Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce Speaks on Being a Woman.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Who would have known that on September 4th, 1981 that one of the most iconic entertainers of all time would be born?  I’m sure not even her parents thought this would be the case.

Beyonce Knowles turned 31 years old last week. Or course it’s to be expected that Beyonce, her hubby Jay Z and their little one Baby Blue Ivy Carter celebrated her birthday in style like only they can. The lovely family was seen sailing on a yacht in France.

Beyonce is now 31 years old and she has spoken out about her womanhood. Beyonce is no longer the teeny bopper, pop slash R and B singer she was when starting out with Destiny’s Child. Actually it’s been years since Beyonce was seen in that light. She is now a mother and a wife.  She is also a working mom  like many women.  She may not work a nine to five, but she is putting in time like everyone else.

Now she is probably not going to work on a daily basis only to come home to cook, clean, spend time with the children, give her husband what he needs and then start over again.  I am certain she has help from a nanny and a maid to assist her, but she is still a working mom.

Beyonce is now embracing her womanhood. Not sure if this is because of the birth of Blue Ivy Carter or her marriage to her husband, mega rapper Jay Z. Maybe it’s because of her recent 31st birthday. Whatever the case may be Beyoncé seems to be loving her womanhood and her sexiness.

When Beyonce was carrying Blue Ivy Carter in her belly and yes she carried her child herself (regardless of what others may think) she stated to OMG “Everything that I always wanted is happening.”  “It happens in God’s time, and I am happy it is happening now. It is the best time of my life.”

Some people out there can’t stand the ground that Beyonce walks on. Why I don’t know.  But when you think of womanhood Beyonce should be included on the list. When you think of women who are grown, classy and respectful of themselves Beyonce should come to mind.

However, when you think of Beyonce and womanhood reality television flooded with negative images of women fighting, cussing and doing whatever it takes to get a bigger pay check does not come to mind.  As a matter of fact reality television and Beyonce Knowles are not even discussed in the same sentence nor spoken in the same breath.

Beyonce may not be the epitome of womanhood, but she is not a bad example.
