All of the mannerisms described in the article seem to be directly linked to human nature. There is not one culture among us that has not experienced some level of these traits within their own environments. Racial self-hatred is not anything new. J. Edgar Hoover is a prime example of this as it has come to light that he himself was a black man from Mississippi, who passed himself off as white and straight. There must be a job opening for folks who can find fault, but never offer any recourse as to how to alleviate the sickness. We all know someone who fits the bill when it comes to this topic as we work, eat, and live with them on a day to day basis. Being a hater appears to be the easy way out for alot of these folks and provides an outlet for judging others versus themselves. Starting with me, I can truly state that I am not perfect, but yet I am trying to be better than I was yesterday. No one can help anyone without realizing that they have to start with themselves first and foremost. Once your foundation is solid, then you can try to help the next person in need. We as people are just products of our environments as snitching and backbiting works for those seeking a shortcut to success when it comes to advancement by any means necessary. All I know is that what goes around will come around, as you surely will reap what you sow. Seems like that as technology evolves we are going backwards instead of forward as far as how we treat each other. It is time to do a true assessment of our value system and come back to what got us through the whole time. GOD. Peace out, Papacool.

But…the most hate against black people, do come from black people. Hate on everything else said here but prove me wrong. And dont try to excuse it by saying “black folks were taught to be like that by evil white folks”. Thats getting old. We have so many races and nationalities around us, including what we see on tv to give more than enough example that that’s not the way it should be.

@ Lance Scurvin, I think I know what point you are trying to make, but I can’t be sure because you fill this article with random thoughts, that just barely make sense. Negro is an invention of some white people who assigned a certain code of behavior associated with that word. Negroes are not the ones who have identity problems, they just bought into the code of behaviors associated with the word negro. Being Black is a state of mind, that does not include ridiculing or putting down others of extended family. A Black man of conscious has the duty to respect, protect and always display objectivity.

MOST of our identity problems are in fact religiously based; as long as we as black people believe a white man is the personification of GOD [JESUS] then we will always be dealing with this issue.
ITS time for us to give white people back their religion or at least modify it.
