We must do both, vote and bring some of those trillion dollars we spend every year outside our community, back to our community. The prosecutor who over saw the grand jury was just re- elected, which happened because the citizens of Ferguson didn’t vote or their vote wasn’t counted. In local elections where we are the majority, we should control the politics in that city.

But we should also control the economics in the city as well. This should be a lesson to be learned. As for our youth, they are realizing we need to do more than just protest, but they need direction from real leadership that is missing. I believe change will come, but how long it takes will be determined by who is leading and what direction we take.
