Correction. Hermes carried the Caduceus (staff with two snakes) but Prometheus stole fire from the gods. Yet if Hermes was a messenger of the gods, why does the medical industry not represent certainty, cure and healing that the “gods” surely would have known to send? Mythologically, what did Hermes bring? Or does the medical industry not represent “the gods” at all but something else?
