Check the voting record – only Democrats voted against Civil Rights. People today unknowingly give Democrats credit for it, but in reality, it was driven by Republicans and resisted by Democrats. For years it was a thorn in Democrats’ side as its momentum grew. Finally, a reluctant President Kennedy publicly supported it to garner votes in the face of the Cuban Missile Crisis and Bay of Pigs. Kennedy’s successor, Lyndon Johnson, who signed the Civil Right Act into law, was a flaming racist. He was famously quoted as saying, by signing this law “I’ll have those n****rs voting Democrat for 200 years!”. So, it is by design that Blacks unwittingly vote for Democrats. But the tide is now changing… people are waking up to the facts. Black Americans should vote Republican in their best interest. The proof is in the pudding… under Republican President Trump black unemployment was the lowest in recorded history. Trump was the first president to insist on permanently funding HBCU schools – Obama didn’t even do that. And Trump’s policies fought to reduce Black incarceration. I’m not fan of the man, but under his Republican policies the Black community was FAR better off.

Today’s Republicans are not the same as the Republicans of Lincoln, I’m surprised given the lengths the Republicans will go to keep power, including embracing ideas from people who should not have as much as they do.

What are you proposing as an alternative to our 2 party system, today’s Republicans favor the wealthy and corporations and shoot down any spending the Dems want to do related to social programs?
