“Trayvon Martin is dead due to the gross racism of a grossly racist society – Period” I can agree with your conclusion, especially following the not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman. The Racist climate in Florida empowered George Zimmerman to feel comfortable profiling a young black man walking alone at night, Florida Law put the gun in his hand, resulting in the death of an innocent child. The part played by the Sanford Police Department along with The Seminole County Sheriff is testimony as to how the system works for blacks in Seminole County. Who has an alibi for the police keeping a young black male in their morgue, while his black parents made multiple inquiries over 3 days, looking for their son and the deplorable handling of Trayvon’s body at the crime scene.

With all the hard hitting facts that you have described, who can argue. Following someone didn’t escalate this. If Trayvon didn’t strike out this wouldn’t have happened. I do feel for the parents, they have a huge loss, that is a tragedy, no one should have to bear. Just the fact ma’am, please. I wish people would make a stand like this when there is black on black killings daily, nobody is up in arms, why??

Eric, you didn’t prove any points. Your understanding of the law is wrong. You just played one huge race card as an excuse to absolve Trayvon of any responsibility for his own actions, such as attacking Zimmerman. Trayvon made it to the safety of his father’s girlfriend’s home but went back out and jumped Zimmerman, breaking his nose and then wailing on him MMA style. You can hear Zimmerman’s cries for help on the 911 tape. Any reasonable person would conclude that Zimmerman shot in self defense. Case closed. Period.
