The word republic is a noun that comes down to us from the Greek and Latin languages. The literal translation of the word republic is ” a public thing. “The political public thing called America hasn’t lived up to its ideal of providing equal justice for all citizens. We should not have to compromise our citizen rights with a white man who wants to return to the days of chattel slavery.
