I for one do personally believe in marrying someone within your race. However,as a 26 year old man, I don't see enough substance from black women to fathom the thought of marriage at the present time. It's gotten to a point where Class and etiquette have gotten so empty because promiscuity has spilled over and bad intentions has been displayed from our, "Queens". Plus, this whole thought of being with a black woman under a Euro-centric idea what a relationship is doesn't mesh well. We don't come from monogamy, if a man eastern thought was with woman of his race, he consciously chose to be with that woman as oppose to being mandated and legislated to be with one woman. A woman would have to possess certain intangibles that qualify her of being a wife.

Brothers

Please use these words as a guide should you believe you're close to meeting the "Perfect" Sista. These words were given as a gift to my son who was blessed to find his Queen.

"You have to be able to distinguish between infatuation, lust, love, or adoration & whether or not you're enamored by a female. I've been each one with different women, but I've been all 5 with your mother."

Hey there, very interesting article, firstly let me tell you that I am from South African, living in Cape Town, I've visited the US a few times and I somehow have to say that it actually amazes me how proud "Black Americans" are, in my country we have various different races, however you only get 3 race classifications, which is White, Coloured and Black, Blacks in our country are the ethnic Xhosa's, Zulu's, Pedi's.....etc which forms the majority of our population. Black American's will be classified as Coloured's in South Africa, so getting back to the article, we are having a similar, but opposite problem in our Country, Black women have modernized so much that 1. You will seldom here them speak there native 1st Language, 2. They have broken away from many of there ethnic cultures and lastly, how evident it has become seeing Black Women dating/marrying Coloured and White Men.

So in-closure what I'm actually trying to say is that in my Country, it is us as Males that are the targets to Black females, and these are in most cases very successful career driven women too. Thanx for the read, take care !!!

One of the first rule of thumb is to understand the fact that everybody's definition of normal will be based on each persons understanding and what they comprehend normal to be. As the saying goes, one man's crazy can be another man's genius. Black women have taken a beating on every level one can imagine, so when a person honestly attempts to appreciate what a black woman can bring to the table, it is commonly taken or viewed wrongly. A man does not have to undermine a woman in order to have a relationship. For example, if a woman makes more than a man does that constitute the end of the world? Most men find this reality unacceptable based on their views of being the MAN of the relationship without realizing that all of their physical attitributes will remain with them regardless of who makes more. I for one welcome the opportunity to experience this type of role reversal as long as it resulted in us spending more positive time together as it relates to family building. However, our society as a whole is very rigid in maintaining traditional points of view, which makes change virtually impossible to achieve. On the other hand, if one does not care what others think, all things are indeed possible. It is time to stop trying to put absolutes on all things except for those things are of value, such as honesty and trustworthiness. Seems like everybody has an opinion about any subject under the sun, which is a God given part of freewill and the ability to choose what path to explore. Facing facts, we have to recognize that success is not a guarantee and that it takes alot of work to achieve it. Success does not mean that you will not experience problems and it is safe to say that more problems may result as happiness is being sought. We just have to decide on what matters most and then deal with whatever life throws our way. There are still some good people left in this world, which is why things have been as good as they are. Let us not forget those that sacrificed things in order for all of us to have things better, because the price they paid was far more severe than most of us realize. Peace out, Papacool.
