The Adrien Broner Sex Tape And The Problem Of Today’s Narcissistic Hellbound Generation.

What was it that I witnessed?

Well it was the (purposely) leaked sex recording of Adrien Broner and two young women, a man who, has as of recent times has been touted as boxing’s next biggest thing after Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr.

Now everyone who keeps up with my blog or talk shows know that I am a lifelong diehard boxing fan and I just can’t understand how a person who has achieved such an enviable position in the sport can smash his future and potential endorsement options merely because he wants to show the world that he sexed up two women at the same time!

But I guess it’s a matter of being young and dumb, because I must admit that at that junction point in my life at 23 years old I would have been just as guilty in that type of activity except recording devices weren’t as plentiful. When I think back on my wild days I’ve done some things that were just as stupid but what I can’t understand is why hasn’t anyone on his team instructed him on what he should and shouldn’t do?

It’s very tough to make it in the sport of boxing with the amount of sharks swimming in those open waters, my thing is that why would someone dedicate their life to achieving this rare level then do something so stupid to throw it all away?

Sure, when you’re young and earning lots of money and have lots of fame it can be hard to see the long term effects of ones actions on a career that could end overnight with an injury, a devastating loss or some other unforeseen tragedy.

I myself have been blessed to make it to the age that I am not because I’m so smart but because God has kept His protective hand over my life throughout my long periods of utter foolishness even when I had no clue how close I’ve come to those unseen disasters that could have wiped me out.

Some of us who have walked this deadly path out here in the world were not so lucky…….

That being said, when I recently watched a YouTube interview of Adrien Broner on his upcoming fight this December to defend his W.B.A. slice of the Welterweight Boxing Title against the tough Argentine Marcos “El Chino” Maidana, when the subject of his freaky frolic came up all he could say was something to the effect that he was having fun and simply enjoying his youth.

Having fun?

In the modern days of these potent and deadly diseases lurking about covertly in the crotch sauce of these drop dead gorgeous voluptuous vixens, it’s a role of the dice on your life when you decide to run out into an erotic violent thunderstorm without the protection of a raincoat! You’re BOUND to get wet!

Think not? Ask fellow boxer Tommy “The Duke” Morrison who passed away recently after a long battle with AIDS, a disease that he was actually in denial of having. Sure, Tommy’s heavy drug use had to help with his downfall but at the end of the day one can come back from a drug addiction but at the present time you simply can’t “undo” exposure to the HIV virus.

So after seeing Adrien Broner in all of his well hung glory “having fun” in an unprotected manner, I couldn’t help but ask “who are these young playthings” – who have obviously agreed to having their participation in what could only be classified as a hardcore porn flick – and what was THERE motivation to being put out there in the public like that?

It makes you wonder when these celebrity athletes want sympathy from the public because some “groupie” is taking them to court for child support or they’re now crying out to the Heavens asking “WHY” when they find out that they have full blown AIDS!

Maybe it’s just me, but I do know that times have changed but I simply can’t understand not only in Mr. Broner’s case but in this society in general,

Granted, what Adrien Broner did as far as the activity is concerned is nothing new in the world of sport and celebrity. Groupies and the ego charged hyper amplified sexual antics have been around as long as man has walked the earth and money, power and fame are the ultimate intoxicants of these peace deficient souls.

But all of this brings to mind a scripture that I understand even more so with every passing hour:

2 Timothy 3:2-5 (New International Version (NIV)

2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Isn’t that amazing? This really is bigger than Adrien Broner because this explains the direction that our younger generations are going into even more so than their predecessors. Look at Social Media and what drives it, our children have been turned out effectively in the most insecure formative years of their lives as their lack of confidence and the voids held covertly within have become the breeding grounds of these “nether spirits” spoken of in 2 Timothy 3:2-5

So we have to view Adrien Broner as a victim of a spiritually deficient era where everything anti-God is placed high on the list of things to be desired.

Adrien Broner is playing to the same crowd as Rapper Nicki Minaj, it’s a form of rebellion that’s the order of the day. Look at it this way, every subsequent generation had to come with something to shock the oppressive society that desired to keep their youngsters under the same set of predictable rules that they toiled under as they came into adulthood.

But at what point do we say enough is enough because this is so much more than a teenage period of finding oneself, Satan has pushed the envelope of decadence even harder while this brief window of opportunity exists in our youth. The problem is that the consequences of these deadly games that they play are far more final than anything that we’ve indulged in before in our ascension to adulthood.

What happened to our fear of HIV? I can remember when the media fanned the flames HARD every single day to ensure that everyone knew how deadly its presence was when entering into ones life. Now, we have role models who sign off in a positive way the behavior that will lead our youth – and some of us grown folks – straight into a living hell robbing them of all of the truly wholesome joys of growing up.

The funny thing is as I type these words the Iyanla VanZant “Fix My Life” show is playing on the television in the living room next to my office showcasing the troubles and pains of former football star Terrell Owens and his fall from super stardom.

And while I’m focusing on getting this written expression completed I couldn’t help but overhear how he said that he could count his true friends on one hand (Probably with a few fingers left over!) and that most who flanked him were only interested in the Money, Power and Fame that he once had.

Once THOSE so called highly desirable attributes were gone, so were his fair weather friends!

Might Adrien Broner learn a thing or two about life by sitting down with those high profile athletes and entertainers who have taken a fall similar to Terrell Owens or maybe this wayward society and it’s intoxicating pleasures have him blinded to gaining any wisdom to show him the deadly path that he treads that will only lead him to an early grave?

Everyone won’t be as lucky as Mike Tyson to receive the many second chances that he was blessed with after living a hedonistic undisciplined life of drugs, partying and the dirty whores who masqueraded as friends to get what they wanted out of him.

Do you think that you would catch boxing’s all time great Bernard Hopkins out there like that? The only way to have longevity not only in the sport of boxing but in ANY endeavor that requires discipline is to live a Spartan life and commit to being a student of your craft wholeheartedly.

Anything less, especially in such a brutal and competitive sport only spells an eventual doom and wasted effort where once one could have truly grasped greatness. Just because the whole is calling you out as the next Floyd Mayweather doesn’t mean that it’s written in stone my friend.

Don’t be fooled by the bright lights, world wide acclaim and pseudo-adoration that you think is yours but is really for anyone who is in your current slot. Yes, if you weren’t where you are now, whoever is in that slot would have the opportunity to lay up with those same women who are parting their thighs and titillating you with their bisexual acts of unrestrained freakishness would be with the next money train that they feel that they could SUCK from…….pun intended.

So don’t let it get to your head, especially since you are still an infant in a sport that cares not for you as a person and will chew you up and spit you out without hesitation only to move on to the next kill before you even realize what happened!

Whether you realize it or not, you have a God to answer to, and that same God can and will smack you down so hard to remind you of WHO gave you your talents and the gift of life itself. Don’t push His patience and cause Him to take you out of your wonton life and bless someone else with it all because you refused to do all things to His glory.

You see, the worst thing is to be fooled into thinking that we are a God beside God and that everything that we have is something that we achieved without the help of the Almighty! You didn’t give yourself the breath of life and you damn sure didn’t wake yourself up this morning!

Make a point of attempting to understand this as you use His divine vessels of womanhood for your carnal pleasure fulfillment. Just because they are foolish at this point in time in their life doesn’t mean you have the right to bedazzle them into your bed to degrade what is truly the most divine creation from the hand of God Himself.

Others who idolize you will follow through with the same mentality and eventual behavior on other wayward sisters and our community will further fall into the destruction as Satan and his designated earthly oppressors take pride and joy in their deceptive works. You on the other hand before your eventual fall – if you don’t stop the foolishness – will be paid well in this world to enjoy every foul pleasure and lead our youth into the depths of hell thinking that it’s the right path and behavior to partake in.

You are doing nothing good for yourself Mr. Adrien Broner, God has blessed you greatly and you should understand that you have a mighty influence over an entire generation who identifies with you in a very powerful way that others could never attain.

Use it for the good because believe me, time flies and you will begin to see your on mortality as you age and look back on your life and what really mattered throughout the circus of a reality television show lifestyle played out for the world to see.

Make you life count my Brother, make it count for more than a quick porno video shoot that will mock you as you are lowered into the depths of hell regretting every minute of a fleeting life that amounted to nothing.

…….it doesn’t have to go that way, strive not only to be a champion in the ring, but be a champion in LIFE!
