David made up a song to encapsulate his loneliness caused by his isolation from the entropy of his creator. David never knew the ” mind of God “( i.e., God doesn’t have a ” mind “( i.e., “mind” is the sum total of sense impressions). God doesn’t know the world and its inhabitants merely by human senses alone. God’s thoughts are greater than human thoughts). God taught man all that man knows, not all that God knows. So, indeed,” what is man ? Man is a deceived, and misguided divine creation presently being misused by a jealous fallen angel who possesses a little more knowledge than a man, and who loves his creator,( i.e., God ) and wants to come home.

actually, it goes even deeper. This question was said to have been first asked by angels when when mankind fell. David is just referencing them in this passage. It’s why he adds, made them a little lower than the angels. That was humility, bc God has said he will lift us up above the angels who questioned, to elevate us to become Sons of God, and to rule with him. He is turning it into a deeper sense of wonder.
