It is an appropriate challenge for any believer. When we make God the Son in our own image, it is a form of idolatry. It is unlikely that Jesus was white, blonde, or blue-eyed.

I am white, green eyes, and my hair has transitioned from blonde, to brown and now grey. I realize my need Jesus more than ever, and I hope color would never get in the way of that.

If there is any place to find common ground in this world, I believe it begins with Christ.

I know scripture shares that ALL nations, tribes, and tongues will worship Him one day! The corporate church should be doing this today. It should distinguish us from the world that we love our brothers and sisters of all nations, tribes and tongues. This goes especially for those who are poor and vulnerable in the world. It is part of pure religion that is undefiled that James speaks of.

I look forward to the day when we will all worship before the throne that Revelation 7:9,10 allude to:

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Re 7:9–10). (2016). Crossway Bibles.

Thank you for asking the challenging question. It asks, "Do we really love Jesus?" If we do, we will keep His commandments and love one another.

Thank you, Brian, for your article. Love in Christ, Brother.

Wow, what a great question. I had never thought about it. Certainly, just because of geography, Jesus and the apostles would be at the very least have swarthy skin. In the series the Chosen, Jesus is dark skinned. We were all made in the image of God. There are a whole lot of colors out there. I serve Jesus no matter what color he is.
