Quoting as follows: “The supreme irony is the Zionists are not the descendants of the Hebrews. The Ashkenazim are not Semites. The Ashkenazim have no genetic, historic or cultural connections to the ancient Israelites or Judeans whatsoever. But they concocted a myth that they are and they are using this lie to advance their goals of ethnic cleansing, regional and global domination.” I have an Ashkenazi Jewish ethnic background and find this assertion to be both absurd and deeply offensive. It would be like me saying that no Black Americans can claim any legitimate connections to the slave stories out of Africa from the 17th to 19th centuries because who knows where these all these Black American people came from, just like all those Ashkenazi European people? The only difference is you believe you can "get away with" making this argument because the time lapse between the ancient past and the modern era is so vast. In fact, Ashkenazi Jewish families - including mine, which was deeply assimilated after it migrated from Eastern Europe to the U.S - has consistent, coherent and clear connections to the millennial-long permuations of Jewish history. We can often trace our ancestors for several (even a few dozen!) generations, even if we can't go back to ancient times because guess what? No one can.. Also, the so-called DNA "proof" gets muddled and proven and disproven with all the scientific studies, it's basically useless. Sure thereare tons of twists and turns in a connection between today and the ancient past that leads people like you to simply write off the story with a stroke of a pen. But it's not that simple. Ashkenazi Jewish homes internalized the ancient past in their ethnic and religious practices in all sorts of ways - large and small - through the observation of customs that can be traced back to the Middle Ages or even much earlier, such the celebration of holidays that resonate with connections to the ancient Jewish past - Purim, Passover, of course, beut even more obscure ones such as the one being celebrated today by Ashkenazi Jews actually going to pray (present company excluded), for the 17th of Tummuz - the date on which begins a three week period of morninig for the destruction of the Second Temple. So really - how dare you! And just to be even clearer, your assertion flies in the facce of the obvious, such as the fact that there are thousands of Jewish families who call themselves Cohens, or Kahans, or Levys, or Levins and dozens of variations. Not to mention the fact that in their choice of first names, Jews have honored their ancient past since forever, naming their children Rebecca, Sarah, Rachel, Moshe, Aaron, David, Daniel, Joshua, etc. As for the rest of what you write, no comment here. You are entitled to your political views although I'm also entitled to disagree with them. But please, do not rewrite my past just as you would not expect Jews to rewrite anyone else's past.
