I have jackets older than you. Ask some elder female or male about being a woman, being wise and learning to develop reading comprehension before making rash statements. You are 22 years old, you are college educated, yet somehow in your reading my post, you ASSume that my statement categorizes all women as contact wearing, self hating women. Do you fit that mold? Do you know people who fit that mold? Can you show me in my statement where I make sweeping statement like the one you mentioned. Is Tyra a role model to you? How different is she from Beyonce and Rihanna. Inquiring minds want to know. A word of advice for future commentary, THINK before you speak. Compose a rational statement before your respond. @sankofa & @Ramses… First after as a young 22 year old college educated Black American, I am proud to say I am BLACK. Secondly do not categorize all black women as contact wearing, self hating women. Maybe that is why you shouldn’t sit in front of a TV and put into your mind that WE BLACK women want to be like that. Just because of Beyonce and Rihanna have ur image of us deformed, YES deformed, doesn’t mean you actually have to be that ignorant.

Sankofa the key word is we. With the way you and I think, and Mack, can we consider ourselves “we” with this nonsense? Hell no. I could never overstand why anybody would like this big forehead mannequin who alters her image to look like a European. I guess it’s not much different than the dark skinned, fence jumping one who likes to throw phones at the help. We need to be careful who we have as roll models.
