I'm from Generation Y, an 80's baby. I can totally agree, today's hip-hop is terrible, but there are a few NEW artists out there like "Hopsin", and "Dizzy Wright" that try to bring an authentic sound and a message. Tech n9ne, Eminem, and Nas still try to keep to fundamentals of hip-hop and bring some powerful messages for the people to relate to also. Today's hip-hop is all about money and living the YOLO life style. Maybe that's why today's generation have more advantages than the older generation but today's generation are more weaker than our elders.

Good artist: Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Nas, Tench n9ne, Eminem, Lupe, J. Cole, Wale

I totally agree with the author. I am from the Generation X. It would be interesting to know if the author is from the Generation Y or older than the Generation X.
