I would like to add that the sad part is children don't have the strength and maturity to set boundaries like adults. This is sad and painful. Since my childhood, people especially White men didn't respect (this word is not strong enough for the crimes they committed toward me, it is an euphemism) my boundaries and sexually abused me. This article makes me think about several painful things that occurred in my life. Right now, I am strongly working in my business that I am building to make sure that I won't have to ever depend on any White people in the future!!! If all Blacks removed their money from White banks and stopped buying products from Western countries, they would not have the choice to change the rules of their games and they would have the obligation to respect us!!!

Thanks Ms. Burton for another great article of yours. It really enlightened me. I suffered from discrimination and harrassment for years. I didn't realise that when my work tried to padge me, etc. (when I was not at the job), it was a subtle way to disrespect my boundaries. This article is very important to us because too many among us suffer on the job market from harrassment, exploitation, etc. I don't even live in the U.S., I am in Canada but we are all going through the same nightmare in Western countries!!!
