Their position is nothing but a job, a salary, a retirement plan. And they know if they even try to help their own people, the Party Bosses would have them easily replaced with some other loyal and eager to please slave type.

History show us that there have been only two black American elected leaders who actually did something for black Americans. They broker ranks with the Democrats and gave the middle finger to them. In the end it did cost them their jobs and futures. Maynard Jackson, the first black Mayor of Atlanta used his influence to have 25% of building contractors in the development of Atlanta’s Airport.

This resulted in a never seen before new class of black millionaires in Atlanta. Marion Berry used his power also to help black America in D.C. Though he had some personal issues. The Democratic party still carries great disdain for these two men.
