Dear Mr. Aaron, thank you for being one bright light in this present world of darkness. You are a hero and have shown true grit by standing for what you believe. Being a leader in a world of followers is not an easy task. A man is never a man until he demonstrates courage in the presence of death. To break a revered record such as the home run mark established by a legend in George Herman BABE Ruth should be one of the top achievements of a goal reached by man in the same breath as going to the moon was. Not only did Mr. Aaron do it for himself, but he also represented all of the great talent of those players that never crossed over to the majors. The Negro League was comprised of some of the most talented unheralded individuals we will never have the chance to witness or know of. I was still in high school when the record was broken, but it was one memory that I am grateful to have witnessed. Although I was never athletically predisposed or gifted, I remember the pride I had as Mr. Aaron rounded the bases. In closing please know that this one act of showmanship will never be forgotten or erased by omission of recognition. To have done this without using any drug related enhancing supplementation is awe inspiring. Once again, thank you Mr. Aaron. Peace out, Papacool.

This speaks volumes, wished more black celebrities would speak out about racial injustice. We can start by not supporting those who remain silent.
