Amen brother Steve... So sad, that in many of today's churches there is much of the "religious spirit of hypocrisy" evident within their walls and within those who label themselves Christian... The very title "Christian" is to become Christ like, not to become associated with a standard of doctrines and traditions of men who put rules and condemnation on people... Jesus never labeled himself to be associated with any " religious cult or entitlement"! No, He simply followed after the heart of God His Father. God's heart loves beyond the sins it sees, loves humanity in the midst of the wickedness of sin that has imprisoned them. Gods heart is quick to forgive and reveals incredible mercy and kindness to any sinner who cries out in true repentance! A repentance that is fueled by Godly sorrow and ignited by a broken and contrite heart, is true repentance... That person desires to turn away from willful sinning... Yes, in truth and reality, even though many of us followers of Jesus Christ still fall into sin at times whether willingly or unwillingly, we have the choice to cry out to God and turn away from those sins that can easily beset us. Each time we repent, turn away, and seek God in a "deeper relationship" we become stronger in Christ, and we overcome our weaknesses. The worst enemy we face is ourselves... Victory is ours; the fight is ours, yet we are not alone, and the battle never ends until we are called home to Heaven.... Be strong in the Lord God and live in the power of His might....
