I am a veteran marriage, family and relationship counselor and marriage is nothing like a business. it is built upon a covenant, not a contract. Whomever said that it was like a business was very wrong.

I thank you for your advice but it does not apply to me. It is not realistic. Since elementary school, I have always been drawn to people who are smart and ambitious. This concerned my friends and the first kiss I had when I was 10 with a brother. Now, this brother is a successful lawyer. People do not change like that and even if we are in the 21st century many men feel insecure when women are making it bigger professionally. So, I better have someone in a similar situation than mine or even more successful than me. My last boyfriend was immature. When I saw him several months after our breakup and he wanted to know what was new with my life, when I told him I was starting a PhD, he felt in competition with me! I grew up in a family like The Cosby Show. When I started to watch this sitcom since my childhood, I dreamed until now to end up with a smart ambitious brother to build a future with. It is my right to hold on to this dream! I believe that real poverty is a lack of education and honestly I need (in a meaningful relationship) to be intellectually stimulated!
