Before the Civil Rights era, this is what we did because their were no jobs outside our community, other than low paying menial positions, which is why we created our own businesses to fill in the gaps of opportunities we didn’t have. We actually did a lot more than fill in the gaps, we were actually almost self sufficient and relied a great deal on ourselves. But after integration, we see a different story. We totally rely on people outside our community for everything and we’re the only community that does this to this level. So we can’t keep blaming people outside our community for not hiring us, when we could be creating these same jobs, in our community. For more information on how to do this, click on my name.

Thanks for this inspiring story! Blacks have been brainwashed to work for other people! Even our biggest enterprises have been sold to the mainstream: Motown, Eseence Magazine and so on. When we do that, we create less opportunities for us!
