best way of stopping gentrifiacation is by communities who are victim to it, to like duh o-r-g-a-n-i-z-e? u can buy up all the houses u want, but if u have a community that is organized then u have power too many times people in black america think that emulating others is the silver bullet, but often are confused, because other communities are organized and work with each other black american are weened from the tit to work for some1 else and to be the best “i-n-d-i-v-i-a-l they can be” fools gold.

The way you described the ‘oppressors’ actually describes the ‘poor’ residents. It’s a great thing when corporation big wigs take over run down black neighborhoods. In most cases, the ‘poor’ residents have lived in the area long enough to make it a clean, safe place to live. But that would be like doing the right thing.

Here is one big example: right now in the U.S. there are hardly five Black billionaires and over 200 are White billionaires. This speaks volume about how the system makes sure that we do not have access to wealth!!!

You can’t gentrify something you don’t own or can’t acquire.

That is point #1.

The only reason Black communities can be gentrified is if there is a lack of home ownership and business ownership in that respective community that is generating wealth and relative local control.

You can’t miss that point Lance.

These communities can be bought because they are not owned. There is very little you can do to “artificially” stop gentrification. Agitation may work but not often. Most of the time it begins on the edges of impoverished zones adjacent to downtown areas.

The best way to stop gentrification is to build ownership.
