While I respect the main point of this article – don’t buy it or give it your time if you don’t like it – I think at the end of the day, absolving them of responsibility for the images or things they portray or represent just because they make it clear that they’re in it for the money, is not right.

True, I think that the only thing that would get celebrities to change is tied to the gain or loss of money – if you see people aren’t supporting you with dollars, then you will likely reinvent yourself. But I just believe that because celebrities have so much influence gained from the support of fans and others, that they should pay it back in some way that’s positive for their fans.

So I think in addition to not supporting that brand with your dollars, you should still expect more of them. But then I also believe that everyone, celebrity or not, has an obligation to use their influence and existence, however big or small, for the betterment of the next man. So if you aren’t taking the opportunities to do that with the gifts God gave you, or the opportunities He lined up for you, then I would say you could be doing more.

But Julie, how are we going to do that? Who is going to galvanize as many Afro-Americans as possible to achieve that goal? Many of us know that we should do that and there are foreseeable and unforeseeable obstacles in the way. From your perspective are there any signs that we are gaining any leverage? Jewish people are the most hated group in the world aside from us. What pulled them together after the Holocaust is the hate that pushed them to unite. I respect Jewish people for that but it seems that we as a people, I don’t know if it’s because of how we were conquer and divided or something else beyond our control, we aren’t making much progress. I want to have more hope, but by observation of what I have seen and been through the hope is slowly being removed.

Sellout, How many times this sellout gonna put on a dress to show my community family values? once was enough twice is to many and its not funny. I don’t look at such trash and you shouldn’t either.I am sure you all leave the movies saying i awww i want a family like that, i want a man like that , my children are going to be just like that yea right!!! you going back to the same hood where they set you up for failure in the first place wake up people!!!

I am glad you are the one who broached this subject because I know my comments on this website are bizarre enough.

YOUR comment that JEWS know the power of the media is a understatement to say the least because JEWS control almost all of our media.

LET me make this clear; almost all the movies and tv programs and well known musical acts are bought to us by a JEWISH owned media companies.

THIS has been documented by many people including JEWISH sources.

IN 1988 a JEWISH journalist and HOLLYWOOD historian name NEIL GABLER published [AN EMPIRE OF THEIR OWN] subtitle [HOW JEWS invented HOLLYWOOD]

THE author goes into great detail about the history and level of control that JEWS have over our media and thus our culture.

HE freely admit that the culture AMERICANS have today is a direct consequence of JEWISH control of the images and ideas that we view and hear every day.

I am proud to say I have never seen a TYLER PERRY movie or anything out of HOLLYWOOD and I have never seen one episode of any of the realty shows;I simply don’t watch it.

YOU can never get the full understanding of this until you know what JEWS actually believe!

Jews understand the power of the media and are the most respected minority in the world! It is time for us to emulate them by making sure that as less as possible we are depicted negatively in movies and so on!!!
