For years I contemplated Dr. M.L. King, Jr's seeming definition of Christian faith, and finally reconciled my lost of this great theologian as "God's will."I now believe that Dr. King stood firmly upon his faith which has taught me that death, even a violent death, is not the end according to Christian metaphysics, and biblical teachings. You said " I dare anyone to tell me that my Uncle would support allowing innocent babies to be torn limb by limb from their mother’s womb. I dare anyone to tell me that my Uncle would march for little boys and girls to be given the disastrous drugs and surgeries that some call “gender-affirming” care. My Uncle would likely be like Daniel of the Bible and urge America to repent. He would likely weep to see the race/skin color wars and crime sprees invade our great urban centers, all in the name of social justice."I too am a Christian, and I know that our God is "a jealous God", and it is "his will be done on earth as it is in heaven ", and that God moves the world according to God's will, or appetite.According to Christian metaphysics," Neither death, nor the grave has a victory over us, and the political, and social issues of Americans,no matter how savage, or immoral, all leads to the fulfillment of "God's will."Don't forget that Jesus, while in human form here on earth, had to flee for his life being pursued by the powers that be. Yes, I, like you, believe that Dr. King would have marched in opposition to many political and social issues of the day,but my caveat, in response to your thought provoking article, is please recall the wisdom imparted through the biblical story of " Barabbas. "
