(ThyBlackMan.com) Who are the Jews, and what does it mean to be a Jew? For what reason do certain people dislike the Jews? What makes the Jews different from everyone else, is that they are Hebrews. What is a Hebrew? In the King James’ Bible, the word “Hebrew” is first used in reference to Abram (Abraham). When Abram was 75 years old, in 2243 BC, Yehovah “called” Abram to “come out” from his family in Haran, in the northern part of Canaan, which is now SE Turkey. Perhaps twelve years earlier, the family had lived in, and moved out from, Ur of the Chaldees (Babylon), when Abram’s youngest brother (Haran) died. The Hebrews are people that have been “called out by God to be separated”, and to “cross over” into the knowledge of our Creator.
