interested when I saw your headline, as some of your previous ones were equally provoking, but the content gave well reasoned and often counter-points to the title.
So, what happened? Is this a new author? Am I simply too new to ThyBlackMan.com to have noticed the slander before?
I am terribly disappointed in this article, and how quickly it dismisses Ron Paul’s candidacy by perpetuating the notion that he is “un-electable”. People often spoke similarly of MLK’s message (that it would — or worse: should never — be). People argued that the skin colors caused a natural conflict between the races, and that equality was a dream and nothing more.
Now you’re saying freedom is also? We should dismiss Dr. Paul because he uses the wrong vernacular (which is politically correct today? “black” or “African-American”? it seems to change more often than the seasons), or because he promotes ending the drug war? Surely you’re not arguing Obama or Cain are better simply because of their skin color! Clinton helped the African-American (or “black” — whichever you prefer) community far more than Obama has.
If ThyBlackMan is willing to throw someone who is so concerned with personal liberty under a bus, then your hypocracy has cost you one reader.
I don’t mind you using the word bigotry, if that is truly what you believe, however there is the possibility (i would say a very large probability) that you are wrong.
I also think it is unfair to accuse Ron Paul of irrational thought, his positions are seated in very specific terms of social and economic freedoms. Contrast with most other political candidates whose populist positions guarantees they will change their mind not when their logic fails but when their polling numbers slide.
As for the first comment here:-
“There is no way “States Right’s as a doctrine can work.”
Please do yourself a favour and read the federalist papers. There’s a (logical and moral and republican and democratic) reason that the 10th amendment reserves to the states those powers not enumerated in the US constitution. And the argument goes many orders of magnitude deeper than your baseless objections.
You are an idiot. You make statements and have no facts to back them up which means they are nothing more than you opinion. How I got a link to your site I know not but I will root out the source and delete it.
Do yourself a favor. Get educated.
You clearly know nothing about our government or why we are in debt, or for that matter you dont seem to know anything the government schools didnt teach you growing up.
Ron Paul is the perfect person for president and here is why
Only person to end the wars and bring our troops home
Only person willing to end the drug war and allowing science and doctors to study without regulations and allows the states vote on what should and shouldnt be legal, meaning the people vote matters agian. The Drug War is a horriable thing even if every drug was legal in every state it wouldnt be 5% of the problems the current drug war funds.
Only person willing to stand up to the FED who has been devaluing the dollar and robbing the American people of its money putting us in debt.
Only person who has proposed a balanced budget and has been speaking of the problems we are in now before we even got in them.
Please go on you-tube and read ronpauls web page this guy is giving you BS info. Ron Paul is the change everyone thought Obama was going to be sadly he became a puppet for big business.
Vote Ron Paul 2012!!
Ron Paul is the only one I will be voting for. As an African American who voted for Obama last time around, I strongly feel Ron Paul has the answers to bring America back to prosperity. I’ll admit he has some extreme stances on some issues, but as far as the things that will get America back on track, economic policy, ending wars, I can’t think of any other candidate that can match him. And plus, he’s honest. Can’t say that about most candidates, including Obama. Ron can and will win the presidential race.
What a biased piece of worthlessness this article is. Let me make a website called Thywhiteman.com and post lies about Herman Cain. Ron Paul does not yell randomly as the stupid picture would suggest, he sits patiently until he’s asked a question. Do you people even watch the debates, or do you just hate Ron because he wants to take away needless social spending? And yes, the stuff he wants to take is truly NEEDLESS. Do RESEARCH.
Progressives for Ron Paul is not a campaign run thing, I know because the founder has posted from time to time on Ron Paul supporter forums. It is by someone who supports Ron Paul for progressive reasons, essentially in taking account of the unaccountable Fed, and cutting costs while preserving the large entitlements (social security etc) and taking most of the costs from corporatism, or returning programs to the states in block grants. That founder does his own thing, and it shouldn’t reflect on the Paul campaign.
As to state rights, humans are flawed and the bigger the governmental unit making a decision the more likely the flaws of the humans in that governmental unit will be imposed on larger numbers of people. Individuals are best represented at the local level and should be entitled to have regional cultural and lifestyle differences if they want, without being run roughshod over for the convenience of ‘uniformity’ of big business. An individual can be represented at the local level by showing up at a city council meeting. Only those who can afford to hire a lobbyist are represented at centralized governmental levels.
And Ron Paul is the opposite of a bigot. Your use of that term with regards to him isn’t just wrong, it is offensive.
