Disagreements come and go, what matters is how will the issue(s)be resolved? The question that comes to mind in this instance is how can 2 walk TOGETHER unless they agree? Seems like we lose sight on what really matters in this life and get wrapped up in so many issues that get swept under the rug or no action for resolution is ever taken. My personal take on it is that no one should get involved in anything that you are not willing to die for. The fact of the matter is that there was only one of whoever get known for greatness when others may have went down a similar path without fortune or fame. Why get mad about what Obama does or does not do when you are not in his shoes. But if one was, what would you have attempted to do differently? The old armchair quarterbacking approach is still being utilized after the fact. Once something was done, we must move forward for the time of the action and the action itself is over. Both men are great in their own fields, but each of them need to remember the basic saying of staying in their lanes respectively. As far as the Presidency goes, how come we can not be proud of having a person of color legally elected by the entire nation to represent us. But before we go entirely GAGA we need to understand that the man is continually catching HELL and having his decisions sabotaged or undermined by others who can not seem to put old sentiments, both personal and public, aside. In ending, the problem is not the fact that we can disagree, but if we can not shake hands and do what is right afterwards will be the greatest tragedy of all. It is all in how we handle getting through this thing called life. Peace out. Papacool.

We're becoming, as a people, an irrelevant component in the new economic world order and now there's nothing left but to cannibalize each other. We have reached a critical state wherein we might not recover from for another 400 years. A dinosaur even knows this.

The Back and Forth By Critics and Obama Surrogates Is Nothing More Than A "Road Show" Diverting Our Attention From The Discussion Of Serious Solutions

I wrote in a recent article on this web site titled ..Honest Criticism Is Great, But Solutions Are Better posted on January 3rd of this year http://thyblackman.com/2013/01/03/honest-criticism-is-great-but-solutions-are-better/
the following,

"Thus people like Dr. Cornel West and Mr. Tavis Smiley cease to be relevant in the fight to affect this Administration’s policy regarding high black unemployment and poverty because they become vilified characters in a road show of criticism and counter criticism orchestrated by the White House who admittedly occupies the high ground in such arguments. Thus, West and Smiley become the lead story, as we have seen, rather than the subject of black unemployment and poverty." ( It's Joyner and Smiley who are lead story this time!)

You see, the voices of deception which legitimize this Administration’s policies, when it comes to blacks and poverty, can not be drown out with criticism from Dr. West and Mr. Smiley or anyone else, but they can be drown out with solutions. Solutions when presented, require men and women to take positions. And when we take positions, our true nature is exposed. When this occurs, we get to see the true nature and character of everyone including these pretenders of black leadership who say their interest is the improvement of blacks and the black community."

Dr. Boyce Watkins, we have heard it all before, it is time to take us to the next level. That level would be where you actually confront this President and his cast of pawns who run interference for him with doable solutions. When we do this we will than begin to have serious discussions regarding our poverty and black unemloyment. Is anyone listening! www.sslumpsum.com

As far as Tavis and Tom’s friendship, they shouldn't let politics come between them, or maybe it wasn't a friendship at all. Smiley and West are speaking to poverty issues, but are coming to the wrong conclusions. You can’t keep talking about the President and congress helping us when we aren’t helping ourselves first. Power speaks to power. You can’t keep asking for what you want when you come from a place of weakness. Until we start to have conversations about creating our own businesses that will create jobs for our own people, and why we continue to spend a trillion dollars in every community but our own, the situation will continue to get worse, because we aren’t addressing the real issues. Yes we should hold the people we elect accountable, but we must first hold ourselves accountable. To solve this issue and the many others, click on my name.
