If we love and value our children, and tell them every day that they DO matter in this world, then they won’t go looking for validation in the arms of the wrong people.

We must give our children strength, confidence, and most of all LOVE. Telling your kid “you ain’t nothin'” is what’s bringing us all down.

I agree the damage has been done. How do we put an end to this madness? I’m a 23 year old young black woman. Unlike some of my generation I see the world clearly. I’ve made my mistakes I’ve fell victim to the madness only difference is I chose to no longer be a victim I started by taking responsibility for the way I live,act,eat and think as well as the way I perceive things . It’s hard when society and media is painting another picture.We listen and dance to the very music that mocks and degrades us. Seeing how it’ll only get worst we’re going no where fast. What to do?

What I know for sure as a seventh day adventist every thing I read here they are all truth, it hurts me to see beautiful black women doing stuffs because they wanna belong, they wanna be recognize as the world,s baddest girl, ??????§ a shame that black women all round the globe had lost their values, worth, dignity and respect, here in nigeria we have culture that guides us as a people, back in the days in my tribe ibo I am from onitsha anambra state women does not drink alcohol nor smokes, young girls are prohibited from sleeping with any body called man, but now revearse ??????§ the case, I had been asked by my course mate why I don,t dress nice?
