First of all you, as well as many other conservatives, misuse King’s message and deliver it in a way he didn’t. The concept of ‘judged by character than skin’ has nothing to do with intelligent policies to remediate racism and its impacts.

Second the right and republican party has changed their ideological position before. To assume that it can’t do it again is ludicrous. You all are in the position of cutting off your nose to spite your face. You have very little minority participation, yet minorities will exceed whites some say as early as 2030. That means you need to attract these groups. Obviously your ways are not working so what are you going to do about it?
