German Americans are Americans who have full or partial German ancestry. With an estimated size of approximately 44.2 million in 2018, German Americans are the largest of the self-reported ancestry groups by the United States Census Bureau in its American Community Survey. German Americans account for about one third of the total ethnic German population in the world. President Donald Trump is a German American citizen. Some people believe that the German people are the most intelligent of the white races of mankind. During World War Two, Germany allied with Japan in their attempt at conquering the world. After World War Two, entire legions of German Scientist and medical doctors were allowed to move to the United States of America. America has benefited greatly as a result of the scientific and engineering skills of German Americans like Albert Einstein and Wernher Von Braun. The German people exhibited an extraordinary herd instinct during World War Two when they followed their leader Adolf Hitler. Many followed him to the bitter end. Berlin fell. Hitler committed suicide and some would agree that the world was made better thereby. After a scholarly study of the political adherence of the German people to their leadership during World War Two, I am left with a need to compare whether or not Trump existentialism and his subsequent authoritarianism approach to governing is too far removed from a World War Two Germanic dictatorship to be considered dangerous to a U.S. Constitutional based American pluralistic democracy with a capitalist economic base that believes in an unequal distribution of available goods and services based on merit. Merit is defined as usefulness to the republic. The Trump administration continues to redefine ” Merit ” capitalistically “, and continues to decline American religious, and political ideals.
