(ThyBlackMan.com) “One man can change the world.” This is probably one of the overused phrases in modern society where change is necessary to adapt to the rapidly evolving world. Change is inevitable and will come one way or the other. Then the real question should be, how would you want the world to look like after you change it? The theory of one man changing the universe can be put into practice by sticking with a certain circle. That is adopting change at a personal level and convincing others to do so as well. Below is how people do change the world.
Leading by example
Changing the world starts with changing yourself and impacting the lives of those around you. Leadership is one of those aspects that come with a lot of power and influence. Some of the world greatest leaders had more than just goals and ambitions; they had big dreams of making the world a better place. According to Vitor Hallack, former world business leader and chairman of the Board, Camargo Correa, Brazil; good leadership and governance are necessary for sustained civilization. In a bid to inspire people to follow the right course and embrace positive progress in their lives and those around them; it all starts with you walking the talk and leading that challenging trail. To achieve this, one should be in a position to lead in an environment of constant stress, failure, and hardship.
Not giving up
Winners never quit and quitters never win. People who constantly come out of their comfort zone to fight for their dreams often emerge successfully. It’s by working on yourself that others can notice the change and even emulate your positive energy. One way to not give up on anything you do is by eliminating excuses and procrastination. The first sign of a loser is an excuse. Those who plan on impacting their lives and that of their loved ones have goals and reasons for doing what they must do. The uncommitted and the wannabes, on the other hand, look for reasons to give up.
Starting small
There is an uncommon phrase, “those who change the world, start their day by making their beds”. This may sound ridiculous, but it’s very true. By starting the day with simple accomplishments, you get a small sense of pride and will encourage you to do other tasks. This also reinforces the fact that simple things in life matters and if you can’t do the simple things right, you won’t be able to do the big things at all.
Being keen listeners
The world is running short of good listeners. People who prefer to watch and pay attention instead of speaking and making unnecessary arguments. Those who change the world talk less, but do more. They are the great leaders who will constantly listen even when their subjects aren’t speaking. Good listeners have mastered the art of reading, analyzing and predicting the situations at hand.
The will to succeed and the dream to change the world should be intentional and deliberate. Nobody gets what they want in life, but what they are. By working on yourself and uplifting your fighting spirit, you’ll be upgrading your worth to reach the bigger goals.
