(ThyBlackMan.com) I know I preface a lot of what I write with “when I was growing up,” or “in my childhood.” But it is factual and rings poetic. In my early years, a movie called “Carwash“ came out. It is a 1976 comedy set over the course of a single day at a busy Los Angeles car wash called the “De Luxe Car Wash.” The workers include a mix of personalities, dreamers, hustlers, ex-cons, activists, and musicians, each dealing with their own struggles, ambitions, and identities. Among them are Abdullah, a militant Black Muslim; Duane, a flashy preacher trying to recruit followers; and Floyd, a carefree worker just trying to get through the day.

As cars come and go, the film explores themes like economic hardship, race, religion, and the pursuit of the American Dream, all with humor and satire. The episodic structure gives a snapshot of 1970s urban life, capturing both the frustrations and camaraderie of working-class people. More important to me besides fine azz Tracy Reed, it had Richard Pryor, Franklyn Ajaye, Bill Duke, Antonio Fargas, Garrett Morris, and Otis Sistrunk in the flick. But more meaningful was its iconic funk and soul soundtrack, produced by Norman Whitfield with Rose Royce. One song in particular to me that stood out was “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, a song by Rose Royce, released in 1976 on their Car Wash album.

When a cat says “put your money where your mouth is,” it has a simple meaning: It means back up what you’re saying with action or proof, especially by taking a risk, making a commitment, or showing you truly believe what you’re claiming. In short: Don’t just talk—prove it.

This puts into perspective what comes to my mind when Demokkkrats call the Save Act Jim Crow 2.0. It makes no sense to me for anyone to consider requiring that one is a U.S. citizen, and showing ID to vote, is anything close to Jim Crow laws or the black codes.

Jim Crow refers to a system of racial segregation and discrimination laws in the United States that enforced white supremacy, mainly in the South, from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s. The term comes from a racist 19th-century minstrel character called “Jim Crow,” which became shorthand for laws and customs that separated Black and white people.

Key features of Jim Crow laws included segregation (“separate but equal”), voting restrictions via tactics like poll taxes, literacy tests, and intimidation to prevent black Americans from voting, legal discrimination in the form of laws openly treating black citizens as inferior, and violence and intimidation. The U.S. Supreme Court case Plessy v. Ferguson upheld segregation under the “separate but equal” doctrine, giving Jim Crow laws legal backing.

Jim Crow began to collapse during the Civil Rights Movement, beginning with Brown v. Board of Education, which declared school segregation unconstitutional, followed by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which banned segregation in public places, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

None of this is even problematic today, and if it was so dangerous a threat to the constitution, why don’t Democrats in Congress put their money where their mouth is, and stop taking a paycheck as long as the government is in shutdown mode?

This should be standard procedure; if the cybersecurity experts at the Department of Homeland Security, TSA agents, and Secret Service are not being paid, then why should they be? The truth is, they don’t experience any hardship; they are willing to handle the burdens faced by federal workers in these agencies. When they go to the airport, they don’t have to wait in line because security and law enforcement officers escort them to the front whenever they travel.

In my teen years, every Fourth of July, my neighborhood had a block party. One of the guests annually was Harold Ford Sr, his brother John, and their kids, one of whom was Harold Ford Jr. He would even swim in our backyard pool. The Fourth of July was a big thing back then. Junior eventually took his father’s place in Congress to represent Memphis.

While there, I recall that he once sponsored a Bill that would prevent members of Congress from receiving pay during a government shutdown. It was introduced after there had been two prior shutdowns due to a conflict between Clinton and Republicans led by Newt Gingrich over spending levels, Medicare, education, and balanced budget plans. His argument was simple: members of Congress should not receive pay during a government shutdown. In his view, which I found reasonable at the time, if Congress fails to pass a budget and the government shuts down, lawmakers should share the financial consequences. It aimed to create accountability and pressure Congress to avoid political gridlock.

However, the measure never made it to the floor for a vote. So here we are today, where politicians on one side of the aisle have a main concern for the rights of illegal aliens over the demands of U.S. citizens. This is all it is. Every time you look around, the progressive policy position is on the side of illegal immigrants. Whether it is Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland begging for the return of Salvadoran Kilmar Armando Ábrego García, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and state Attorney General Keith Ellison defending rampant fraud committed by naturalized Somali’s, or state officials refusing to share and clean voter rolls, illegal immigrants are defended to the hilt.

No one who is taking the position to keep the government closed should be paid. The true reason they complain so vehemently about DHS being at voting polls and the SAVE Act is that if enacted, the SAVE Act cuts off their path to cheat so that they will lose seats and, importantly, power. They don’t want the swamp to be drained, so they make excuses.

Hell, you need ID to drive, fly domestically or internationally, buy alcohol, cigarettes, open a bank account, cash a check, get a job, enter any federal building/courthouse, rent a car, and in some cases, to get a prescription. You can’t even buy cold medicine without an ID.

If you are too stupid to get the proper identification, then you shouldn’t be voting! The only supposedly American who can’t get their birth certificate that I know of is Barack Obama.

Why die on this hill, and who are they protecting? Is it the woman recently arrested for the murder of her lesbian lover in Charlotte, NC, Lhis Brito-Costa, 23, an illegal alien who killed her partner after finding out she was cheating on her with someone else, and then shoved her body in a closet and covered the entryway with towels? Is it Abdul Jalloh, the illegal immigrant arrested over 30 times, who stabbed a woman to death at a bus stop in Virginia, where Governor Abigail Spanberger has signed an executive order, terminating agreements between state law enforcement and ICE? Or are they the millions of illegals voting in California, where ID is not required to vote?

These are the people Democrats want in our country. Then there is the fact that a lot of blue-run states are giving illegals driver’s licenses, and paying the homeless 5$ for their voter registration. In Delaware, people with green cards are registered to vote. This shit has got to stop, and people need to be held accountable, because every illegal vote cancels out an American citizen’s vote.

Again, if you can’t be a responsible adult to minimally have your documents in order, with extremely low effort, then you have no business voting in this country. I can not believe we even have a big debate about this. But at the same time, I never thought we’d be debating what a man and a woman are.

The Democrats are literally saying that black Americans and women are too dumb to go to the health department or social security office websites and submit their personal information if for some reason they threw their marriage certificate in the trash or laminated their SS Card.

If I have to register to vote again, I have my birth certificate. I misplaced my birth certificate a few years ago, and I just ordered one online from the Shelby County clerk to get a copy. If you live too far from that county, you can order it online. If you can’t figure that out, then you’re not intelligent enough to vote.

We have to connect the dots. They depend on dirty voter rolls, ballot harvesting, and universal mail-in. This means we gotta vote in the primaries and November, we can’t allow the lefty loonies to take power again. If you stay home, you’re voting for a Democrat. Until then, we have to make these folks suffer, and stopping them from getting paid when no one elses is, would be a good start.

(ThyBlackMan.com) I’m gonna keep this brief. This is at the drop of a dime, and I have to write about this, or I will be in my feelings. So in this rant, you are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge.

Often, I wonder if people on their anti-ICE and abolish ICE crusade have any compassion or concern about the lives of American citizens. I even wonder if proponents of the Black Lives Matter cavalcade do as well, especially if they are black Americans. I say this because a few days ago down here in the fourth state to ratify the United States Constitution, a Guatemalan driver fleeing a Georgia traffic stop by federal immigration officers crashed into another vehicle, killing a teacher who was headed to work. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System identified the victim as Dr. Linda Davis, a teacher at Hesse K-8 School.

Oscar Vasquez Lopez, 38, the driver accused of causing the crash just outside of Savannah, is in the U.S. illegally, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He is currently in jail on charges including vehicular homicide, reckless driving, and driving without a valid license. Immigration officers were looking for Lopez to enforce an immigration judge’s 2024 deportation order.

One would expect national news media to cover this story, and that members in the community would protest on behalf of Dr. Davis, but the opposite was true; the protests were in support of Lopez, who fled federal immigration officers, ran a red light, and struck her vehicle while making an illegal U-turn.

No one protested on behalf of the woman who was killed. Keeping it a thow-wow, protesting for the criminal but not the deceased, is wild and crazy work. I reckon that if ‘Bubba’ or ‘Sung’ or ‘Keisha’ had been running from the law without a license and took an innocent, accomplished, contributing citizen’s life after making an illegal U-turn, NOBODY would be taking up for them.

Protestors blamed ICE while advocating for the abolition of ICE. This is like blaming the rape victim for wearing a short skirt. Local news outlets spoke with his wife, but not once does his wife express any concern about what happened to the victim. I am confused about how the reporter felt the need to interview his family as if he were the victim to begin with.

All she said was that he was a“good person,” “hard working,” and “honorable.” These terms get thrown around way too much for the wrong people in my purview. From where I sit, he might have been good at building a fence, but he was hard at work to get away from the police, and the only thing he was HONORABLE at was being hidden for so long from being sent back to his own country. Speeding, driving recklessly, fleeing, and eluding police don’t necessarily equal a good and honorable person. He could have pulled over and stayed, but instead, he sped away, causing the death of this good woman. Blue lights behind you, pull over and stop. You don’t flee.

This is disgusting. This bum killed a woman who contributed to her community, and his wife makes it sound like, uh, what happened, happened. It is entirely sickening. She is basically complaining because all the blame is being placed on him. Correct, it’s his fault. She doesn’t express any sympathy for the woman he killed. He needs hard time in prison, and his wife needs to be deported out of here tomorrow. Actually, when they get close to shore, open the hatch and let her swim the rest of the way back.

Forget this criminal. What about the victim’s family? The protestor, for some odd reason, proclaimed that Lopez was innocent. I just ask, if he was so innocent, then why did he run? If he weren’t here illegally and continued to break the law by felony evading, then we would still have a highly educated elementary school teacher alive to teach children.

It’s just bonkers to protest against those who protect you and be on the side of criminals. Lopez initially stopped and then fled. He killed her less than 1/2 mile from the stop, he fled – less than 2,600 feet. Add to this, he was unlicensed and did not have auto insurance. I pay too much money for auto insurance for illegals to drive without having it.

Long story short, if he had left in 2024 when he received the deportation order, Dr. Davis would still be alive. If he had just complied when stopped by ICE, she would still be alive. He did not care about the other drivers on the road; he only cared about himself – such a good person. It is bothersome that Dr. Linda Davis would get in the way of a poor, fleeing illegal. Had she not caused the accident, Lopez would still be free today, creating a larger body count that liberals would ignore.

I tell you, I do not know what is wrong with these people protesting on behalf of a criminal, illegal alien murderer. All the blame should be put on him, because if he had stopped and cooperated with law enforcement, that woman would still be alive. This tragedy was entirely preventable and is the direct result of a refusal to follow legal orders. ICE was simply fulfilling its duty to uphold immigration law. Those who oppose the enforcement of our nation’s laws should leave the US and seek residency in another country. Furthermore, the wife’s total lack of empathy for the victim is a disturbing reflection of her substandard character.

The sad thing is that these black folks (everybody really) protesting against ICE cannot see that they are in action against their own community. What reasonable person would protest on behalf of higher rent and housing costs because of the increased demand compliments of unfettered illegal immigration? What person with common sense would protest on behalf of overcrowded, already dysfunctional schools that fail to serve the needs of black children? Last, how dumb does one have to be to vote to provide their tax dollars for services they need, to be given to non-taxpayers, who eventually will out vote you in the nation you were born in?

If this describes you, you are a useless tool, and like these protestors, demented. This guy is a murderer now. It does not matter why he was being stopped. He chose to run, and now he killed somebody innocent. All I know is that Lopez was here illegally, issued a warrant to be deported, broke the law while driving, ran from cops, ran a red light, killed a law-abiding woman, and yet it’s not all his fault. But what do I know? I usually blame someone who runs red lights, makes illegal U-turns, crashes into someone, and kills them, too.

I feel much better now. I thank you for your patience, because this irritates the fck out of me.

We were the four-square, stickball, and marble-playing generation, where every boy took a spinning top to class each day in elementary school. Compared to current standards, that was who we were.

To make it more provident and divinatory, I had a girlfriend in college whom I loved to death. Monique Williams. For some reason, she lacked the reason, providence, and judgment to recognize that her world of make-believe was not mine. In her head, regardless of all other attributes, she considered me a thug and a gangster, which could not be farther from the truth. All because I chewed tobacco, toted a gat daily, and felt no reluctance to shoot a mutha fuca if I had to. I was merely the average run-of-the-mill country boy; I wasn’t from the streets. She lost her mind that time I shot at a dude trying run me off the road. We broke up after that. I loved slim, Jesus wept.

True, I ran with other country cats. Dice shooting, pick-up truck, and Cadillac driving, musician, weed smoker, drug dealers, and dudes that fought dogs. Ain’t proud of it, but Doris Day. I also had a pool in my backyard, gave parties, and was quick to pick up a broad like Harpo Marx. Every Friday you could catch us at Club No Name (real name), drinking Vat 69 and gangsta walkin’ to DJ Spanish Fly amidst the smell and smoke of chicken head and scunion in the air. Don’t reckon another generation like ours will be proofed in 12-year-old Oak barrels like we were by age 16, for we were the last of the Animal House generation.

Animal House (1978) is a classic raunchy comedy set at the fictional Faber College in the early 1960s. The story follows a group of misfit students who pledge Delta Tau Chi, a notoriously wild and irresponsible fraternity known for nonstop partying, pranks, and total disregard for authority.

When the college administration, led by the uptight Dean Wormer, puts Delta on double-secret probation, the fraternity responds by escalating its rebellion rather than cleaning up its act. Meanwhile, rival frat Omega Theta Pi, made up of elitist, well-connected students, works closely with the dean to get Delta shut down for good.

As tensions rise, Delta’s antics grow more outrageous, culminating in a chaotic homecoming parade that turns into full-blown campus mayhem. Despite the fraternity eventually being expelled, the film ends by revealing that most of the Delta members go on to surprisingly successful (and ironic) futures.

At its core, Animal House is a satirical take on authority, conformity, and youth rebellion, using crude humor and absurdity to mock the rigid social structures of college life and 1960s respectability. It was followed by a few more movies [The Warriors-1979, Friday the Thirteenth and The Blues Brothers-1980], and many more that probably couldn’t be made today.

Me and mine were Animal House before the movie came out, during my 10th-grade year. If the Barbary pirates had not existed, we would have been them. We were the Memphis version of the Barbary corsairs. These North African seafaring raiders operated from roughly the 1500s to the early 1800s out of ports along modern-day Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya (the Barbary Coast). Sadly, we were foul like that. Shout out to Tripoli.

Point blank period, when people ask me what kind of movie Animal House is, I tell them it’s a documentary. When I was at Morehouse, every room had the Animal House poster that said ‘We can do anything we want to… we’re college students,’ or the American Gigolo poster.

The movie justified the hard drinking my friends and I did in high school, and introduced me to the toga party, which we would come to call LAGNAFs (Let’s All Get Naked And………).

“Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son,” is a classic line, and I love how, when he pauses after saying “When the Going Gets Tough,” the music goes into a holding pattern too. John Belushi is brilliant as Bluto Blutarsky.

Animal House sounds like an educational children’s TV show that teaches children about all sorts of animals and what makes them special. But it wasn’t, it was more than that. It was a rite of passage and reflective of a time when you got a daily morning and evening paper delivered to your house, and when Supreme Court Jurists knew what a woman was, didn’t perform in Broadway plays, or attend the Grammys. It was a period when chopping off a child’s breast or penis was a disgusting thought to even consider, let alone imagine being carried out.

Since then, I have managed to mature into the person I am, and I thank Animal House, in concert with the “Droogs” (Hat tip to Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange, 1962), for coming up with. Many, unfortunately, were dead before age 35, with many of the remaining ones being functional alcoholics, players, fathers, husbands, or an amalgam of all the aforementioned. Animal House brought to my attention that, although I wrote poetry, I was an essayist more than a poet.

From my perspective, if Animal House were an essay, its core purpose would be to mock and critique authority, conformity, and moral pretension, which is exactly what I do daily. I would say that the thesis (implied, not stated) is that institutions that claim moral superiority (elite universities, fraternities, administrators, politicians, or journalists) are often hypocritical, arbitrary, and disconnected from real human behavior.

Instead of logic and citations, the film uses exaggeration, absurdity, and inversion (the “worst” students are the most human; the “best” students are cruel, empty, or authoritarian). To me, it is the classic satirical argument in film form: it doesn’t tell you what to think, it makes the official values look ridiculous until they collapse on their own. Something my readers may notice I do frequently.

Structurally, Animal House also works like a narrative essay. Not only does it follow a chronological arc and makes uses specific characters as case studies, but it also shows rather than tells how power works in social systems.

Its power comes from undermining seriousness with comedy, not from formal reasoning, and that satirical narrative argument that critiques institutional authority and moral hierarchy by dramatizing the conflict between lived human behavior and imposed social order is the primal battle imbued in living and enjoying life.

(ThyBlackMan.com) In your mind, you may be thinking, what book have I read that spawned me to think about to write on what I am about to print? What can I say? With that stated, the decades-old allegations of welfare fraud by immigrant Somali communities across the nation, in concert with the audible political chorus of tax the rich, remind me of a play by Arthur Miller called The Crucible, and a song, written by Tupac Shakur and produced by Dr. Dre, a hip-hop classic called California Love.

First, The Crucible. Written in 1953 and set in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, during the hysteria of the Salem Witch Trials, The Crucible is the story of a tightly knit Puritan community that spirals into paranoia after a group of girls, led by Abigail Williams, accuse townspeople of witchcraft to deflect blame for their own forbidden actions. As fear spreads, accusations become tools for revenge, land grabs, and settling old scores.

At the center is John Proctor, a flawed but principled farmer who challenges the court’s legitimacy when his wife, Elizabeth, is accused. Proctor’s struggle pits personal guilt and moral integrity against a legal system that values confession over truth. As the trials escalate, honest people are condemned while liars gain power, revealing how mass fear and rigid ideology can corrupt justice. Ultimately, Proctor chooses to preserve his name rather than save his life through a false confession, affirming the play’s core theme: the cost of integrity in the face of collective madness. The trials for Miller were a crucible moment in history. Miller wrote the play as an allegory for the Red Scare and McCarthyism, using Salem to warn how societies can abandon reason and ethics when fear overrides truth.

The way I see things, similarly, this rampant welfare/government fraud by immigrant Somali communities across the nation, in concert with the audible political chorus of tax the rich makes this a crucible moment in history. Understand what time it is in this country.

A crucible moment is a powerful, often painful or high-pressure experience that fundamentally shapes a person’s identity, values, or worldview. It’s called a “crucible” because, like metal refined by extreme heat, the individual is tested, challenged, and transformed through the experience. This can occur via personal or collective failure, trauma, discrimination, moral dilemma, loss, or forces self-reflection and reevaluation of beliefs or purpose. The result can be lasting change, such as resilience, clarity, leadership ability, or moral conviction, negative or positive; what matters is the depth of transformation.

Based on what has been occurring and building up over the past decade and more, I would contend that America, on the edge of our 250th Anniversary, is at a crucible moment. It may have started when Trump came down that escalator in 2015, or with the 2008 financial crisis, or the 8 years of Obama in Afghanistan, and over 4,400 U.S. soldiers killed. I could not accurately tell you, but since then until now inclusive, of two KNOWN assassination plots/attempts on the President, the murder of Charlie Kirk, massive unfettered illegal immigration, and cities nationwide infected with uncontrolled criminality, the U.S. is on track to confront an uncertain future. The question is, will we remain on this path until our demise, or make a cyclopean course correction?

No one asked, but if we are making any corrections, we must acknowledge the elephant in the lobby, the politics of the Democrat party. Not the party itself, but the people who support and run it in its modern variety. In simple words, the biggest threats to America are the Democrat party and their lapdog media mutts. In their world, all evil is the result of Donald Trump, conservatives, and republicans, which consequently means that every action taken by the aforementioned is an existential threat. Renovating the White House to add a ballroom is an existential threat. Changing the name of the Kennedy Center is an existential threat. Kill a few drug runners existential threat, or a threat to international law (whatever that is). Ship criminal gang members out of the country who entered illegally, an existential threat, or a threat to international law (whatever that is).

International law is make-believe, it isnt a real thing. International law only applies to countries less powerful than the United States. It doesn’t apply to us. We are the creators of international law; ergo, we are exempt. It does not apply to us. It only applies to countries that are less powerful than us. Truth is, we are International law because we are the only nation that can enforce international law. Otherwise, if not used in the aforementioned manner, the concept is ineffectual and impotent.

Democrats’ outrage is as fake as a Minnesota daycare center. If Trump took down Hitler, Democrats would be protesting and saying, “Free Hitler. There is no logic behind their actions. It’s TDS, sickness of the mind.

Policy-wise is just as bad. They promise everything, deliver nothing, and blame someone else. This is the Democrat playbook. Why, because now, they complain because the Big Beautiful Bill put into law will cut your taxes; therefore, they need more money. Democrats never want to take money by stopping fraud, graft, waste, or by stopping the giving of free stuff to illegal immigrants; they only want to raise taxes, because that’s the only thing that they know how to do. Instead of cutting spending like normal folks, their solution is to raise taxes. This is why they are proposing a millionaire or billionaire tax in Washington and California, accordingly.

Let us begin with the Minnesota fiasco. Let us keep it a bean, Welfare gives Democrats an advantage. If it weren’t for welfare, the Democrat party wouldn’t exist. What do Democrats have to offer outside of welfare? For example, in April 2024, the Biden administration put in place a policy that didn’t require verification that kids were attending child care centers before sending them as much as $19 billion in federal funding.

They don’t have anything else to offer. So, when you talk about doing an audit on the welfare system, you’re basically talking about auditing the Democratic party business model. This scares Democrats to death because, without welfare, why would anybody vote Democrat? A lot of these people are voting Democrat because they’re getting checks from Democrats. Thus, any accountability regarding welfare is a threat to Democratic power and control.

These women in traditional dress in Minnesota do not find or use daycare, and we all know it. First, it is against their culture. Women in Somalia, who live and dress like that, are not allowed to work and stay at home with their kids. It is cultural and religious beliefs that influence such behavior. About 43% of American Muslims are employed full-time, which is comparable to the general public. However, a 2025 study suggests that Muslim women who wear a hijab have significantly lower employment rates (roughly 36%).

By any form of math, it defeats logic to require this many child care centers in one small region to provide services for 3o or more percent of the population. This may be why the daycare facilities had blacked out windows, seem like a tell for human trafficking, slavery, and/or meth lab cooking. Why black out the windows? Elementary schools do NOT blackout their windows.

One thing I know about traditional Muslims, they don’t need child care because their women don’t work. These women wearing these burkas legitimately don’t work. These women are stay-at-home mothers. They don’t work, and they take care of their kids. There’s no need for all of these daycares. The fact that they have so many of these daycares again should be an additional tip that something fishy is going on because, culturally speaking, it shouldn’t be necessary.

The videos from Minnesota take me to the incessant ‘tax the rich’ mantra repeated ad nauseam by the same cohort of politicians. Case in point is California, which just recently, took a bill to the attorney general that they want to be on the 2026 November ballot for people to vote for a 5% tax on anyone who is worth a billion dollars or more, effective January 1st, 2026. The title of the current California billionaire tax proposal, spearheaded by unions, is the “2026 Billionaire Tax Act” (Initiative 25-0024), aiming for the November 2026 ballot as a one-time 5% wealth tax on residents with over $1 billion in net worth, to fund healthcare and education.

So if you are a billionaire living in California, as of 2026, they want to tax you 5% of your net worth, not your cash net worth. Meaning, they want to tax you 5% of whatever equity you own, which is unrealized gains. In addition, they want to take this loot and put it in their broken health care system, which they have mainly to pick up the cost of giving health care to illegal aliens, and the remainder to the states’ failed education system.

Why would anyone desire to have their taxes provide for the needs of criminal aliens, or add more coin to an already unrepairable and failed state education system? California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), taken by students in grades 3–8 and 11 statewide, reveals about 47% of students met or exceeded grade-level standards. That means just under half of students are proficient in reading/ELA. Around 36% of students met or exceeded state standards, meaning about one in three students is proficient in math. In total, a 52% of students fail to meet basic grade-level standards in English (reading/writing), and around 63% fail to meet basic standards in math statewide. It is even worse for black students.

Only 32.8% of black students met or exceeded grade-level standards in ELA in 2025, with just 20.1% met or exceeding grade-level standards in math in 2025. For 8th Grade Reading, About 19% of Black students scored at or above the proficient level in reading, and NAEP also shows female students generally perform higher in reading than males in many states, including CA. Moreover, about 11% of Black students scored at or above the proficient level in math.

Supposedly, 90% of the revenue would go to healthcare, and 10% to K-12 public education. Who knows if this gets on the ballot, but Californians are probably stupid enough to support something like this. They also claim this is a one-time offer, which I hope Californians are not gullible enough to believe, because only an idiot would believe that this would be a one-time deal.

If Californians go for this, we should change the saying from ‘California Love’ to California Dumb.’ All we would need is a new producer because that beat is too good for a song about such a dumb electorate. The primary drum sample, which is the core drum break and rhythmic feel that provides that rolling, syncopated groove is the backbone of California Love, is from Woman to Woman by Joe Cocker. Dance Floor by Zapp gives it that funk texture. Finally, the Talkbox hook (“California… knows how to party”) is performed by Roger Troutman. I digress.

California is already a vast welfare state, developed around homelessness, drug addiction, and liberal identity politics, that spends billions on programs that only result in making progressive elites wealthy. Taxing billionaires sounds good to poor and dumb people because somehow they think that money will go back to them. It’s just going to end up in the pockets of the corrupt government and their associates.

When will the citizens ever learn? Like most progressives, the California variety have been brainwashed and are just an out-of-touch hivemind at this point. They will start with the billionaires, but it won’t stop there. Democrats put a switch on the desk that reads new tax. What do they do? They switch it on again next year, then one year becomes two. The Income Tax over a century ago, was slipped in the same way.

Next, they turn the knob, and it no longer says 5%. It says 6%, then 7%, and 8%. This is how it works. Additionally, all of these billionaires have already been taxed on their wealth, or as soon as they cash in their stock, it goes public, or they sell their company, they will be taxed on the money.

I also have an issue with them calling this a TAX. It can be better described as a private property/asset seizure. Once they do this, it will be your car, art, coin collection, furniture, and everything else a person can own and consider private property. My blood boils when you work your ass off and pay taxes, and these schemes are allowed to happen.

If the fraud observed in Minnesota (which I expect is happening across the nation), and the policy being proposed in California is approved, and becomes recurring, by design, it will lead to the destruction of all things America. This has nothing to do with taxation, rather a ploy to expand their control and expand the size and scope of the corrupt system that they’re running. This is why property right is vital for a free society to survive and thrive.

These Democrats have nothing to hang their hat on. They have no platform. They’re lost. They’re a drift. When millionaires and billionaires leave (capital flight is real), the working man picks up the tab (see the UK and France). They say it is to plug a deficit (mismanagement), which makes me ask, why should I think they would not run a deficit every year? This is what happens when government gets too big. It needs to keep growing to feed the politicians’ greed for control and power. I’m not even a millionaire, and I know that a Billionaire tax won’t fix the problem. Fix the fraud, etc., before raising any tax.

(ThyBlackMan.com) The Gulag Archipelago (1973) is one of those rare works of history that has proven its weight in gold. In my personal view, it is in a class of work that includes Alexis de Tocqueville’s classic work Democracy in America (1835), Civilization or Barbarism by Cheikh Anta Diop. (1991), Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond (1999), and The Negro Family: The Case for National Action, written by Daniel Patrick Moynihan (1965).

Now I am aware that nitpickers will nitpick my selections. Some will suggest that maybe the Moynihan Report is too short, or that Diop’s challenge of the idea that civilization originated exclusively in Europe or the Near East, using linguistics, archaeology, physical anthropology, historical texts, and cultural analysis, is too controversial. Likewise, others may ask how dare I include a book that some would say validates colonialism and racism, given that Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies, seeks to explain why some societies came to dominate others, not through racial or biological superiority, but through geography, environment, and historical contingency. Simply for attempting to answer the question: Why did Europeans conquer much of the world, rather than Africans, Native Americans, or Australians conquering Europe?

Equally, others may point I should have selected other text. I agree and have others, but of what I have read, these were the first to come to mind. I will look up a free PDF to provide a link, but I cannot waste time looking over my bookshelves to find titles to impress mutha fuckas I don’t know.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago is a monumental work that exposes the Soviet Union’s system of forced labor camps, known as the Gulag.

The book traces the arrest, interrogation, imprisonment, and degradation of millions of people under the Soviet regime from the Lenin era through Stalin’s rule. Rather than a conventional history, it is a hybrid of memoir, investigative reporting, and moral philosophy, drawing on Solzhenitsyn’s own imprisonment and the testimonies of more than 200 former prisoners. Solzhenitsyn describes how ordinary citizens (workers, soldiers, intellectuals, and party members) were swept into the Gulag through arbitrary accusations, coerced confessions, and show trials. He details the brutal realities of camp life: starvation, extreme cold, exhausting labor, beatings, informants, and the constant psychological pressure to betray others to survive.

Beyond documenting suffering, the book examines how totalitarian systems corrupt moral responsibility. Solzhenitsyn argues that evil is not confined to dictators or secret police but is enabled by widespread fear, obedience, and moral compromise throughout society. One of the book’s central themes is that the line between good and evil runs through every human heart, including those of victims and perpetrators alike.

When published in the West, The Gulag Archipelago shattered many illusions about Soviet communism, profoundly influencing Cold War thought and human rights discourse. It is widely regarded as one of the most important books of the 20th century for its role in exposing state terror and defending moral truth against ideological denial. It may be equally useful today to prepare oneself for what to expect under the new mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, and his hand-picked comrades, who are often described as socialist political zombies.

2026 in America begins with a communist being sworn in as mayor of New York on a Koran. At his inauguration, Mayor Zohran Mamdani committed to supplanting what he called “the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” I take this more than word play, but rather his genuine position on how to run government, and it isn’t very comforting.

There is a word that we all have that means the warmth of collectivism, and it is Communism. So, taking Mandami at his word, his goal is to replace the fragility of individualism with the warmth of communitarianism. He has made it clear that he desires to give voice to just how radical his intentions are. That means communist confiscation of private property by taxing private properties and taxing unrealized gains, so it is not affordable for the city government to strip away your private property.

Collectivism is the social, political, and philosophical idea that the group, rather than the individual, is the primary unit of value and responsibility. Its origins are ancient, but collectivism took its modern ideological form in the 19th century. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels argued that private property and individual competition alienate humans from their communal nature. They promoted collective ownership of the means of production. This philosophy later shaped the Soviet Union, Maoist China under Mao Zedong, and assorted socialist and nationalist movements worldwide.

Under Vladimir Lenin, early socialist collectivization led to the rapid central control of production and the elimination of private property. The results are well documented. From 1921-1922, grain requisitioning and bans on private trade collapsed agriculture, killing around 5 million people due to mass famine. To rule, violence and force were required. The Cheka conducted executions, hostage-taking, and mass arrests against peasants, clergy, and political opponents.

Independent unions, parties, and press were eliminated; dissent equated with treason, and uprisings (Tambov Rebellion) were suppressed with chemical weapons and mass reprisals. Thus, for collectivism to function, it had to be enforced through violence, which led to economic collapse and widespread death.

Under Joseph Stalin, forced collectivization and totalitarian state control resulted in absolute collectivist control of agriculture, labor, and thought. Private farms abolished; peasants herded into state-run collectives. Grain seizures continued even during crop failure. The Holodomor alone killed between 3 and 5 million, with total famine deaths across the USSR being around 8 million.

Millions labeled “kulaks” (often ordinary peasants), deported, imprisoned, or executed. In addition, tens of millions passed through forced-labor camps (Gulag labor camps), where millions died from starvation, exposure, and overwork. During the Great Terror (1936–1938), mass executions, show trials, and purges of party members, military officers, intellectuals, and civilians were practiced to maintain total psychological control. The net result of collectivism was a system of mass coercion, producing unprecedented peacetime death tolls and long-term societal trauma.

This is what one can anticipate if what he desires to do is accomplished. Mamdani was elected by a significant block of envious twits who hate their country. People don’t realize that, no matter how bad it gets, they are happy about any destruction to the US/West, and are too spiteful and vengeful to care about declining living standards. They love destroying as much as we love building – and it is easier to accomplish. Which is why they and Mandami are the perfect example of thinking you are far more intelligent than you actually are.

It isn’t enough that an Islamic Socialist rules what’s supposed to be our best city; the folks he has selected thus far are something out of a dime store weekly. Looking behind door number 1, we have Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s newly instated radical-left tenant advocate.

The 37-year-old Weaver, who has described homeownership as a “weapon of white supremacy,” and advocated for seizing “private property,” in 2021, stated that families “who are homeowners are, well, are gonna have a different relationship to property than the one we currently have.” She is certainly a certified loon and equally out of touch with reality. When questioned about her mother owning a million-dollar mansion in Tennessee, she started to cry, according to multiple reports. Watching Weaver talk on videos, even on mute, made my ears hurt. This lady is an actual racist communist lefty revolutionary in the flesh in charge of the housing department in America’s biggest city!

If this is not a sign of the future political orientation of the city, Mamdani has appointed Ramzi Kassem, who defended al-Qaeda terrorist Ahmed al-Darbi in court, as the city’s top attorney. All I can say is bend over New Yorkers, and get ready to embrace food lines, poverty, violence, and bloodshed that ‘collectivism’ always brings with it.

Collectivism is a cancer. True oppression begins when you judge people as part of groups instead of as individuals. The Constitution exists to limit the power of society over man. That is the foundation of America, and we must preserve that notion over everything else.

Sadly, the people of New York will have to wait until they see what free costs, and how their city goes to hell. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give anyone anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. So good luck with that.

When half of the people get the idea that they don’t have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

“The frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism” can only happen when the government forces its participation in private sales to cater to political opportunists linked to the government. Sounds like fascism to me if I may take Giovanni Gentile at his word. But it doesn’t surprise me. Democrats have been defrauding the government for decades, so it should be no shock to anyone that they are trying to steal your property and hard-earned money through extreme taxation, and even your right to challenge the government. They believe they are above reproach, and that is the biggest problem of all. See DC and San Francisco for additional reference.

It is also essential to note that Mamdani desires to reinstate protections of Jews in New York by ending the New York City anti-BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) campaign. On the first day in office, one of Mamdani’s first acts was to revoke the IHRA Antisemitism Definition, because, in his words, it impinges upon free speech.

There is also his position he presented on the capture of Venezuelan Dictator Nicolás Maduro. In a year of “No Kings” protests, now he and other Democratic Socialists are angry that a dictator was arrested, while at the same time promoting the idea that he should arrest Netanyahu if Netanyahu ever sets foot in New York City. Such illogic supports the contention that, every day, leftism becomes even more synonymous with delusion.

Mamdani and his ilk are professional ideological activists who are products of the Black Lives Matter movement. They are revolutionaries who wish to impose measures from the top down, because Collectivism only exists if it is imposed from above. It is the imposition of a set of anti-democratic, anti-individualist values that are at the heart of the American experiment that he vows to end.

Mamdani obviously doesn’t understand the Constitution. The US government has exactly TWO responsibilities enumerated in the Declaration of Independence: to protect our RIGHTS and protect our PROPERTY. The absolute most fundamental things that must be protected, that make our society functional, are our property rights. Without private property, without ownership being protected, then everything else falls apart. If the property you buy can just be taken from you, then why would anyone invest their money in property? And if people aren’t going to invest in property, then the economy collapses, not dips, not takes a good hit, it collapses, completely and totally.

Having no experience doing anything, Mamdani and his staff will soon learn that it’s not that easy to run a city government. It’s probably pretty easy to steal from it, but not to administer it. They simply operate on the fact that they love big government, Marxism, and Communism. If successful, they will turn the Big Apple into a Gulag Archipelago.

We may have to sacrifice New York City in the short term so that the rest of the country can see what could happen to them. The people of New York voted for this; now they must live with it.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Before I begin, I want to explain why I write as I do. The reason is multifaceted. First, I write how I speak and think – WYSIWYG – what you see is what you get. Just ask my students. Second, I have a ton of unique experiences that I should share in print before I pass. Lastly, I read a lot, and it stays with me. So I integrate all of the above in print, I pen. Add to this, I am a scientist, so I write my essays with the same detail as I do any of my scientific papers. With this out of the way, back to the topic.

The phrase “robbing Peter to pay Paul” means taking resources (usually money) from one source to cover a debt or expense somewhere else, without actually improving the overall situation. In other words, you’re just shifting a problem around rather than solving it.

From what I have been able to find and have read, the expression dates back to at least the 14th or 15th century, and it’s rooted in English religious and financial history. Some connect it to the two great churches of London: St. Peter’s at Westminster (Westminster Abbey) and St. Paul’s Cathedral in the City of London. King Edward VI (1547–1553) or earlier monarchs diverted funds from St. Peter’s to pay for repairs at St. Paul’s, literally robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Here in America, this saying can describe all that surrounds the management of major urban cities, the government shutdown, and the debate regarding the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). It is actually about taking from those who have to give to those who don’t, or otherwise, “I am taking from them to give to you.” This is democrat policy in a nutshell. No better example outside of New York and California is Chicago, which, through the policies of Brandon Johnson, has become the one that keeps on giving for political punditry.

I ran for mayor once in my city (Pop. 3200), lost by 14 votes. After the ballots had been counted I was up 106 votes. But before they were to confirm my victory, the city manager came out the back and said they forgot to count the absentee ballots. Over 100, not in envelopes (as required by law), and without signatures. Long story short, I lost my lead, lost the race, and did not receive a single absentee vote. I ran because the mayor had been in office since 1985. He was making a lot of money, for a job with a $1200 salary. I ran to combat mismanagement.

My platform was to find a way to computerize utility payments and get all of the warehouse developers in our community to pay for half of the utility bills of all city residents annually. Had mandatory open carry for all adults, but I don’t like mandates, plus that was half the city already. I also wanted to create a way for all residents to buy stock in the city so we could profit from future corporate ventures, but couldn’t figure how to do that shit. But after my challenge, things in my city started to change miraculously. Wish I could say the same for Chicago.

Chicago’s mismanagement of its fiscal responsibility to its citizens touches everybody. Mayor Brandon Johnson has announced an over $16 billion budget plan for 2026. It will depend on increased taxes on corporations to close a $1.2 billion shortfall, according to Johnson, which will offset the city from tax cuts by the Trump administration.

The mayor’s budget proposal centers around a corporate head tax. That is a tax on the biggest companies in the city based on how many employees they have. It’s something the city got rid of more than a decade ago, but now the Johnson wants to bring it back.

Chicago already taxes everything, including the small things, like Uber rides. Several city taxes are added for Uber riders. These include:

Chicago Ground Transportation Surcharge: For all rideshare trips in the City of Chicago, the Chicago Ground Transportation surcharge is $1.13 on UberX or UberXL trips or $0.53 on Pool rides.

Chicago Accessibility Surcharge: The City assesses a $0.10 per-trip surcharge on any non-wheelchair accessible vehicle trip. The funds are deposited into the City’s Vehicle Accessibility Fund.

Chicago Congestion Surcharge: For trips starting or ending in the Central Business District between 6 am and 10 pm on all days of the week, a congestion surcharge is applied for $1.50 per UberX and UberXL or $0.60 per Pool ride.

Chicago Special Venues Surcharge: A surcharge for trips to or from specific high-traffic locations like the airports, Navy Pier, and McCormick Place.

This is just a low-end example of progressive economic policy. Tax and spend, that’s all they know how to do. This is the stupidity saturated in progressive logic, as observed in Brandon Johnson’s proposed budget and plan for more taxes. The mayor has suggested in writing that companies with at least 100 employees pay $21 per employee each month in taxes. He calls it a community safety search charge. How dumb does a person have to be to tax companies so that they have less money to hire people? In fact, his new so-called head tax is literally a direct attack on employment. Essentially, Johnson is taxing companies for hiring people, on behalf of greasy, unemployed communist weirdo freaks.

This is why you should never trust a 50-plus-year-old with a Mohawk. They will misgovern the city, then chase out the tax base. Chicago Mayor Let’s Go, Brandon Johnson, is one joke of a mayor. Johnson went from “we’re not raising taxes” to “raising taxes is a good thing.” Johnson couldn’t run a garage sale. Businesses with 100-200 employees will all downsize to 99 employees, and open offices just outside the city. It will decrease tax revenues in the city more than the amount raised by the tax.

He thinks that cutting federal taxes messed up Chicago’s City budget? Makes perfect sense. If your city or state is reliant on federal funding to stay afloat, your state is failing or has failed. That’s a management problem for the Mayor, Governor, and representative. Johnson’s default setting is “It’s Trump’s fault” with zero accountability for his failed and failing policies. I am so sick of this idiot and other Dems talking about Trump’s tax cuts for the ultra-rich. I got more money back in my paycheck from Trump’s tax cut than I did in my annual raise, and sure ain’t ultra-rich.

Johnson spent tax dollars on illegals, and now he’s going to tax the people for his economic missteps. Chicago’s spending has been out of control for quite some time. Stop blaming Trump. Trump is not the one devoting Chicago’s resources to housing immigrants or Healthcare for non-citizens. Trump is not the one who inflated the salaries of city workers and employees in Chicago. Trump is not the one who is wasting funds with unnecessary construction projects that never even start, or necessary construction that went over the allotted budget in the first 3 days of being approved. The President has zero control over a city’s budget. Never has, and hopefully never will. That is solely in the hands of the Chicago city government, engaging in financial mismanagement, either via ignorance, stupidity, or corruption. You cannot blame a single man who has only been a politician for 10 years for 80 years of poor governance.

Normal people, unlike many progressive politicians like Johnson, see cutting taxes as a GOOD thing. This highlights the conflict. The spending by these political jurisdictions isn’t because of a lack of tax revenue but because of overspending. Normal folks understand they can only spend what they have. This contrasts with liberals, who believe the only solution to any fiscal problem, when discussing a budget, is to raise taxes. This is clear in Mayor Johnson’s policy, which is to raise taxes because Trump has provided tax cuts. So, his approach is to raise taxes instead of cutting spending.

We regular folks understand that the point of cutting taxes is so that people can decide what they want to do with their money. Letting people keep their money and deciding what to do with it is probably the best use of the money rather than giving it to the government. This is another reason why they are broke.

These liberal democrat clown shows that get voted into office and do a terrible job, show us that majority rule and populism can have severe consequences due to a poorly educated population. They argue that the rich having more than you is why you don’t have as much, or why you’re suffering, or why your life is not as good as you believe it should be, because somebody else has more than you. So we got to take from them and give it to you.

Joy Reid had the nerve to say that “When [her] mother came from Guyana, she realized it is not a land of opportunity for people like us.” Reid was making over $3 million annually. The average salary in Guyana is around $5,000. Both of her parents came from impoverished Africa and graduated from the University of Iowa. Her father was an engineer, and her mother was a professor and a nutritionist. They achieved the American dream. Just imagine how much more successful she could have been in Guyana without all the racism. Joy Reid is living proof you can get rich off the American Dream just by whining about how bad the American Dream is. Only in the USA can ungrateful millionaires build their whole brand on hating the country that made them.

The same is true for Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Nancy Pelosi. Bernie Sanders talks badly about the rich. He’s rich! Nancy Pelosi is rich, very rich! All Sanders does is complain about rich people, while he counts the millions of dollars in his bank account. He has never held an actual job outside of elected office, yet has still managed to accrue multiple multi-million dollar homes. Bernie, AOC, and Pelosi like to complain about the problem but will never admit that they are the problem. The “Tax breaks for the rich” they like to complain about are tax cuts for them. They all took office dirt poor and are now worth tens of millions.

They continually yell “tax breaks” for the rich but give zero proof. This is why they enact the policies they do, because for them to stay in office, they have to buy votes, and there is no better way to do this than by promising numbskulls and birdbrains, free shit.

By birdbrains, I mean people who aren’t very intelligent, without any understanding of capitalism, and do not want to work hard. All they have been taught and know is that the government should just give things to them just because.

This is why they focus on illegal immigrants; they benefit from government assistance as well. The problem is that Democrats don’t understand that having a welfare state, in concert with illegal immigration, is not sustainable. But this logic is secondary to their aim, which is to create a new voting bloc. They know that it helps them get votes. Naturally, when illegal immigrants are living off the government, they’re going to be incentivized to at least try to vote for individuals who are going to maintain that. If a man from Guyana can enter the country, falsely claim to be a U.S. citizen, become the superintendent of Iowa’s largest school district, and get registered to vote in Maryland as a Democrat. How many others are doing the same? In California, most voters do not need to show an ID to vote, and it has an estimated illegal immigrant population of over 2 million.

This is the same logic progressives employed to get Obamacare passed. This is the clearest form of robbing Peter to pay Paul. It is as if they have never considered that maybe the reason we’re the richest country in the world is because we DON’T provide free healthcare. I would venture to posit that we wouldn’t have a housing, healthcare, or wage crisis if we deported the 30 million people who came here illegally. But no, they need to give more free stuff, and if they do not get their way, they take their ball home and close down the government.

You know you’re dealing with a typical moron when you watch a democrat filibuster being called a Republican shutdown. This shutdown is all about Democrats fighting for subsidies for Obamacare, which was supposed to make healthcare affordable. Sneaking in 1.5 trillion in spending isn’t a “clean continuation” while having further debate. Democrats deliberately timed the funding to expire at the end of 2025. They want DEI returning, illegals getting benefits, alphabet wish lists, and resuming money laundering to bogus foreign projects; basically, they are trying to reverse everything Trump has done that people voted for.

These subsidies were added during COVID. They were unnecessary, but they added them anyway. If Obamacare did what it promised it would do, if it would make health care more affordable, why do we need the subsidies in the first place? Why do you need the subsidies if health care was made affordable by Obamacare?

The Republicans aren’t talking because they have already stated that paying for illegal alien healthcare and upkeep as well as sending money to other countries for ridiculous reasons are non-starters. While Democrats are using health care as a scare tactic while demonizing RFK Jr. and the MAHA movement.

Democrats are admitting, as they beg for more subsidies, that Obamacare didn’t work, that it failed to make healthcare more affordable. Since it is increasing in cost, all they are saying is that they will shut down the government, for more government money, to subsidize the health care system even more.

More government is never the answer. The government has never and will never make money. Progressives think government healthcare is a good solution, but the reality is that everything the government touches turns to crap. What I don’t understand is, Trump has only been in office for nine months; healthcare was on their watch. They had 4 years to fix health care under Biden. Instead they spent trillions on dumb shit.

All they have to do is vote to open the government. The republicans have 54 votes. To open the government requires 60 votes, and every Republican voted for it. So that tells me the Democrats don’t care about opening the government. This isn’t difficult.

Everything really wrong with America since the year 2000, has been executed, encouraged and condoned by progressives and Liberals. We are only in this mess because of Obamacare. Why are premiums going up every single year? Why did healthcare get more expensive if Obamacare was supposed to make healthcare affordable? This, and because the party in power refuses to fund healthcare and benefits for the uninvited. Here is a thought, perhaps we shouldn’t use money meant for citizens on non citizens.

All of this is out of whack. What progressives are doing on Capitol Hill, in New York, Chicago, and California is what mismanagement would look like if it could see itself in a mirror. Tax and spend, that’s all they know how to do. This is the stupidity saturated in progressive logic.

We are in the front row, watching the Destratification of America. The same for states with the highest individual overall tax burden (Hawaii, New York, Vermont: California, Maine, Connecticut, Minnesota, Illinois, and New Jersey. So many of these Democrat cities/states have such incompetent leadership, it’s remarkable. Obviously, running a city isn’t easy, but this is like someone with absolute zero financial literacy being the CFO of a company. What’s even more remarkable is that the people are voting for this over and over and over again.

In Chicago, Johnson pumps taxpayer money into public education so he and all his buddies can steal it. The more money they spend on education, the worse it gets, and for the richest country in human history, their education system is severely lacking. Teachers couldn’t run a one float parade, and it appears, have no concept of how money is made and spent.

Rob Peter to pay Paul politics, right? It’s very easy to say, “Hey, you know, all your problems in life are because somebody has more than you.” I reckon progressives want as many people to vote as possible because it’s very easy to sell, when your policy is to raise taxes and give away free shit. Looking back on it, glad I didn’t become mayor.

(ThyBlackMan.com) I am pretty sure the “End of Democracy” is when nobody is allowed to disagree with you. Today, I was reminded of this the hard way when I was made aware of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I have not had this feeling, or felt like this, since Thursday, April 4, 1968. It was a day in my hometown of Memphis, Momma called home from St. Joseph Hospital, where she worked, to tell us that Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed while standing on a balcony of the Lorraine Motel. I was going on six years old at the time.

Kirk being shot over having different political views is unacceptable. All people, especially Americans, Democrats, and Republicans alike, should agree on this. A house divided cannot stand. America is so hostile politically that it’s slowly dying from within.

An American-loving patriot has been murdered and taken away from the world. He no longer needs to worry about us; we’ll handle it from here. He was becoming increasingly popular, which I suspect some people found unacceptable. In their view, he served as a barrier against mass indoctrination. This situation will not end well because freedom of speech was attacked today.

Kirk was a great communicator and a deep thinker who respected everyone he debated. He should have been President in 20 years. Instead, they shot a man who said, “Come talk to me.” They murdered a peaceful man, just to the right of a Clinton democrat, and a moderate conservative. I hope it was worth it.

They did this to hurt the Conservatives, the Republicans, and the Right; instead, they just hurt themselves. They turned Charlie Kirk into a martyr. He will always be remembered for what the left did to him, the reason behind his death, and for telling the truth. This proved that everything Charlie Kirk was saying about them was absolutely accurate.

Anyone who can associate with people such as these heartless people needs to get a much better social group. Progressive liberalism is fascism. Have an opinion that differs from theirs, and they kill you. I am done with the left and all their hate, violence, and evil. Charlie was a voice of reason and hope for the next generation. God is welcoming him home, and I believe that. It’s just that we still need Charlie’s voice here to save our young people.

I am beyond disgusted with these left-leaning politicians calling for political violence against other Americans because they have differing views from them. From their vantage point, they think they silenced him. They didn’t silence him. They made him immortal. His message will be that much louder now.

The left declared war on the country when they attempted to assassinate Donald Trump. The murder of Charlie Kirk is a continuation of that war. They will not stop until there’s a violent communist revolution in this country. They want us all dead. There is a time for peace and love and a time for judgment and retribution. I don’t want to feel like this, but I do. They want us to live in fear. Without fear, they have absolutely NOTHING.

Charlie warned us that free speech was under attack, and he was murdered for it. This means many, including the corporate media, have Charlie’s blood on their hands; this wasn’t just the person who did it; it was all of them! They just lost the moderate right. They have lost their party for generations, and we, the people, are angry.

This was a guy willing to engage in discourse with those with opposing views. He was assassinated because he wanted to debate people who had different views from his. Absolutely horrific. If this doesn’t turn your stomach at this senseless crime, there is something wrong. He was killed for a difference of opinion, for his First Amendment rights, and the left is celebrating it. That’s all you need to know. This is the saddest thing I’ve witnessed in a long time.

The left is mentally unwell, and they’ve been that way for at least a decade now. The democratic party feeds the derangement and will no doubt continue to do so until they start taking losses. The communists murdered over 100 million people during the twentieth century. That is who they are. Never forget. And the left-wing Democrats are still gonna keep fear-mongering and calling the right-wing Nazis.

He was never confrontational. Never called people names. I was always grateful for people’s honesty. What person on the left repeatedly sits down and talks to people on the right at campuses where they disagree? He was a good dude. You know a person has lost the argument when they resort to killing the one speaking the truth.

They, or those who wanted to silence Charlie Kirk, also wanted to send a message to people like me. And that’s to stop folks from hearing my views and opinions, and sharing my beliefs. Never stop giving conservative viewpoints. Charlie wouldn’t want them to silence you and us, we the people. God bless Charlie and his family.

I have never met him, but I watched him throughout his career, and I find it difficult to stop thinking about what a great loss of a noble soul this is. Kirk was the face of honest, open debate: the one aspect this country desperately needs to bring back. A courageous man is gone, murdered for his political beliefs and for defending ideals of freedom against left-wing oppression. They couldn’t debate him. They couldn’t shame him. They couldn’t scare him. So they decided to do what Democrats do best to people they don’t like. This is a turning point in this country.

So when are we going to start having all these people and the democrat politicians who have been calling for violence for years arrested? The FBI needs to take every leftist threat seriously and charge these people, because one cannot coexist with those who believe you’re evil and want to murder you. And you can best believe and trust me when I say, I am at my turning point, and I will never be silenced.

So my apologies, no jokes today, and I didn’t feel like making anyone laugh at the moment.

RIP Captain Kirk – GODSPEED

(ThyBlackMan.com) My regular readers know I love old words, mostly words that were used frequently in daily dialogue between the years 1820 to 1920. This came about from reading novels of that period and watching motion pictures referencing said times. I cannot place my finger on it, but the character lodged and stationed in words like Flapdoodle (nonsense), Hornswoggle (to swindle or trick), and Lickspittle (suck-up, azz-kisser, or fckboy), just thrills me, equally as describing former President Biden as a Quockerwodger and addlepated.

However, one of my favorites has to be Milksop. Maybe slightly older in origin, Milksop is a noun used to describe a weak, effeminate, or cowardly man; someone “soft” and lacking in courage or firmness. I first came across it while reading Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1 (Act II, Scene 1) in an 11th-grade language arts class. You know, when the teacher makes everyone open the book, and she calls on you to read out loud, just to make sure you’re following along? Long story short, the Hostess Nell calls Falstaff a “whoreson little valiant villain, you milksop!” as part of a volley of comic insults.

So when Shakespeare or his characters say “milksop”, it’s a contemptuous jab at someone seen as spineless, pampered, or unmanly, a soft piece of bread in milk instead of a tough, hearty figure. In a simple phrase, a bich azz mutha fucka. I cannot think of a better noun than this to describe all of these folks protesting against reducing crime and beautifying the Nation’s Capital.

It’s been a week since President Donald Trump federalized law enforcement in Washington, D.C. But just when you thought democrats couldn’t sink any lower, liberals hit the streets protesting against what they consider a crackdown on poor people and targeting “black and brown” folks. They were complaining about jeans last week. I wonder what they will be crying about next week.

LA Mayor Karen Bass, in a recent interview, openly admitted this, asserting that President Trump’s crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C., mainly impacts “black and brown youth.” My question for her or anyone else in this position is, Why does it mainly impact black and brown youth? Specifically. Why would she say such if she did not already know that black and brown youth are the cause of crimes in D.C., without actually telling me?

To start, in 2024, Washington, D.C. saw a homicide rate of 27.3 per 100,000 residents. That was the fourth-highest homicide rate in the country. This is nearly six times higher than New York City and also higher than Atlanta, Chicago, and Compton. If Washington, D.C. were a state, it would have the highest homicide rate of any state in the nation.

The reality is that it is mostly the black and brown youth of DC who are causing all the crime in the D.C. area, and people are too afraid to speak up and point the malcontents out. Around 89% of victims in D.C are male, and 94% of those are Black, with more than 60% of homicide victims being between 18 and 34 years old.

As of this far in 2025, data from January 1 through June 26 show dozens of kids and teenagers have been shot in DC, according to recent police data. Since June, reports show that 44 people younger than 18 years old were shot, with 7 of them dying.

I will accept that many of the higher homicide rates are in red states like Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio, and Louisiana. But it is also true that these cities have been run by democrats (mainly black democrats) for decades, and that mayors, DAs, and police chiefs have more control over their cities than governors. Jackson, Mississippi (Since 1901 – 124 years), Memphis, Tennessee (Since 1968 – 57 years), New Orleans (Since 1872 – 153 years), and St. Louis, Missouri (Since 1949 – 76 years). They have also asked why Trump doesn’t do the same for these places, as if they are ignorant of the fact that those aren’t federal districts. However, if their point is that the Republican governors should take control of the Democratic-mismanaged crime cesspools, their terms would be acceptable to me.

Since 47 assumed office, each action he has taken has been described as racist, fascist, bigoted, and wrong. What is the issue with reducing crime and removing the homeless from the streets of D.C.? Trump stated he was going to do this on his campaign trail. This is our Nation’s Capital, where, in the past,” families would take a vacation to go there and feel safe and secure. I just cannot imagine hating the President so much that you try to justify and normalize being mugged. Crime isn’t normal. It should never be tolerated. Do these folks believe getting mugged and carjacked is acceptable and normal?

Another thing I have observed is that most of these so-called protestors are white, white women in particular. The white liberals in Ohio are even protesting. I wonder how many of these people complaining about what is going on in DC stay in DC?

I suggest that if they want to protest and not to virtue signal, then speak out about D.C.’s public education. According to Glassdoor, the median total pay (including bonuses and extra compensation) for a DCPS teacher is approximately $91,000 per year, with the median base salary around $87,000. Yet, in ELA (English Language Arts), only 34% of all students across DCPS and public charter schools met or exceeded expectations on the CAPE assessment. Math proficiency was even lower at 23%, with the achievement gaps between black and white students remaining alarmingly wide. There is a 59 percentage point gap in ELA and a 63 percentage point gap in Math.

According to earlier PARCC-based data (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers), only 17% of black students in grades 3–8 met expectations in both math and ELA. In contrast, 70–79% of white students met those same expectations. For black students in public charter schools, 21% met ELA standards, 13% of DCPS black students, and 22% met math standards, versus 12% in DCPS.

But protesting against this would make too much sense. Liberal policy has traditionally become so bad that it has conditioned many to expect disorder under Democrat rule. It’s so common that some have come to accept it as part of life. Progressive policy has turned these places into war zones where black and brown kids die in masses. They have decided that law enforcement in minority communities is racist. To keep it a thow-wow, the reason so many black teens and younger in America display maladaptive behavior is because of dysfunctional families that lack the guidance of fathers in the home, and Progressive policies that have narrated that having police in the black community is a racist act.

It makes no sense. Enforcing the law is not murdering kids; the opposite is, yet they proclaim they are protecting them. Federal officers are sacrosanct. They should never be touched. Yet these protestors have the nerve to ask for the names and badge numbers of law enforcement officers, but news media will not show their faces, and officials will not even release the names of people involved in violent acts.

A few days ago, at the Navy Yard station, Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) stopped a 28-year-old for fraudulent use of a Kids Ride Free card. She was arrested by fare enforcement, and now they are trying to turn her into the next Leftist martyr. A recent post by the woman arrested is presented below. Some things never change.

But when a 17-year-old black teen was robbed and murdered on a Green Line Metro train in May 2023 in Washington, D.C., none of these protestors claiming to stand up for black and brown lives were nowhere to be found. Now, the man accused of killing him has had his charges dropped by prosecutors because he was locked in the D.C. jail for more than two years, awaiting a trial that was set to start this month.

These people enjoy protest/riot cosplaying, but cleaning up crime for regular people, not so much. This is the left in a nutshell. And they’re so impassive and kookie that they don’t see it. This is not just regarding D.C. Politicians around the nation who represent blue states are getting in on the action, of overtly displaying their affection for criminals over victims.

A while back, in June, New York Governor Kathy Hochul testified before the House Oversight Committee. Before this, her office released a memo amplifying that she was resolute in working with ICE to remove criminals from the state. It read:

“There is no sanctuary in New York for people who commit crimes. New York is committed to cracking down on gang members and violent criminals, and State officials cooperate with ICE and CBP in many circumstance,” Hochul’s office wrote in a memo before her testimony to the House Oversight Committee defending New York’s sanctuary policy earlier this year.

However, after 47 advanced his D.C. directive, Hochul pardoned thirteen individuals, one of whom was an illegal immigrant convicted of manslaughter as a teenager. According to The New York Times, Somchith Vatthanavong, who shot a man during a pool hall confrontation in Brooklyn, was pardoned last month by Hochul. It should be noted that she has no problem condemning Trump’s use of the National Guard, although Kathy Hochul put the National Guard in NYC subways.

No matter how one puts it, across the nation, crime is out of control and, in many cases, being enabled by liberal governmental policy. An illegal immigrant once set for deportation under the first Trump administration, and allowed to re-enter under the Biden Administration, actions resulted in the death of three people in Florida recently.

Harjinger Singh was driving “recklessly and without regard for the safety of others on the road” when he attempted to make an illegal U-turn, which resulted in a minivan crashing into the side of the commercial semi-truck. Two passengers inside the minivan died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the vehicle was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

According to Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill):

California Democrats Luis Alejo, Norma Torres, Roger Hernández, Nancy Skinner, Ricardo Lara, and Jerry Brown helped illegal alien Harjinder Singh to get a driver’s license before he made an illegal U-turn and killed 3 innocent people in Florida.

Those were the elected officials in California who introduced, sponsored, and signed Assembly Bill 60, which was inaccurately named the “Safe and Responsible Driver Act,” and which gave a driver’s license to illegal alien Harjinder Singh, who later made an illegal U-turn in Florida, and killed 3 innocent people in another vehicle.

Why is it so difficult to acknowledge that crime is bad across the country, and in some places more than others? Just this past week in Nashville, police say a man, Mohamed Mohamed, 39, repeatedly raped an unconscious woman on the front steps of a church so brutally that she later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

This past weekend in Chicago (Aug 15-18), at least two people were killed and 23 others were hurt in shootings, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 6 to 49. The weekend before (Aug 8 – 10), at least 34 shot, 5 fatally, in shootings across the city.

A Las Vegas 16-year-old who shot and killed his father during a fight over electronics evaded prison time when a judge only sentenced him to probation after he pleaded to voluntary manslaughter. District Judge Tierra Jones ordered probation for Peterson, ignoring the prosecution’s request that the convicted teen spend at least six years behind bars.

Thiago Rentz, a 35-year-old Harvard researcher from Brazil, was watching a movie at an AMC theater in Boston when, was beaten and bloodied by a gang of teens after asking them to quiet down several times.

It is happening everywhere, it is just more concentrated in a small area like D.C. Protestors, mainly white, in a city where about 40 percent of the residents are black, hardly mention that the individuals arrested during the enhanced enforcement initiated by Trump were arrested during the commission of a crime. Notice that not one of these folks ever says that these guys were innocent; rather, they are just mad that they’re black and got arrested.

The doublethink is wild. Pretty sure prosecuting violent crime isn’t the same as locking someone up purely for how they were born. But I love to see them cope and seethe, because it only makes them look even dumber. All they do is yell fascist. How is arresting criminals Fascism? They would not be able to define fascism with a dictionary after reading Giovanni Gentile’s “The Doctrine of Fascism.” Truth is that within the framework laid by the nation’s founding fathers, Fascism cannot exist because this constitutional republic was designed to specifically prevent dictators. They have been so privileged that being held accountable is like Germany in the 1940s in their small brains.

My question is how the government is taking over an area THAT IS ALREADY THEIRS: Washington, D.C. stands for Washington, District of Columbia. The “Washington” part is named after George Washington, the first U.S. President, and “D.C.” stands for “District of Columbia”, which is the area designated as the nation’s capital. The District of Columbia is not a state, but a federal district under the control of the U.S. Congress.

The problem is not 47; the problem is D.C. local government. When your “Chief of Police” was the Chief Equity Officer, that’s where the problem is. Who protests against safer streets? If this incompetent mayor and that clown of a police chief were doing their jobs, Trump would not have to do it for them.

Do these people realize they are advocating for continued violent crime? I guess lowering crime, as opposed to altering statistics, is anathema to them. Crashing out over criminals is crazy work. You can’t shoot the criminal, and you can’t arrest the criminal. What the hell do these idiots want?

A better use of their “protest time” would be for them to look in the mirror first, because ignoring black on black crime is true fascism and racism. But my fault, stopping black on black crime, is racist.

If you desire for your voice to be heard, then speak out for justice for 3-year-old Honesty Cheadle, who was shot and killed while sitting in her family’s car as they drove home from July 4 parties around 3 a.m. on July 5. Speak out for 17-year-old Zoey Kelley-Hickman, also killed on July 4. So do not protest on behalf of criminals; stand up for victims. This is not about due process. These people were arrested, not convicted. Due process begins with arrest. If you don’t want to get arrested, then don’t break the law. Plain and simple.

We saw what soft-on-crime policy was like for the last 30 years and what it’s done to black communities. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but midnight basketball doesn’t work.

From city to city, teens are allowed to run wild without repercussions, and now they complain that it takes the National Guard to stop it. Kids had kids in 2010. Now those kids are wild. Here are just a few recent examples.

In May, a group brutally beat two girls in a Queens park with a baseball bat —and shaved the head of one of the victims.

In New Jersey, hundreds of youths descended upon a mall for a meet-up planned on TikTok, which resulted in a massive brawl.

An Ohio Chick-fil-A location posted a “teen chaperone policy” on Facebook declaring that anyone 17 and under “must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone” over 21, adding that “unaccompanied minors may be asked to leave.”

A Brooklyn Target banned kids under 18 from the store in March of this year.

Kroger just announced it will be closing stores in Washington State due to crime and “a steady rise in theft.”

All the people complaining should not be allowed to ever call the police for help. They sit in their caves watching TV and are whipped into a frenzy of hatred by propagandists. They are not smart enough to realize they are the target of the propaganda and have fallen into a rabbit hole. We’re getting close to Kristallnacht right here in the USA, and you thought only Russians and Germans could fall for this, I shall remind you that Propaganda is a powerful force that goes largely unrecognized here.

These protests merely confirm that Democrats are generally miserable people who suck joy out of everything. They make up a big part of our mental health crisis. If they’re not throwing paint on Masterpieces, they are screaming and threatening people walking their dogs in the park. It’s a mental illness. These clowns are just so insufferable. All these protesters are “not” residents of DC. They should be removed from the District and not be allowed any access to any parts of the District. They should be added to the arrests being made there.

Such behavior from my vantage point is produced by weak, effeminate, or cowardly white folks, milksops for lack of a better word. If you don’t believe me, next time you see them in the news, compare the number of white protesters to the number of blacks in a city 40 percent black.

(ThyBlackMan.com) When I was in graduate school, one of my mentors (Dr. Carson Lee, RIP), gave me a copy of a book written by Jonathan Kozol titled “Death at an Early Age: The Destruction of the Hearts and Minds of Negro Children in the Boston Public Schools.” The book is a powerful firsthand account of systemic racism, neglect, and educational inequality in Boston’s public schools during the 1960s.

Kozol, a white teacher, recounts his experience teaching in a predominantly black, underfunded elementary school in Boston. He describes how, at the time, black students were given inferior materials and taught by unmotivated, often racist teachers, using a curriculum that devalued black culture, history, and identity. He observed that teachers and administrators enforced rigid discipline and conformity rather than nurturing critical thinking or emotional growth. Kozol was fired for reading Langston Hughes’ poems to his class.

During the years he taught, systemic racism was a real thing. Today, anything from a blue jeans commercial to retail store displays is considered to be a representation of systemic racism.

Writing out of emotions rooted in anger, the initial title for this essay was: Fck Free College Mane, Fix K-12. But understanding my disdain for the habitual use of foul language in public, I decided to change it. Either way, one can sniff the purpose of these words and sentences to follow. All of which happened after wondering how Frederick Douglass would feel, and what he would think about learning that not a single student could pass math and reading in a school that bears his name (ranks in the bottom 50% of all schools in Maryland for overall test scores)?

“In 2023, state test results for students in Baltimore City Schools indicated that 40% of high schools did not have any students score proficient in math. Not a single student. This represented 13 Baltimore City high schools, although Baltimore City Schools received $1.6 billion from taxpayers, the most ever. They also received $799 million in COVID-19 relief funding from the federal government.”

“Baltimore City’s Public Schools’ math scores were the lowest in the state, with just 7 percent of third through eighth graders proving to be proficient in math. In total, 23 Baltimore City schools reported no students who tested proficient in math. This included eight elementary schools, three Middle/High schools, and two Elementary/Middle schools.”

Why and how did this become acceptable? People are quick to go outside and protest and riot on behalf of criminal illegal immigrants, but are completely copacetic with our failing schools, and how they fail students. People are more interested in the ridiculousness of “free college tuition for everybody” than taking the time to consider that grades K through 12 are working effectively to get kids to university, who cannot read or do basic math. Schools in America aren’t even for learning anymore; they are just places where you go to fight and watch fights. It would not surprise me one bit if the average government public school had more than 4 fights every day.

The educational outcomes of Baltimore are replicated across the nation. In Chicago:

“…during the 2021-2022 school year, 33 Chicago Public Schools had zero students who met grade-level expectations in math. Moreover, 22 schools had no students proficient in reading, resulting in a total of 55 schools where not a single student was proficient in either subject.”

“It has been reported that as of 2023-2024, approximately 31% of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system students in grades 3 through 8 achieved proficiency in English Language Arts. In mathematics, about 19% of students reached proficiency. For 11th-grade students, proficiency rates are lower. In the 2023-2024 school year, only 22.4% of 11th graders met reading proficiency standards, and 18.6% achieved proficiency in math.”

If the average person could peer into a classroom or school in the U.S. on any given weekday, they would probably think they were watching a National Geographic special. When a kid or teacher thinks that they have to fight or stay strapped just to go to school safely, then something is wrong.

The “Leave No Child Behind” act ruined the entire education system, and added way more leniency to ignorance. Instead of being taught what to do properly, kids are pushed even further into grades with topics brand new to them, when in the grade before, they were already struggling. It has had a disproportionate impact on poor and minority schools. First, schools in high-poverty areas were more likely to be labeled failing, and the policy made no room for adequately addressing the root causes of achievement gaps. In addition, its ‘one-size-fits-all approach’ did not consider differences between schools, districts, or states, yet still applied uniform standards regardless of local context or capacity.

Common Core was no better. Unfortunately, Common Core isn’t about truly knowing the answer or the material. It’s about demonstrating a willingness to follow directions. Too many in public government schools lack a foundation in logic and have no method for distinguishing verifiable truth. or baseless assertions in a reliable manner.

In the U.S., Education is gradually losing its value for the students it’s meant to support. The school system changes incredibly slowly; meanwhile, the way children are raised evolves every year. As a result, 90% of kids in 20 years won’t be able to access the same education we received through our current system. Schools don’t focus on students’ strengths; instead, they only aim to improve weaknesses and eliminate options. School started to decline when vocational instruction was removed and turned into a pipeline for colleges.

The problem is these kids aren’t learning critical thinking or problem-solving skills. On top of that, having an addiction to one’s phone diminishes one’s attention span and increases irritability because their brains are wired for constant dopamine hits. Having an entire generation of people with an inability to focus on the physical world around them is going to have some very drastic consequences, especially with AI on the rise.

Kids unable to tell what time it is when looking at a clock with hands is hilarious if true. The main problems are that we don’t know what world to prepare them for, because that world is always 13 years into the future for each kid, and gamification/curriculum choice doesn’t overcome timeless problems with attention and perseverance. The world is difficult to predict but moves so slowly that it’s still boring, like school, and unlike a social media feed.

It’s one thing to meet students where they’re at to a certain degree, it’s another if the solution doesn’t lead to them becoming better informed or more capable of critical thinking isn’t encouraged, nor are students prompted to step outside their comfort zones. The most glaring example of this is the decline of reading among students; I would give up most of what we currently do in education just to see kids read for fun, let alone for information. Curricula need to be restructured to prioritize reading and writing. Additionally, designing education around the job market has historically been a losing strategy: the market isn’t very interested in critical thinking, especially when it results in workers who can advocate for themselves and their peers. This is a major reason why smaller liberal arts state colleges are struggling financially: they aren’t seen as sufficiently useful to corporations or donors, and so cutting their funding has become all too common.

Unfortunately, many students are being taught by teachers who were promoted regardless of what they learned; they go to college and are given degrees, and it’s a vicious circle of insanity. About 21% of Americans can not read, with 54% of Americans reading at a 6th-grade level. No child is left behind, because they get pushed through and find themselves behind the eight ball, they are in jail or knocked up, waiting for the check to come, living off the state. Kids who aren’t proficient should not be moved up to the next grade, but school systems continue to pass them on.

And don’t say this about the loot. American school funding is nearly the highest in the world. The average teacher salary in California is about $95,160 annually, with per-student spending of around $22,600 per year. The more money we allocate to education, the more administrators are hired and given raises. When you try to take action against this, you’re called anti-union or, humorously, anti-education—though that’s not a genuine stance—yet people buy into it.

If you complain about it being the teacher’s job or the school’s job, you are condemning your kids to a future of ignorance and failure. Parents have to take accountability for the success of their children because schools will continue to pass kids assembly line style. These classrooms have around 40 students. It is babysitting, not learning. And these kids’ votes will count just as much as yours one day. Let that sink in, because when you focus more on being a victim and pushing equity, don’t be surprised when kids are not up to standards.

I attended school in the 1960s and 1970s, when there were no such things as school shootings. Mom was part of the PTA, and my parents and other family members worked during the day and attended parent-teacher meetings for me at night (Back then, it was a social event). My experience showed me that good teachers can rarely overcome bad parenting, and good parents can always overcome bad teaching. The modern U.S. School system is designed to crush curiosity, because curious people question things. The system is flawed and needs reform so badly.

If we want to address this before it is too late, we have to end Teacher Unions. The Teacher Union is all about money and has nothing to do with teaching children.

Meanwhile, China is educating its children on geometry, Statistics, calculus, and physics starting from late primary school. We’re done, because kids without an education become adults in minimum wage jobs. At least U.S. public school students can tell you all about pride, racism, and gender issues, and can tell you all the lyrics of the rap-crap-rot music they hear 24-7.

Why are Black people not shouting about bad K-12 schools as loudly as they protest the end of Affirmative Action? The environment in the schools is out of control. The majority of students today are neglected by their parents, addicted to substances, and barely participate in class, yet the schools just push them through. They also get away with staying out of class, dressing inappropriately, and deplorable behavior. The root of the problem is a lack of accountability on both sides: the parents and the schools.

Sadly, people have been conditioned to not be ashamed of being dumb as a rock anymore. This is social engineering, and it makes it even worse because the average person doesn’t realize that the problem isn’t just smartphones, rather that schools teach kids what to think versus how to think. Everyone gets a trophy, am I right?

All teachers need to go back to oral exams, public presentations, and pencil-and-paper assessments. Teachers who fail to demand this fail as teachers and need to quit and find a safe space to cry about scary AI. Small changes are no longer effective because the world is changing faster than schools can keep up with, all while still having a fundamentally flawed system based on memorization of information that is now readily available with AI. They need to stay with the emphasis on the “three Rs” that educated all the baby boomers in the 50s and 60s, and at costs that we could afford. Teachers are teachers, not policemen, not disciplinarians. That’s on us, parents. Take your kid to a library for a real book. If you can’t even turn the page of a real book, there’s something wrong.

The appalling lack of discipline, unchecked bratty behavior, and indifference here have nothing to do with a broken system and everything to do with a culture obsessed with entertainment, instant gratification, and self-centeredness. There are no short-cuts to mastery, even with the help of technology.

I am a college professor. I have taught at the university level for approaching 40 years. Each year, the students coming into class are less able to do college-level work. To my surprise, the home-schooled students were better at studying, but not as informed about scientific methods.

So now in 2025, we are blaming lack of funding, inadequate resources, teacher burnout, and conspiracies, with few people questioning whether well-intentioned people brought about the demise of the education system and produced new generations of adults with poor literacy and numeracy skills, never mind the skills for critical thinking.

Mind you, they’re graduating these kids into society, and that is the school system’s fault. However, we cannot ignore the influence of the culture in which the students are raised and the low-quality parenting they receive. This has brought us to the point of creating (I think intentionally) a mindset, making children think that they “don’t need an education if I’m going to end up in prison anyway.”

One day in class, I passed out copies of the original versions of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Most of my students had trouble reading these founding documents because they are in cursive. Now you know why many schools no longer teach cursive. Remove the ability to read, and the ideas die. The quality of education has gone down so much.

We need to fix K-12 education with the quickness because it is designed and implemented to disable and warp the minds of all who enter its doors. There were few, if any, Aleysha Oritzs in my day who graduated from Hartford Public High School with honors and attended the University of Connecticut, despite not being able to read or write. Face it, anyone in their right mind would know a 15-year-old who can’t do basic arithmetic, but who will swear and argue that there are over 50 genders, is problematic. They teach kids that math is “racist” and then are surprised they can’t do math. This generation is growing up to be psychologically disturbed, emotionally fragile, academically challenged, and easy to manipulate. This is what happens when you do diversity hiring over merit-based hiring.

Education starts at home. If you’re not having conversations with your child and monitoring their TV and device time, they will not be ready to learn. Otherwise, bring azz whuppings back 2025.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Been a while, my apologies. Had to drive my daughter back to university for the fall in Virginia, and daughters are way more complicated than sons. Add to this getting prepared to teach this fall and working on a screenplay, I had to rewire my reaction from right-brain to left-brain activity daily. So I will take a little space in the time continuum to drop a little perspective on tariffs and the economy.

Imagine living your whole life offended and outraged by everything at all times. Imagine being American and being disappointed and mad that someone is getting the best deals for America. Imagine both, and being The Pod Save America girls, Jonathan Capehart, Elizabeth Warren, or any other liberal pundit like the folks at AXIOS. The US GDP presently is $30.507 trillion. The Axios reporter wants us to believe 3% GDP growth was due to Microsoft investing in AI?

These cats have a lot to say about tariff policy and the Trump economy. However, where was Elizabeth Warren when Biden was in office? Didn’t hear a word about inflation or cost.

In a written statement and press release on April 29, 2025, Warren cautioned that Trump’s tariff-driven economic shock is “a self inflicted crisis” threatening “a cascade of defaults, foreclosures, and personal bankruptcies.” She stressed that millions of families living paycheck-to-paycheck could be pushed over the edge by the loss of jobs and rising bills

On CNN, Warren said:

“What Donald Trump has announced in terms of his tariffs is just plain dumb. … broad, it’s across the board, it applies to too many countries all at once. … putting a tariff on Canadian lumber just drives up the cost of building homes … We need more homes … and we sure don’t need them to be more expensive.”

On CNN’s State of the Union, she stated:

“Tariffs can be an important tool in the toolbox when used in targeted ways, but right now … what we’ve got is chaos and corruption. … Donald Trump has imposed a tariff on everyone everywhere … And then … he adds a nice layer of corruption … exception to the China deal for iPhones.”

Seems like news writers are doubling down on economic disaster, using even the most far-fetched scenarios to justify their predictions. It may be an overreaction to the last 6 months of incorrect doom and gloom forecasts. Whatever the left said would happen didn’t. I’m not happy with everything Trump has done, but AMERICA needs to be run like a business and show profits, and IT IS – now.

If we were infected with the brainwashed bourgeois banality proffered by the aforementioned, America, based on fear-mongering alone, would be in a depression. Instead, inflation has not risen as predicted and has remained steady at 2.7 percent, both year over year and from June to July. What does this mean? It demonstrates that the use of tariffs has not been seen since the 1930s. What we have is the inflation of food cost remaining flat (0%) and the cost of energy down 1.1%. This demonstrates the difference between having a competent President and a senile figurehead. It is so stark that the night-and-day analogy doesn’t do it justice.

But what do democrats do to maintain their predictions hyper hyperinflation as a consequence of Trump’s use of tariffs? They just move the goalposts as always. Makes me wish that fear-mongering should be punishable by law. Constant doom and gloom from powerful people like federal politicians about the future economy tends to nudge it in that direction, and that’s what they were hoping to accomplish. Now with 3% GDP growth, hopefully that creates optimism. And this is real GDP growth, not government-funded GDP growth.

As my readers know, I have been historically and an advocate of tariffs, not because of Trump, but rather my understanding of history and the fact that the U.S doesn’t have a VAT (value-added tax) as most nations do. But it is increased by listening to people who spent 4 years destroying the economy, telling me tariffs are bad. If they say tariffs are bad, they must be good.

What we have here is a group of economically ignorant so-called experts and foolish politicians. They truly have no understanding of what they are talking about. So please ignore them. Few if any of these folks evaluate history and acknowledge that for decades, the U.S. has given away our jobs and wages to pay for the rebuilding of Europe and Japan without ceasing since the end of World War II.

Many pundits fail to realize how crucial the US market is for those who need to export to succeed, especially for countries that pay for their energy and other resource imports with U.S. dollars, since no one wants their currency. The US economy remains the sole driver of prosperity, particularly for producers of finished consumer goods. Very few foreign companies are making money in China, India, or Southeast Asia. Why? Because those countries aim to restrict imports and maximize exports.

Even the EU is a less open market to foreign goods than the US. Regarding economic theory and tariffs, it fails to take into account how exporting companies in a market of many, many competitors may respond. It simply assumes the importing nation’s consumers will pay the tariffs. Theory and reality do not always align. Companies compete against each other, and the American market is one of the world’s most competitive. Those companies that are very profitable may choose to take less profit to retain sales in the US. They may increase prices in other markets where they face less competition; this is especially true in East Asia. They may try to squeeze suppliers to reduce prices, or they may introduce more efficient processes and machinery to cut costs to absorb the tariff. What the Trump administration now needs to do is monitor compliance. Those countries that have agreed to impose 0% tariffs on US goods may try to limit these goods through non-tariff barriers. Trump has proved he will respond quickly and forcefully, so fair warning to those who may attempt such a gambit.

These cats also need to stop saying Europe, it’s the EU. According to the UN, there are 44 countries in Europe, and the EU is 27 of those countries. The French called the EU deal “submission”. Take it from them, they know. After WWII, all of Europe and Japan got a sweetheart deal in order to rebuild. That deal should have been cancelled in the 60s. Instead, it was allowed to continue until today. The EU and Japan got off light. The EU owes America for 7 decades of defense costs.

True, I could have written about crime in D.C., Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and this gerrymandering idiocy, or Epstein shit, or even dumb azz Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s curious argument against Texas redistricting, but IFGAF about this kind of noise.

I would rather speak on my pockets and the obvious. Instead of answers to problems, Democrats just criticize President Trump. When you are sitting in the greatest market in the world, you can charge a cover charge just to get a seat. On the streets, home sales aren’t happening because there’s no affordable inventory for most buyers, and interest rates are still too high.

Meanwhile, US investors have already started building factories to make them domestically, and the USA receives the tariff revenue, and the factories are already under construction. On the other hand, I must admit, I am kind of admiring the commitment to insanity of the left. Rather than go crazy by half measures, they went all the way and then some. It is like tariffs is a new word for them. The way they speak on the subject shows why debating someone intelligent is difficult. and debating someone stupid is impossible.

I also love how this whole thing is viewed as a “trade war” as opposed to a “trade rebalance”. 80 years of the US building the rest of the world. They don’t know economics or basic math. They talk like a 4-month-old baby screaming just to hear themselves talk because they just realized screaming gets attention from adults.

The fact remains, a businessman is doing politics better than any politician. Makes you wonder if the US would have made this change sooner if Ross Perot had been elected back in the ‘90s instead of Clinton or Dole.

These lames don’t get it. They use the acronym TACO to describe Trump. Youngins think TACO is a rapper from Odd Future, I rather think it stands for More like Trump And Capital Outreach, or Trump Acquire Currency Offshore. See, the art of Trump is a beast; he is a Savage.

All the tough talk and threats from countries and blocs of countries that have become extremely wealthy, and because of the treaties where America will do 85% of the heavy lifting militarily, they can brag about universal Healthcare and the like. This is a lesson in being too favorable for too long. The US, after WW2, gave the world favorable trade relationships to help rebuild the world ravaged by war.

That took a decade. They continued as a means of influence, but everyone knew it wouldn’t last forever. Now that America wants to equal the load, everyone who had been taking advantage now acts like we are robbing them because it’s been that way for a long time. Trump isn’t asking for 90/10 deals in our favor, just to share in the wins. It’s like businesses complaining that deporting illegals will ruin their business model, where they can pay slave wages to people who can’t complain and keep the rewards.

The fact of the matter is, all these countries understand the value of the US dollar; therefore want access to the us market and us consumer while denying us companies access to their markets and consumers, so these deals have only been one-sided for decades.

And these know-it-all talking heads? Well, it shows that trusting a democrat with money is like trusting Hunter in a DEA evidence room.

Inflation has come in below expectations for five straight months. Yet most of the officials are chasing an inflation bogeyman that doesn’t exist. At this point, I’ll be concerned if the left stops freaking out. As long as they’re screaming at the sky, things must be going alright at least, but probably pretty well.

Amazing how so many so-called professionals for it wrong. All of these pundits should be held accountable for false information and scare tactics. They have been proven wrong. Now it’s time to press charges.

If I owned a company and I had listened to these “Experts“ that were on my payroll and found out about this GDP Growth today, I would be furious to the point of firing all of them and have them blacklisted from ever working in any position of said company.

If tariffs are lowered on both sides of the system, where would there be an increase for buyers or anyone else? So far, tariffs have been lowered across the board, meaning the USA pays less to export to other nations, and other nations also pay less in tariffs to import goods into the USA. The net benefit between the decrease in what the USA pays to export and what it pays to import results in lower costs for consumers. These people are mixing up details to create confusion. Imagine how the economy would look if the feds lowered the rates.

The truth is, these folks just refuse to give Trump any logical credit. “The economy looks strong, but blah blah blah.” If it’s determined that these individuals knowingly made false statements with the intent to deceive, there should be serious consequences. In cases involving national security or public trust, such actions may warrant investigation under the appropriate legal framework. In other words, charge them with treason.

Democrats have truly lost their minds. Mutilation of children is what is important to them. Oh, and ILLEGALS. Data shows business investment in the USA is increasing. These TV economists are cats who couldn’t get hired at any corporation or were fired. Yet they always say they speak for the worker. I’ve grown to loathe the word “workers”. That, to me, is what Marxists and leftists think of the average American.
