The metaphysics of contemporary world religions are not based upon empirical scientific facts but upon their own religious beliefs.The problem with metaphysical thought is that no one has the exact same perception of reality as that of their neighbor. Given the varying accuracy of their senses, therefore their are thousands if not millions of thoughts about their polytheistic or monotheistic beliefs.Our founding documents clearly indicate that their existed a belief or beliefs in a particular god.Christianity is but one out of many religions in America.Your alleged recognition of socialist tendencies in our democracy highlights the existence of social programs designed to assist some citizens who, for varying legal reasons, haven’t had a very successful experience with our forms of political and economic policies thus far.

Dear Sir:

While I agree that “separation of church and state” is not explicitly in the Constitution, I reject your notion that Judeo-Christian faiths are in danger of persecution in this country.

Atheism, Islam, Buddism, Judaism, Christianity, and Humanism are all forms of belief systems and are all considered religions, of a type, by their adherents. The beauty of the US is that ALL forms of belief are free to be expressed by their followers. If I want to worship the Sun, Moon or Amtrak,I have the freedom to do that.

What people find intolerable is INTOLERANCE. I understand proselytizing, but I choose to not partake nor do I encourage it because other people’s beliefs are NONE OF MY BUSINESS.

And yes, I’m a “liberal” Christian. Who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ, doing unto my neighbor as I’d like to be treated. With respect.
