Guns do not killed people but people with guns killed people. You can use a knife to kill your neighbor, you can use a crow bar to kill a school teacher, you can use acid and poison to kill a love one, you can use a screw driver to kill an uber driver, you can use your car to kill a pedestrian; therefore, are we going to ban all knives, screw drivers, crowbar, acid, cars, pencil etc.. No we are not because the issue is not guns or the screw drivers but the individual who is behind that weapon. Some gun violence are done due to necessity in the inner cities because must young black men do no have jobs and are unable to get jobs due to systemic racism and discrimination implemented by the children of our former slave master. In addition, some young black men cannot get a job due to prior criminal record and a judicial system that does not rehabilitate first offenders in order to prevent them from becoming recalcitrant or returning inmates to the prison system.

Secondly, all guns, rifles, shot guns, ammunitions were created by white people for white people to protect white people from Negroes and anything else that does not have a Caucasian ancestry. White America will never ban all guns as long as their are black people still living in this country because guns are the tool that separates and allows white people to feel safe whenever they see a negro walking down the streets of America. The average white men in America owned more guns than a dozen blacks, Hispanics, Asian put together: yet, the very mere presence of a black man’s body in any area or environment will cause the insecure white men of America to tremble and be in fear; thus, forcing that white man to resort to pulling his rifle and semi automatic pistol out and use it as a deterrent against a black man just walking down the streets.

When we see shooting rampage at School, workplace, mall etc.. the suspect is always a white teenager or white adult male with no criminal records, no poverty, both parents at home, education, no tattoos etc.. and they go on these shooting spree killing about 5 to 10 people and injuring about 10 to 30 people in one day and in less than 15 minutes. Indeed, these white individuals are infected with the disease of madness, insanity, insecurity, fear and the shortcoming of having small private parts for which they blame the victims; but, white America blame the guns and the judicial system blames black people; even though, the shooter was a nerdy white guy.

Someday people will wake up and see that the kind of solutions you and many othets offer are too simplistic. I, too, have specialized training and have been in the trenches of the battle for over 25 years. To say that the problem is not the gun or the person behind the gun is too simplistic. You have to ask a more broader question what type of society that is producing both the crazies and the guns that the crazies are using. The problem will never be solved until we understand its broader structural and systemic elements. For once I would like to read a column that understands the big picture.

Someday people will wake up and see that this writer’s viewpoint is too simplistic, that the problem is neither the gun nor the “nut” behind the gun but the degenerate society that produces both.

We are called, said MLK, to pull bodies out of the river; but at some point you have to go upstream and see who’s throwing the bodies in the river. The problem will never be solved until we are willing to deal with its systemic and structural attachments.

Our old FBI Firearms Instructor Jake Jay use to open his classes by stating:

The gun is not the problem. It’s the nut behind the gun that is the problem. RIP Jake we miss you.

The criminal or someone intent on doing harm to another individual will always find a way and if you can’t protect yourself, you are a victim.

Yes, how about the 17 year old!! Where were his or her parents? How and where did this individual get possession of this firearm? Laws, don’t stop the “unlawful” from getting possession of any kind of a firearm. How did the criminal get to be a criminal? Simple, they broke the law. How do criminals get illegal firearms? Simple again, they steal them, from a neighbor or an easy target who they have been watching, someone who would offer little resistance to a break-in. I know where I live, its a minimum 20 to 30 minutes for a deputy to arrive after you get ahold of dispatch. We don’t have the luxury of being with-in 2 minutes of local authorities, and even with a security alarm, it about the same time. I’ll keep my guns and stay in the country. You can give yours up and let local authorities protect you and your family when they can get there. I worked as a deputy for over 18 years, and I have made these statements true to what I have experienced first hand. You should have some type of deterent if you don’t have time to wait on authorities to arrive. Wake up people, our Founding Fathers drew up the Constitution to take care of the citizens of the United States of America, not to play politics, and stuff their pockets with money from their voters for promises they’ve made and will never keep. You may not agree with what I’ve said, but thats OK. Thats part of the joy of being a legal citizen of “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. Freedom of speech!! May GOD Bless the “United States of America”.
