I usually agree with you, but sorry I can’t go there with you. Black folk just REFUSE to believe that their government is manufacturing all sorts of pathogens with the express intent of destroying them. Duncan REPEATEDLY told health care officials that he had recently traveled from West Africa and was exposed to Ebola. Given this information, you mean to tell me that the hospital administered the standard treatment of care armed with these facts? You really believe that?

Somehow when the white people contract the virus they are administered the right cocktail of drugs and nursed back to health. I’m not buying it. Ebola has been singled out to be a black person’s disease, you just wait and see. Just as HIV is.

Everyone loves to reference the famous Tuskegee Experiment, but there is so many more examples of the government using black people as lab rats, it’s ridiculous. Here are but a few tidbits of historical fact for you all:

— Black doctors were complicit in the Tuskegee Experiment. They agreed with the government NOT to treat the black men that were involved in the study. This is an inconvenient truth that black people ignore when they discuss the Tuskegee Experiment.

–WEB DuBois, Adam Clayon Powell, and MLK teamed up with Margaret Sanger to advance her diabolical eugenics experiments using black women as lab rats under the guise of birth control

–Toxic norplant and DeproPrevera birth control is overwhelmingly administered in black neighborhoods, and have been forced onto black women through court judgments

–The history of forced sterilization of black women through the department of social services. Black women were forced into sterilization to keep their welfare benefits.

–The Houston hospital that conducted experiments to test the effects of high doses of radiation on patients. They irradiated their patients which completely destroyed their bone marrow. They all died. Guess what color those patients were? BLACK!

–Black prisoners in Ohio were injected with live cancer cells in 1952 to test how a healthy human body fights cancer

–Between 1987 and 1991, US researchers administered 500 TIMES the approved dosage of Edmonton-Zagreb (EZ) measles vaccination to black babies in LA. The parents were unaware that the mega doses were experimental. It was discovered once children began to sicken and die.

There is so much more I could write on this, but I’ll stop there. The point I’m making is that black people are justified in our distrust of both the medical establishment and the U.S. government. To disregard black folks’ concerns about Ebola outbreak as overblown is not fair.

I’ll agree with you that it may be too early to tell at this point, but I’m willing to bet some money that you see more black fatalities from Ebola than whites.
