Your article is entirely correct, very well written and succinct with the basics explained properly.

I do a lot of political blogging about the Elite and all it mega multinational arms myself. I site a lot of specifics re the candidates so hopefully people don’t vote for people they know nothing about.

Thank you for doing this for all of us.

I am encouraging everyone to cast an informed vote for a non Elite or Elite puppet and trusting in God to help save the world.

I read their fascist agenda, the TPP Obama, Ryan, and Hillary are pushing and it is a nightmare beyond any proportions we have ever seen. The Communist Manifesto is nothing compared to it.

Of course National Popular Vote would be a big change.

The candidate with the most votes would win, as in virtually every other election in the country.

Every voter, everywhere, would be politically relevant and equal in every presidential election. Every vote would matter in the state counts and national count.

Presidential elections would not continue to be about a narrowly focused barrage of attention by the media, candidates, pollsters, strategists, organizers, and ads in the handful of unrepresentative swing states that dominate and determine the general election, while most of the country is politically irrelevant.

The current winner-take-all method of awarding electoral votes is not in the U.S. Constitution. It was not debated at the Constitutional Convention. It is not mentioned in the Federalist Papers. It was not the Founders’ choice. It was used by only three states in 1789, and all three of them repealed it by 1800. It is not entitled to any special deference based on history or the historical meaning of the words in the U.S. Constitution. The actions taken by the Founding Fathers make it clear that they never gave their imprimatur to the winner-take-all method. The winner-take-all method of awarding electoral votes became dominant only in the 1830s, when most of the Founders had been dead for decades, after the states adopted it, one-by-one, in order to maximize the power of the party in power in each state.

Thanks Oldulph but there are two problems here. First the fact that such a bill was even needed shows that the system I spoke of has been in place all the way up until now. Secondly, this Bill which must be signed into law by a team player not on the team of private citizens will change nothing in real terms.

We also have a 5th and 14th amendment which addresses fair treatment and due process, yet the NDAA neutralized that quietly and covertly.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the country.

Every vote, everywhere, would be politically relevant and equal in every presidential election.

The National Popular Vote bill would take effect when enacted by states with a majority of the electoral votes—270 of 538.
All of the presidential electors from the enacting states will be supporters of the presidential candidate receiving the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC)—thereby guaranteeing that candidate with an Electoral College majority.

The bill has passed 33 state legislative chambers in 22 rural, small, medium, large, red, blue, and purple states with 250 electoral votes. The bill has been enacted by 11 jurisdictions with 165 electoral votes – 61% of the 270 necessary to go into effect.
