Those institutions that don’t meet the standards of accreditation don’t get govt funding. Non-accredited CUs are exactly why the allegations of student loan debt relief is said to be a problem since degrees aren’t recognized from non-accredited schools and those credits earned from non-accredited schools won’t be accepted when transferring or pursuing higher degrees from accredited schools. HBCU should get onboard with meeting those accreditation standards to ensure black students get the same quality of education all accredited schools provide. Even if schools are accredited, they must demonstrate they meet criteria and withstand audits to prove they continually meet accreditation standards.
