The fact that your article starts off with a fake quote just goes to show your journalistic integrity. I’m not even going to start talking about how ignorant your argument is or how far removed from awareness you seem to be when it comes to Eminem’s songs, lyrics, etc. Just know that you couldn’t have written a worse article, with a worse argument, and a worse set of ideas and “facts” if you tried. I respesct your opinion but, you are wrong. I cant believe you said “when did we stop listening to the ability to tell stories through rhyme with passion and intensity etc..” Eminem completely embodies that entire statement as much(and in most cases) more than other rapper. As far as record sells, no I don’t think that alone should make u the goat. But, you definitely cant knock him for that. Grant it a lot of white ppl buy it, blacks do too. I am one of them. I am a student of hip hop born in 81 so I grew up through a great era in music and Eminems lyrical ability on the mic is unmatched to any rapper I have ever heard. He puts words together and uses vey tricky and complicated rhyme schemes that have left your favorite rappers in awe. He is also respected as top notch battle rapper being that he literally battle rapped himself from poverty to a deal with Dr.Dre (that alone says a lot). I honestly don’t think you heard his music outside of radio singles. I think if you gave his music a honest, objective listen, you would appreciate him much more as an mc. Not saying you might like all of his songs, but remember we are breaking down his lyrical finess, his passion and intensity in his music wich is why myself and many others refer to him as GOAT. With that being understood, we now we can add in the record sales, awards, accolades and his utmost respect for the culture that he helped move forward with his Hip Hop radio station Shade45, his Shady records imprint that launched the career of 50 cent and several others.

In closing, to say that his music has been mediocre for the past few years is a stretch. “Rap God” is considered one of his best songs of all time,and that’s on his latest album. So Yes Eminem is indeed the GOAT

every time i see a post questioning em•s cred it always sez the same things. average for years, a few hot verses back in the day? ”i like the old em ” well we all do but i think he is just getting better not worse in fact im sure many like the new over the old, overrated?NO! catchy hooks you say…. weird ive always thought of em as verse heavy and less of hooks… and alot dont even have choris ive heard em diss hooks for a decade++ next 2pac n biggie are in a known catagory but then u say nas n jay z as if u accept j but not em ive never heard a bad em song i dont even consider jayz very good what so ever hes ok and i listin to him but he just has like almost no good music my fav j WHAT MORE CAN I SAY is jays best song most read never even hear or LISTEN they barly let em on the radio u think cause he bad? alot caused BANNED you hear love the way u lie good song but prolly 1 of the weakest on the track,millions of rappers light years ahead of him u say well, wheeeeerrrrrreeee are they??? as far as rappers who aint underground there like aint none drake is not even like rap to me there is not many real rappers shady killed them all u catch em singing on a track hes luring u to go and say some dumb shit
