The right to keep and bear arms is a civil right. Free men have the right to arms, slaves do not. Why would any black person, after realizing this, then support gun control? Why would any black person advocate the loss of their civil right, the right to keep and bear arms? Why would any person, especially a black person, say yes, I want the government to disarm me, to make me powerless, to make me defenseless, to strip me of the tools to resist oppression of any type. Why? The right to keep and bear arms is a civil right that belongs to every American, of all races.
