Then and only then you would see a real concern from white people to limit guns in every possible way.

Just look how the Black Panther Party scared the California legislative back in the day when entered the assembly brandishing their guns. The BBP knew the state gun laws, and right after that gun laws changed overnight in California.

You need licensing to drive a vehicle on public roads. In many states you need a permit to carry a handgun. You do not need a driver’s license to purchase or own a car, nor does it need registration to be driven on private property. The reason gun control fails to gain real traction with conservatives and libertarians is that the restrictions proposed do nothing to prevent crimes. There are more than enough laws on the books on murder, reckless endangerment, assault, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, etc. You cannot make these crimes more illegal. Another big issue comes from the fact that many of the people proposing restrictive gun laws do not have any clue how firearms work. Lastly, the push for banning AR-15 platform rifles is silly, considering long arms (rifles and shotguns) are used in an exceedingly low percentage of gun related crimes. Yet no one speaks towards banning handguns. If you want meaningful change, focus on the problems, not the tools. Focus on the fact that young adults and teens often have no coping mechanisms, or teaching people that carrying a gun does not make you a police officer, it is for your own protection only. Lets address the socio-economic causes of crime. And last, lets actually punish criminals. Stop trying to limit the rights and hands of those who actually care about following the law.
