Mr Jackson! not a bad article,and to be honest you have made some good observations,and points that i will address.First let me say at least,you sound like a Black Man,with his head screwed on properly!But your fellow staff-man,one L.Marcus his commentary,borders on insanity!Now let”s discuss your assertions.Personally i think both you&Snoop Lion are wrong,or should i say i disagree with both of you.Snoop is someone who smokes weed every day,helped to create the “TOXIC” DEROGATORY” version of rap music,known as “GANGSTA RAP.This music is poisonous to the Black community,it demeans our women,encourages gun play,and the worship of “MATERIALISM,MONEY,&GUN PLAY!he appeared in two movies,”SOUL PLANE”&TALES FROM THE HOOD.Are you kidding me?He should just shut up,and like they used to say:”Put The Money Where Your Mouth is”Slavery is a “STAIN” on Humanity,and not just Blacks suffered from this Abominable Bondage! however we suffered under the worst form of slavery.Last time i looked “HOLLYWOOD” or the Film industry,is dominated,run&controlled by JEWS! so how can you expect “BLACKS” to control,every aspect of a Black movie,even if they provide their own money,it”s still primarily determined by whites,whether a Movie gets produced or not.The most important thing,which you seem to have missed,is not so much who controls,and runs stuff.It”s the “INTEGRITY” of the people making the movie.Be they Black or white,if they bring “HONESTY&TRUTH regarding,the subject matter this is what really counts at the end of the day.For example take the recent,two part documentary on the life of Jackie Robinson.The Producer was Ken Burns a white man! but guess what that was one “GREAT” Documentary,and all black people,especially our youth need to see that film.So my friend while it would be nice,for Blacks to produce,direct,control,the process of telling our stories,more often it means nothing if the people involved,are not serious&committed,to truth&reality.Finally i would say to you brother,though it may be painful,we owe it to our Ancestors to never forget,our History regarding Slavery and what they had to endure,just for us to be where we are today.Joe Louis one of our greatest boxers,along with Muhammad Ali whom we just lost,said “You Can Run But You Can”t Hide” From the “TRUTH” and only the Truth will set you free!
