I use B&W P7’s, wired (iPhone 6S Plus) and wireless (iPhone 7 Plus). Both work well, but I prefer the wired sound. It is also more reliable. The wireless pair cannot use its aptX facility with an iPhone, but does work with my MacBook Pro, provided the Pro’s codex is forced to operate. However, use of aptX reduces the range. As for the opinion a headphone jack reduces stereo separation, this is false.

Wrong on all points.

1. the audio has NOT increased in quality, in fact it has gone down.
2. Sleek? Give me a break. Far more of the majority prefer function over form.
3. Future proofing? Another stupid statement. Hardwired is the future that will never die. Ever. As long as they keep removing the jack, the adapters will continue to sell PROVING that wired is always better in most cases.
4. Yet, batteries are NOT growing. Why? Because the jack didn't take up that much room to start with.
5. USB-C will eventually be replaced by another standard, yet the 3.5 jack has never changed and doesn't need to.

Look, I do not hate wireless. Love it in fact. But there is no good reason to remove the jack. None. Removing the jack is as stupid as removing wireless. The Smartphone is the "Swiss Army Knife" of today's modern technology driven populous. And who in the right mind wants fewer blades/tools on their Swiss Army Knife?!?!

Grow a pair. A pair of audio connections, one wireless, one wired.

It is not true that the 1/8 inch jack produces inferior sound relative to wireless. Apples dongle has been tested and shown to produce poorer frequency response than the 1/8 inch jack it removed. There is also the question of convenience in carrying dongles around. For me, I need the hardware audio jack and cannot see my way clear to buying a phone without one.
