You lost me at the phrase, “radicalized liberal.” It makes absolutely no sense to alienate the people you’re trying to get in front of by throwing insults. How have you proven that you’re a top flight talking head who wants to get in front of the NABJ audience? And even beyond your diversity of thought rant, I’ll take you even further to diversity in age, disability, ethnicity, and the like. The world is a much better place with diverse views. I think most of the leadership in the NABJ would agree with that. But if you don’t present yourself as ready, willing and able to be a speaker, then who the heck is coming to ask you? You’re no Van Jones, no April Ryan, Denise Barnes or the like. Sometimes you have to step up and speak up. Instead of whining, just do it.

Raynard, A solid conclusion. The issues facing the black community are related to economics. We talk about economic disparities and inclusion; however, we don't discuss solutions nor the investments required to make the change. I don't hear that conversation on the left or the right. Journalists have a greater obligation than to cover the obvious. What Trump says and does. They must dig deeper. Our system of government has three equal branches and we focus on two the Executive and the Judicial. However, the over trillion dollars that the government spends annually starts in Congress. Yes, we must focus on diversity and inclusion in existing organizations; however, the Government spends billions on innovation that creates the next Amazon or Google. How much of that investment goes to the Black community? I agree that NABJ should expand its diversity of thought to include the right. It may want to add experts on where does the money go?
