Pelvo, you said a mouth full, but I'd like to take it a step further - why should we seek to be rich in the first place? Once we make enough money to satisfy our primary needs - we can pay our bills and be comfortable - why should we continue to chase the dollar? We should spend our lives educating ourselves, enjoying our families, and competing against the person we were the day before. That's what life is about, not chasing more dollars than we can ever spend. After all, a VW can take you anywhere a Rolls Royce can, and for less gas.

America is a nation of merchants marketing their inventions and or products. Study and master business. Selling things and making profits is the way to go. It is very hard to get rich working for someone else. Work for yourself. Find a societal need and establish a business that provides that need to the people and there is a good possibility that you won't be broke. Our ancestors made money to buy land, houses and pay for their education through agriculture selling raw and cooked foods to their neighbors and travelers. There are thousands of businesses that may be explored.
