Right on brother!! Speak truth to power. There is nothing wrong with questioning whether the lake is shallow or deep before diving in. You are an a true American and its what Americans do because we have the freedom to do it; we question, we probe, we ask why and why not, we resist, we join, we unjoin, we criticize, we write, we talk, we are sometimes more silent than we should be, we march, we sit, we stand and finally we practice freedom as best as we can. You just found out the world isn’t perfect huh? Welcome to life.

Yes, there are terrible problems in this country and trump sucks. But it seems to me that you don’t quite understand what strength and leadership is. If you don’t want to help make this country/world better, get out of the way of those who do. What is the point of the article except to generalize Americans’ values? You want to tell me what this country should mean to me? Get out with that. This country represents some beautiful ideals. Let me tell you something: while you yell into the void, some of us are working to create more unified, positive communities by lifting others up. You’re trying to tear people down. That’s the easy way my friend. Be the change you want to see in the world. Do something with your life.

Douglas you are the exact and ideal lab rat spoke about in this article – clearly clueless. You also did not refute any of the evidence, if you even bothered to examine it at all. Trevo, you may be awake, but you are quite evidently unaware. No, patriotism is not brainwashing. Are you anti-America (you ask)? Well, from the evidence you present I’d say that’s a valid question. Everyone reading your article will have to decide that for themselves. As for me, I know the evidence I’ve seen and the conclusions I’ve reached in my life, and I must say that everything you think you know is from what I’ve learned, wrong.
