(ThyBlackMan.com) In the midst of the murdering of our Black Men in Ferguson, NY and beyond, we have to be keenly aware of all “distractions”.
We have to thoroughly understand that there are those that have a specific agenda when it comes to the Black Family, especially the Black Man. Its always been that way. First he was made to look and appear weak to us, then he’s made to be a Monster. There are a lot of strategic propaganda in place to make Black Men appear savage, child abusers, rapists, abusive(domestic violence), Deadbeats, and their value of life is equivalent to items in a clearance bin.
You take a man that has produced one of the longest running shows that portrayed the Black Family in a positive light and you taint his name and image at the height of ratchet TV shows and the execution of Black Men by the hands of White Police Officers.. The Cosby Show portrayed the Black Family as an actual FUNCTIONING FAMILY. There were TWO loving MARRIED parents, that raised their children together.
They instilled values and morals in their children. Their daughters didn’t end up as baby mama’s, three of them were WIVES at the end of the show. Compare that structure to what’s on our TV now. We have shows where Black Women are not dignified, there are no morals, there are rarely any wives, instead we have Black Women that love to coon for the camera and portray EVERY negative stereotype about us. Instead of Phylicia Rashad, today’s Black Woman is watching Nene Leakes, Joseline Hernandez and Erica Mena. They are watching women curse, fight and engage in promiscuous activity, The Cosby show promoted chastity among Black Women, whereas shows like Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, the women pass themselves around to the men like a blunt, and everyone gets a taste and a pull.
Through The Cosby Show, Bill Cosby showed us what a Black Family should look like. Through a Different World, we were inspired to pursue education specifically at a HBU. And this is the legacy that they are trying to destroy.
So many women said they didn’t come forward because Bill Cosby was 
such a “powerful man.” No matter how “powerful” a Black Man gets, White Supremacy will ALWAYS take an opportunity to remind you that you’re still a nigga to them. A Black Man allegedly “drugging and raping” white women on a consistently basis and you think there would have been no consequences? Name a Black Man that you know whose power or influence supersedes the cries of rape from a White Woman.
Everyone is saying that all stories are the same. I guess so; they are all following the same script. A white actor by the name of Stephen Collins, who played the father on the TV Series “Seventh Heaven” was recorded by his wife, confessing that he molested several young girls and while that story had traction for a couple of days, it has quietly faded into oblivion.
However the bloodhounds stay on Cosby’s scent. Why NOW, during this TIME is there a public media lynching of an influential Black Man, that is also parallel with several murders of our Black Men? This continues to plant the idea that a Black Man is “inherently bad”, no matter what he accomplishes, regardless of his positive contributions or who he influences underneath it all “he” is still a savage beast. We have the physical killings of our Brothers and the slow death of a Black Man’s legacy.
I’m not discounting any real, and proven cases of actual events, I’m just reminding us that there’s ALWAYS an agenda, and if you don’t peep it, more than likely, you’re a part of it. As Black Women we have to be EXTREMELY aware of warfare. We have to be mindful of who we lend our minds and ears to, and how we speak publicly about certain incidents.
When they are roasting our men, we can’t be participants at the bonfire. We can’t be the ammunition used to slaughter the Black Male Image. The best way to destroy a Black Man, is to send one of his own (Black Woman) to pull the trigger. The Black Woman has become White Supremacy’s not-so-secret weapon, and many of us are their BEST trained assassins.
What we have been witnessing with Bill Cosby is a virtual lynching, the media has replaced the rope, but the effect is still the same. Pick a Nigga, Kill (his legacy) a Nigga. White People have been lynching Black Men in front of audiences for years; the media just allows for more spectators.
