The vast majority of people, of any color, who own firearms are polite, law-abiding people who just want the means of defending themselves and their dependents in the case they’re threatened with violence. Trying to make Las Vegas and Texas into racial issues somehow (deranged white men killing white people–how is that a racial issue?) makes no sense. And saying the were forgiven for needing medical attention also makes no sense. No one forgave them, and both of them are dead, needing no medical attention at all. Both took their own lives, but one was engaged and stopped by another white man with a gun of his own, illustrating the point of my second sentence as well as it’s possible to illustrate.

Oh, and Paul Ryan isn’t a Senator, either.
