I wish I could disagree with your commentary, but I cannot. As a privileged white person, I am amazed at my own obtuseness, let alone the “obvious” blindness of those around me. You captured a truth that flamed a few years ago, but is dim again. I still have a ” I’m the 99%” sign in my window. But the Occupy movement fizzled and was denigrated by many. It’s core truth was reborn in your article. One piece of elitist machinery that Occupy revealed was ALEC, and its nonprofit status to homogenize the country with oppressive legislation aimed at keeping the 1% in charge and enriched. That machine was impacted by Occupy, if for no other reason than involved corporations were confronted and formally withdrew under pressure from consumers. Maybe it takes the outrageous unabashed election of a Trump to rekindle the flame that allowed a peek at the elitist machinery. Let’s wake up again with clarity about corporatocracy as the enemy of freedom and find new and improved ways to bring government back to the 99%.

Trump and Hitler: Shockingly Similar Both Inexperienced, Both Radicals, Both Hired Germans and Racists, Both Played on The Public’s Fear and Anger, Both Painted Deceptive Apocalyptic Views of the Country, Both Promoted Violence Against The Opposition , Both Went Against All Political Parties, Both Blamed A Group Of People For The Problems, Both Planned to Get Rid of Those People Labeled As The Problem, Both Elected Based On Deception – Not Facts, Both Wanted To Run Government As A Ruler – Not A Leader.

People need to wake up. remember the Jews in Germany were in denial too.
