Ben Carson is a breath of fresh air. So what if he changes his mind! I change my mind about a lot of things often. Why be glued to a bad idea or a bad decision once you recognize you made a mistake? What I like most about him is that he's bright and does not need the accolades. After a dozen honorary Doctorates and the Medal of Freedom he is set for life. And unlike our present occupier of the White House he clearly will not have to worry about his legacy. For once we have a bright guy who has done things as opposed to organizing communities. This man has operated on people's brains for 30 years. He's my guy for 2016. As for half black or 100% black who cares. As recent research has now shown we all carry some of the Neanderthal genes. We all came out of the same soup and after viewing some of images coming back from Pluto we are all a very small blip in the sky; it all depends on your perspective. Carson 2016

Obama is far from my favorite President, I didn't vote for him either time, but I'm very proud of American voters for putting a man in office who looks like he does (half black doesn't matter)and with a name like he has... very proud.

Time for America to have a woman President too, just hope we don't start with Clinton or Fiorina.

But I agree, Carson can operate on me anytime, but I don't want him heading the Oval office.

It would be an honor to have Dr. Ben Carson as my president. He is an honest person of honorable character. If we only achieved half of what Dr. Carson has achieved, we would all be consider extremely fortunate. We are exactly where we are because of the choices we make.

Selecting the right person for the presidency is not about skin color or really being black. It is what does a candidate bring to the national table of ideas. One day someone told me Obama was a black and I said "oh" what's that suppose to mean. Another time, I also met Dr. Carson, when he was a prominent surgeon. Then I didn't get the memo that he was black, before I met him San Diego, California. He then told the people in the room what it meant to be Dr. Carson, and I missed the "black" part about himself, because it wasn't important to be so black about everything that he would not mentioned it. It was more important to get under the skin with a knife and save lives than to even notice a patient's color (my diary notes from back in 1994).
