For those black men who are still suffering from low self esteem, I want you to consider these Vietnamese words that were frequently bestowed upon black men in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese women described us as ” boocoo dap ” which means ” very good looking, or very handsome “. One of the Vietnamese women I knew would braid, and re-braid my hair for the payment of my hair that broke off while she was braiding it. She didn’t ask for any other payment because Mamasan believed that my hair was magical, and brought her good luck. Don’t think less of yourselves brothers. Be strong, and work hard to rediscover your identities. There are more of the people of the world who love us than there are those who do not!!!

There isn’t any proof whatsoever that any form of the Muslim religion ever solved any problems of Negroes or African Americans any better than the white man’s democratic/capitalist political dialectic. The minister Malcolm X had problems reconciling his religious beliefs with the situational ethics he was seeing exercised in America, and abroad by many of his fellow Muslims. Due to the American white man’s violence against Negroes, Malcolm X saw a reason to threaten violence against white men, and this, in some circles, was praised as a representation of African American manhood many years after Negroes participated, and helped win the Civil War. A better argument can be made that the white man has done much more through our form of democracy/capitalism than any form of theocracy conceived by Muslims. The American form of democracy freed the slaves, created the Freedmen Bureau, passed the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth amendments of the U.S. Constitution, and most importantly taught us the value of capitalism. Capitalism is better for African Americans that any other economic system on earth. More money in the hands of more African Americans can solve many more African American problems in America than any vague religious promise of finally making a Muslim heaven your home.The white man continues to prove his worth to African American longevity in America by supporting our concepts of education, democracy, and capitalism.Education from pre-K,kindergarten through high school graduations should be mandatory for all American students.
